What is Wrong with Mine Theology?

"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified." Romans 8:29, 30

That He "foreknows" something in us, is that not a clear indication that there is "our part" and "duty" in our salvation? If predestination is to be taken in a fatalistic sense, and unleashed without bounds to render man's will ineffectual towards the things that pertain to his salvation, then foreknowledge is superfluous - being superseded by predestination.

What is wrong with taking the word predestination (as with predetermine and foreordain) in an non-fatalistic sense that keeps our will and duty intact: that us whom He foreknew, were far from what He expected us to be, so that He determined from the foundation of the world to save and perfect us through His Son? This means that the way has been made for us (whom He foreknew and loved, even while yet sinners) to be conformed into the image of His Son, through obeying the gospel. This is also a personal ordainment - for each one his own specific means to be conformed (though all into the same image). This is because all are unique, hence our relationships are also unique with Him, even based on the same foreknowledge of God. Our preordainment does not automatically equate to us fulfilling everything that is His will for us, but is also contingent on our will to take heed to His will; but this also does not undue the fact that God determined for us in advance the way in which we ought to walk and attain to.

Him knowing us in advance is not the same us Him knowing us in real time, for knowledge here is used in the sense of a close relationship, such as a shared unity of spirit between friends (as an imperfect example). Thus, He does not seize to know us after He called us, nor while we walk in the way that He determined for us. Predestination does not supersede foreknowledge, instead, they work together one with another.

In analyzing the Apostles conception of God's salvific power and grace, it may be seen that foreknowledge is the source, calling the means, and predestination the end. Justification is the cause of His grace, and glorification is His reward, by His good pleasure by means of His Son - into Whom we are conformed. The whole of this serves as a source of hope and exhortation to His elect whom He chose in Christ unto the attainment of the glory of God; though I will particularly allude to this (in context of our discussion): that that which we committed unto Him in faith - however small - He will keep and multiply by his grace and power unto the last day.

But because we are taken from the same lump of sinners, one may conclude that the foreknowledge of God is not based on anything in us that answers to His will. To answer this, we need to analysis first the concept of repentance and redemption: for repentance unto life must take place first before one can be redeemed from sin and death. Thus, the righteous before Christ stood in need of redemption, and also to receive the whole counsel of God in Christ (when He came) - the new covenant. But even during Christ's time, all His people (Israelites) were found largely estranged from God, such that they stood in need of John's baptism first, but even more so in the context of the preaching to the gentiles (in this case to the Romans): repentance unto life was entirely fit for this situation. Hence why it can be freely said by Paul, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" - this holding true for Israelite (himself) and gentile. Therefore, the role foreknowledge takes in the context of all needing repentance is still in view of those whom He knows shall turn unto Him - just as there were those who before the time of Christ turned from their wicked ways unto the ways of life and yet stood in need of the redemption that the Messiah was to bring. In this way, foreknowledge is applicable both to those who were ready to be redeemed and those who still needed to turn first so that they may be redeemed. Accordingly, the whole of the Apostles declaration (as best as I can enumerate it) is spoken of in view of the redemption from all time of His people, beyond just Israel after the flesh - for all that seek not their own righteousness but God's righteousness; that for the sake of the elect whom He foreknew, He saved them by that redemption that is in His Son; that He (that is Jesus) might be the firstborn among many brethren (us).

Behold the wondrous mercy and sweet favor of God: Christ the Firstborn calls us His brethren! And now, what place may fatalism find amongst this grace? For just as the Son freely worked the will of the Father, so are we freed by Him to freely choose the things of God. "We love Him, because He first loved us".

"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." John 15:16

Indeed, we do not choose Him, but rather, through obedience to His calling: we simply become the faithful and elect (chosen). For man could never choose God for what He is; they only "choose Him" in the image they wish to see Him in - after their own hearts. Truly though, all who were ever justified were justified through the knowledge of the Lord - by whatever revelation they had of Him - and being faithful in those things. Far be it for man to be saved through their "false god(s)" and/or through their works (as if themselves gods)! Now the point I'm trying to make with this is that Jesus Christ has manifested the Father wholly unto us: such that all the things by which the Divine Godhead has wished - once and for all - to justify and refine His people with has been freely communicated and given unto us. Man - including His disciples - could never have perceived this, much less choose that which they perceived not. However, He yet judged them faithful in that which is little - even their faith as the mustard seed, so that He could reveal the Fathers name unto them. For otherwise, many would have chosen Christ - even anoint Him King, so long as they could have Him meet their expectations. In fact, after this manner: many did search and find Him - thus "chose Him"; that is of course, until He proved their hearts and works. So it is today: many choose Christ after their own hearts; and since He is not here to prove their works, the tares appear to thrive among the wheat. Nevertheless, the Spirit of Truth yet continues His work of making a difference between the children of promise and the children of the flesh, albeit, because it is of a more subtle nature, many get away with it. Therefore, in these words to the disciples (and us for that matter), there is the reminder of Who is that author and finisher their faith; for we are simply recipients of His salvation - it came not from us but God.

Top Synod cardinal says ‘females deacons’ are a ‘natural deepening of the Lord’s will’

Cardinal Mario Grech, one of the two leading cardinals in charge of Pope Francis’ Synod on Synodality, endorsed so-called ‘female deacons’ and ‘a different space for women in the Church.’

VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — Cardinal Mario Grech, one of the two leading cardinals in charge of the Synod on Synodality, has appeared to contradict Catholic teaching, stating that “the female diaconate and a different space for women in the Church are a natural deepening of the Lord’s will.”

Speaking on the sidelines of meetings of the Swiss Catholic bishops, Cardinal Mario Grech gave his extensive thoughts on the current status of the multi-year Synod on Synodality, accentuating themes of forms of “equality” in the Church, while also speaking on “harmony” and “unity” in response to more difficult questions about the fallout following Fiducia Supplicans.

The Bending & Easy Christian

To paraphrase something Thomas Watson wrote in the 1600s about politicians, I apply now to churches: "The modern churches are made of willow, and can bend, and side with all parties. Their religion is cut according to the fashion of the times; they can bow either to the east or the west, above, or below. Zeal for truth is blotted out of their creed. Their leaders are latidudarians, tolerant of many variations in theological opinion and doctrine, and can digest things which others tremble at."

As my own pastor just preached yesterday, "You create a god to fit your own lifestyle," rather than to conform your life to God's will and commandments. Christ calls us to deny our appetites and carnal policy, our will, and our own righteousness, and our own aims, our inordinate passions, and sinful fashions, and yes: even our own relations at times:

This is directly from Thomas Watsons "The Duty of Self Denial"

"Ease slays the simple (Pro 1:32). The flesh is full of sloth and effeminacy; ’tis loath to take pains for heaven. “A slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom” (Pro 19:24). He is loath to pluck it out though it is to lay hold on a crown. Weeds and vermin grow in untilled ground; and all vices grow in an idle, untilled heart. How can they expect to reap a harvest of glory who never sowed any seed? Is Satan so busy in his diocese (1Pe 5:8), and are Christians idle? Are they like the lilies which “toil not, neither do they spin” (Mat 6:28)? Oh, deny your ease! Seneca, a heathen, devoted himself to labor and spent part of the night in study. Hannibal forced his way over the Alps and craggy rocks. We must force our way to Paradise (Mat 11:12). Let us shake off sloth as Paul did the viper (Act 28:3-5).

Never think to be brought to heaven as the passengers in a ship are brought to their ports sleeping. “Arise…and be doing” (1Ch 22:16). God puts no difference between the slothful servant and the wicked (Mat 25:26). Those people in Eturia, who like drones entered into the hive and consumed the honey, were expelled from others and condemned to exile. Such as idle away the day of grace and fold their hands to sleep, when they should be working out salvation (Phi 2:12), God will condemn to a perpetual exile in hell
."

I have found this so true in society, among those who profess to know God, but in works deny Him: in Churches with lackadaisical meanderings: ho-hum, you know, let's just get to church, hear the sermon, get fat on the knowledge of God, and go home and eat, have a little down time, play with the kids, and off to work till the next service. Well, SERVICE should be 24/7. Not just the church service.

O, where is that holy Zeale to be stirred up? Where is that fire that burns away the dross? Where is the fire that is hot enough to do it! I'm not talking about getting into a worship service and jumping around, feeling the Holy Ghost, IF it's the Holy Ghost - cuz sometimes it's just emotion and I recall being just as excited as rock concerts, but that wasn't the Spirit! I'm talking on fire so you're glowing, and excited about the LORD, and excited about salvation, and able to share that with others. Amen

Shabbat Parah the Sabbath of the red heifer is this Saturday March 29th, Easter weekend.. that is some biblical timing with the eclipse a week later..

The temple institute has all the pieces in place and want it done before passover, so this seems like the most likely time.

If they sacrifice the red heifers this weekend with the solar eclipse coming up a week later we should expect the week before the eclipse to be similar to the first week of covid where there is a run on the grocery stores, imma stock on up on some TP!

Here in Texas they are actually declaring a state of emergency in multiple counties on the day of the solar eclipse due to the massive amount of people coming to the state.. Seems kinda strange its not like we havent had tons of people come here before for superbowls and things like this, the last eclipse was a "heh, cool, okay back to work" moment for me.

I just find it so odd the news is telling us to stock up for a solar eclipse...

What if this is what happened in the Garden. The language seems to suggest it is possible. IF we let the bible interpret itself.

Genesis 3:15 has the answer: And I will make you (Satan) and the woman (Eve) hate each other, and "your seed" (Speaking to Satan) and "her seed" (Speaking to Eve) will hate each other.)

Where it says "Her Seed" That means physical, human beings... The same hermetical rule applies to "Your seed" Satan's seed is also physical.

Now IF you are one of those people who doesn't understand the scriptures, allow me to clarify.

The serpent WAS NOT a snake, the serpent was cursed later, and the curse was that he crawl on his belly, so he did become a snake, but previously he was more of a hybrid, beast, man mix. This is why Eve was NOT shocked when he spoke to her.

The old English meaning of fruit and midst, and other words in the text, throughout the scriptures, and her being deceived IE. seduced means there was a sexual event between her and the hybrid.

This was to ruin the linage of Jesus, and this is not the only time Satan tried to do this.

Also, this is why the religious leaders said to Jesus, "we were not born from fornication or adultery, after Jesus said "You are of YOUR FATHER The Devil. Jesus was NOT speaking metaphorically here.

So, it would be the linage of Satan thru the possessed serpent, down to Cain, and the other linage would be from Adam, then to Seth, because Cain killed Abel.

And the woman said, the serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

14And the LORD God said unto the serpent, because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: (Prior to this curse he was NOT a snake)

15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; (This seed means they both had physical offspring, Eve did and so did Satan)

Books with examples of evangelistic approaches

Hello,

Does anyone know of any books that have examples of evangelistic approaches?

I have a website dedicated to evangelism, and I conduct simulated approaches, so I need to mention some books for reference.

I provided an example of a simulated evangelistic approach.

The fascinating reformed theology paradox of Hebrew 6:4-6

Hebrew 6:4-6

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

This passage seems to put a dagger into the argument that a save person cannot ever be lost for it describes a person who was enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, became partaker of the Holy Spirit, and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come. To most of us, that sounds like a saved person, but as one reformed saint explained to me, these people were never saved in the first place. When I asked how he knew this, he replied, "Because they fell away."

I did not want to jump into the swirl of that circular argument so I let sleeping dogs lie. But I have thought about what he said for a long time. He was also a proponent of total depravity, often citing 1 Corinthians 2:14 in the King James Version of the Bible, "The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

So we have two conflicting statements. When I combine his two arguments, I have a paradox. Either these people were saved and fell away from it, or they were never saved and yet were able to be enlightened, taste the heavenly gift, partake of the Holy Spirit, and taste the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, all of which seem to be denied possible to a lost person according to1 Corinthians 2:14.

Are the lost sinners who were able to understand spiritual things until they fell away, or were they saved saints until they chose to fall away? If they were lost sinners, what did they fall away from?

If John Calvin were here, I'd ask him. (If I had a fire proof suit to wear.)

OK AG to Lay Out Evidence in Charter Schools' Multi-Million Dollar Embezzlement Case: largest abuse of OK taxpayer dollars ever

AG to Lay Out Evidence in Epic’s Multi-Million Dollar Embezzlement Case

Investigators say two men at the helm of Epic Charter Schools defrauded taxpayers out of tens of millions of dollars over a decade. Details of the scheme, which the state auditor called the largest abuse of taxpayer dollars in Oklahoma history, will be unveiled in court this week.

Chaney and Harris founded Epic in 2010 and contracted with their own for-profit company, Epic Youth Services, to manage the school for 10% of all revenue. That fee exceeded the state’s 5% cap on school administration expenses.

Chaney was also the school’s superintendent until 2019, allowing him to negotiate contracts and control the school’s finances. Brock was the chief financial officer of both the school and the company, which gave him the authority to handle both sides of financial transactions between Epic and the management company.

Luke Smallbone on the Power of Family: It’s ‘More Important Than it Ever Has Been’

A singer who is part of the award-winning tandem For King and Country says the "power of family" can change the world, and he hopes a new movie about his parents will inspire moviegoers to be part of the solution.

Luke Smallbone of For King and Country told ChristianHeadlines he was nearly five when his parents -- David and Helen Smallbone -- traveled from Australia to the United States with big dreams but were forced to chase odd jobs when David's job fell through. The entire family pitched in to help by cleaning houses and mowing lawns, among other things.

Their story is retold in the upcoming movie Unsung Hero, which is scheduled to release in theaters on April 26. It stars Daisy Betts, Candace Cameron Bure, and Lucas Black.

"I learned how to push mow lawns at five years old, and I loved it. I still, to this day, love mowing lawns," Luke Smallbone told Christian Headlines.

The film portrays his father as despondent and his mother as unwavering in her faith. Eventually, Luke's sister, Rebecca Smallbone -- Rebecca St. James on stage -- became a popular Christian singer after CCM artist Eddie DeGarmo gave her a chance. Most of the movie, though, portrays the family as struggling to make ends meet.

What is you first and last appeal, the Bible or Mrs. White's writings?

What is your first and last appeal, the Bible or Mrs. White?

It is my understanding that Mrs. White believed her writings were a lesser light to lead readers to the greater light, the Bible. So if my beliefs are strictly Bible based would I be in discord with her writings?

I studied my way into the Adventist faith over forty years ago, when I was in my early thirties, by way of our Revelation Seminars. It was my interest in understanding prophecies of closing events that got me to attend those studies. My interest in those studies continue to this day. I have come to understand it is my spiritual gift/ since it is my greatest interest.

That interest has led me to understand progressive insights outside of what corporate Adventist are willing to consider, because in my years of experience the church will not move passed what Mrs. White understood in 1880, at the time she wrote the GC, one hundred forty four yrs. ago.

Most are aware, without me having to quote her here, that she knew that new light would be forth coming from her time and that nobody should take the position that all our(Adventist) expositions of scripture are without error. Just because our people have held to certain beliefs, this does not make our ideas infallible, as age does not make error into truth. Neither will any true teaching lose anything by close investigation.

It is this counsel that has given me a quilt free conscious to study outside of her own understanding of prophecy. These progressive insights are easily recognized by church leadership and older laity who are well read into the her writings, and are quickly rejected without any investigation, contrary to her explicit counsel.

The reason I am adamant on closing events is that I believe Adventist are just as misinformed as those believing in a secrete rapture. They believe they will be out of here, when the tribulation begins, whereas, Adventist believe most of Revelation is history, except for the mark of the beast and the bowl judgements. which pretty much means, their in the same boat in that they need not understand it. This is a disaster waiting to happen.

I would be amiss if I where not able to share with you some hard facts for you to consider, Following are six prophetic events which the Millerites believed were fulfilled prior to 1844.

The sixth seal opened in 1755, marked by the Lisbon earthquake. (GC 304)
The fifth trumpet sounded in 1299 and the sixth trumpet sounded on August 11, 1840. (GC 335)
The beast that killed the Two Witnesses is France. (GC 268 269)
The Two Witnesses of Revelation 11 are the Old and New Testament. (GC 267)
The beast with seven heads ten horns in Revelation 13 s the papacy in various forms. (GC 439)
The lamb-like beast of Revelation 13 is the United States. (GC 440)

The Adventist church to date still defends these events as being historically fulfilled.

These teachings predate the ministry of Mrs. White. She grew into these views. She was born in 1827, and was twelve years old when William Miller came to her town in 1839, with the end of the world message, that Jesus would return in 1844. This belief naturally required that all pre-Advent prophecies be fulfilled before 1844.

Those Adventists who endured the great disappointment made some important discoveries about progressive truth and God confirmed the accuracy of some of those discoveries through Mrs. White. However, they did not relinquish those prophetic fulfillments above mentioned established by earlier Millerites, and Ellen White was no exception. In 1880 The GC went into circulation in which Mrs. White explains the fulfillment of all six of those prophetic events.

Adventists understanding of the properties of inspiration combined with the GC has halted any serious investigation into what individuals such as I consider progressive truth. These two issues in my opinion is preventing a much improved understanding of Revelations story, even while we are getting closer to closing events.

(In my next post I shall present both Biblical and historical facts.)

Appellate court rules in Trumps favor

A state appeals court ruled that Donald Trump and his co-defendants in the New York civil fraud case have 10 days to post a $175 million bond, down from the $464 million judgment that was originally due Monday.
The 11th-hour ruling from a panel of state Appellate Division judges, all appointed by Democratic governors, is a major victory and relief for the former president, whose attorneys had said coming up with the larger bond was a “practical impossibility.” The ruling also means state Attorney General Letitia James’ office cannot yet begin collecting on the judgment.

Testing Out My Writing Please Have A Look

We are made of many of the same elements derived from soil and water as Genesis 2:7 states " God formed man of the dust of the ground & breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul". Everything in our physical world has a basis in being created out of star dust. Star Dust in other words debris from Super Nova's that occurred billions of years ago particularly during the beginning of time at approximately 13.7 billion years ago. See here how this fact relates to Genesis 2:7 dust to modern day astronomer and physicist view of the origin of the universe, our physical world being derived from star dust. We are made and comprised of the same elements that the heavenly bodies is composed of as well as our terrestrial environment.

Some of our oldest fossil records are linked to a single event called the Cambrian or Silurian explosion. Out of this event evolved some of the earliest arthropods and primarily aquatic species. We can observe today that some species such as the aquatic isopod underwent micro evolutionary changes to adapt to living on land. On the terrestrial isopod commonly known as the wood louse or (roly poly or pill bug) we can observe gills that allow these crustaceans to survive when submerged in water for short periods of time, this reminiscent of their aquatic ancestry. Many animals within the animal kingdom have underwent the process of evolution on a microscopic scale however large evolutionary jumps such as those purported by Darwin have yet to be seen and tested. This is due to the proposed processes taking approximately one million years to occur. However the Cambrian explosion indicates how life all stems from a single point and a plethora of species was produced during this pivotal time period.

The Cambrian explosion is also referred to as the biological big bang it occurred 538.8 million years ago. It is considered a biological epoch because virtually all modern day animal phyla developed during this event which lasted 13-25 million years a blink of an eye in terms of cosmic timeline. Let's look at Genesis 20, In this section of the Bible the following is stated, "And God said, Let the water teem with living creatures", this indicates that according to the Bible life originated in the ocean first and foremost which corresponds with the scientific view of life first developing in the oceans via life forms such as, arthropods and mollusk both being of aquatic origin.

"What is the great difference between supposing that God makes variable species or that he makes laws by which species vary?"- Louis Aggasiz

There is no fundamental difference in these two separate statements. In the eyes of believers the natural development and progression of natural, processes, occurrences, phenomena and organisms in general is often proof in an of itself for intelligent design. The intricacies and very well planned out details of these phenomena cannot occur sporadically without careful thought being put into these natural workmanship(so to speak). It is the thought process behind these extremely detailed and well thought out designs along with the creative intellect that is stand alone proof for a divine creator. To deny such or claim that random probability was the driving force for such well formed organized systems along with tangible/intangible products is unsubstantiated.

It's Not good to talk about curses and/or demonic spiritual activities. However, if The Holy Spirit leads one to pray against such activities then one should.
The American political Kennedy family suffered a lot of violent deaths. The most obvious deaths were the killing of President JFK, his brother RFK, and the son JFK Jr, and there lesser-known members who sadly died at an early age.
Pray that The Holy Spirit protects the physical & spiritual life of Political Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Junior, and the Kennedy family as a whole given the fact that so many of the Kennedy family members died violently:

I look forward to sharing in these discussions with you all!

The Son is the FIRSTBORN over all creation

Colossians 1:

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Strong's Greek: 4416. πρωτότοκος (prototokos) — 8 Occurrences

BDAG:

① lit. pert. to birth order, firstborn

② pert. to having special status associated with a firstborn, firstborn, fig. ext. of 1
ⓐ of Christ, as the firstborn of a new humanity which is to be glorified, as its exalted Lord is glorified. … This expr. ... describe Jesus as the one coming forth fr. God to found the new community of believers.

Is the Son created by God?

I don't think so. The verse does not use the word "created" for the Son. The Son is not a creature. On the contrary:

16 For in him all things were created:
in
ἐν (en)
Preposition
Strong's 1722: In, on, among. A primary preposition denoting position, and instrumentality, i.e. A relation of rest; 'in, ' at, on, by, etc.

In the instrumentality of the Son, all things were created. He is the creator of everything:

things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.
Looking at the prepositions, if the Son is created, it makes little sense that all things have been created in or through or for the Son. The sentence makes better sense if the Son is not a creature.

17a He is before all things
That's Paul's point: The Son is the firstborn of all creation; the Son is before all things, not that he was a creature.

Matthew Poole's Commentary:

he was not created at all, though first-born, or first-begotten, yet not first-created, (being distinguished here from created, as the cause from the effect), as it refers to him that begets, so it may to only begotten, Christ being so begotten as no other was or could be
Ellicott, Meyer, Benson, Matthew Henry, Bengel, Barnes, etc., expressed similar sentiments. The scholarship is quite strong that the Son was not created.
