The phrase 'gay Christian' blends 2 incompatible truths

Focus on the Family recently posted on social media a clumsily worded post that, while honorable in its desire to communicate truth in love regarding homosexuality and salvation, sent something of a muddled message. The article was removed and a correction was made following widespread criticism, including from publications like Not the Bee.

Such criticism was warranted as it reeked of a slide into insidious Side B “gay Christianity” doctrines. Yet Focus responded well, replacing the article with a solid and faithful essay written in 2013 by Jeff Johnston. Those of us who once lived and identified among the LGBT are thankful that they have been, along with The Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity, faithful to the entire Gospel, championing the hope we have for transformation.

However, I believe the conversation needs greater clarity, especially for those wrestling not only with same-sex attraction but with questions of identity.

Trump's Juneteenth message: "Too many holidays in America ... The workers don't want it either!"

On Juneteenth, Trump says the US has 'too many' holidays

"Too many non-working holidays in America," Trump wrote on Truth Social late Thursday. "It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of these businesses closed."

The president said that the frequency of holidays "must change" and that workers didn't want them.

"The workers don't want it either!" he continued. "Soon we'll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year. It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Earlier on Thursday, the White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said at a press briefing that the White House was open. When asked by a journalist about commemorating Juneteenth, she said she was "not tracking" Trump's signature on any proclamations for the holiday.

Trump himself supported making Juneteenth a federal holiday in the wake of widespread protests following the killing of George Floyd. "Make Juneteenth a National Holiday" was included among his "Promise to Black America over 4 years" policy proposals in his 2020 presidential campaign.

The White House didn't publish a statement on its website commemorating Juneteenth this year.

Man with the world's highest IQ: 'Jesus Christ is God'

The man with the world’s highest IQ has proclaimed that “Jesus Christ is God,” building on his previous contention that belief in the afterlife is consistent with science.

YoungHoon Kim, who identifies himself on his X profile as “the World’s Highest IQ Record Holder” and lists his intelligence quotient as 276, proclaimed his Christian faith in a statement posted to X on Tuesday. “As the world’s highest IQ record holder, I believe that Jesus Christ is God, the way and the truth and the life,” he wrote.

In replies to posts reacting favorably to his embrace of Christianity, Kim vowed to “use this opportunity to lead many souls to God and declared, “Christ is my logic.” In a March 18 post, Kim wrote, “One of the best things I have ever done in my life is earning a BA degree in Christian Theology (nondenominational) from Yonsei University, # 1 private university in Asia.” He referred to theology as “the ultimate discipline of all fields of study.”

8-year-old Christian boy dies in Indonesia after beating at the hands of Muslim students

SURABAYA, Indonesia — An 8-year-old Christian boy died from a ruptured appendix, days after older Muslim students beat him so severely he required hospital treatment, sources said.

It was unclear whether the beating of second-grade student Khristopel Butarbutar in Buluh Rampai village, Seberida Sub-District, Riau Province, Sumatra, on May 19 by four or five Muslim fifth graders caused the ruptured kidney that killed him.

Results of an autopsy released on May 27 described several bruises on Khristopel’s stomach and thighs caused by blunt force trauma and concluded that he died on May 26 from an abdominal cavity infection due to a ruptured appendix, according to Indonesia’s Antara News Agency.

Will You Forfeit Your Soul?

“And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, ‘If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? For what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.’” (Mark 8:34-38 NASB1995)

There are people in this world of ours who profess faith in Jesus Christ with their lips, and they may give an outward appearance of being Christians, but for whom sin is still what they practice, and not righteousness, holiness, godliness, moral purity, uprightness, honesty, faithfulness and obedience to our Lord and to his commands. And many of them are clinging to their sins, and they are living in moral filth, and many are malicious, manipulators, deceivers, fakers, liars, and con artists who are not trustworthy.

They may try to give an outward appearance of being Christians, and of being followers of Jesus Christ, but instead they are mean, cruel, heartless, spiteful, vindictive, merciless and vicious, especially so if they feel as though the image they are attempting to portray is being compromised in some way and that some people are able to see beyond their mirage to what truly lies underneath. They may give off an image that they have cast their sins behind them, but while they are still drifting (wandering) in their sins.

These are those who are still embracing their sins, still living in sinful addiction to particular sins while trying to give off an outward appearance of being Christians and those whose faith and trust is in Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior of their lives. But they are relying upon lies, and not the truth, which are telling them that a profession of faith in Jesus Christ now assures them of forgiveness of all sins and heaven as their eternal resting place, but while they still cling to their moral filth and not to righteousness.

But many of these people are not ignorant of what the Scriptures teach or of what God requires of us who profess faith in Jesus Christ. Some of them, in fact, used to be or still are Bible teachers and/or pastors of “churches.” They know the right way, and they know what is wrong, and yet they continue to pursue and to do what they know is evil rather than to do what is good and right and what is required of all who profess faith in Jesus Christ. But then they speak lies and try to cover up their sins to make themselves look good.

But what did Jesus teach? He did not teach that mere lip service to Christ will secure us salvation from all sin and heaven as our eternal destiny, but regardless of how we live. He taught that if we want to come after him, if we want to believe in him to be Lord and Savior of our lives, and to have salvation from sin and eternal life with God, that we must deny self, and take up our cross daily (see Luke 9:23-26) and follow (obey) him. We must die daily to sin, by the Spirit, and walk in obedience to his commands.

But if we decide that we can just profess faith in Jesus Christ and now claim for ourselves salvation from all sin and guaranteed eternal life with God, but while we continue in deliberate and habitual sin and in disobedience against God, then we need to know that Jesus said that we will lose our lives for eternity. For if the sinful pleasures of this world are what we cling to, and not surrender to our Lord in walks of obedience to his commands, then we forfeit our own souls (our lives) for eternity, and hell is our destiny, instead.

For biblical salvation from sin and eternal life with God require that we must die with Christ to sin and be raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin, but now as slaves to God and to his righteousness. And this is to be continuous throughout our Christian lives until Jesus returns for his faithful bride. For if we keep on in our sins, or if we return to our vomit, and that is where we remain, and if we do not turn from our sins to obey God, then we will not inherit eternal life with God.

But sadly so many people today professing faith in Jesus Christ, who are convinced that all their sins are forgiven, and that heaven is guaranteed them when they die, have sold their souls to the devil, instead. For they are still living like the world, still living for the sinful pleasures of their flesh, and they are not living to please God with their lives. And when Jesus returns for his bride they will not be taken to be with the Lord for eternity, but they will spend eternity in the fires of hell because they wanted their sins more.

So, we all need to believe what the Scriptures teach as the gospel of our salvation and what it means to believe in Jesus and to be saved from our sins and to have heaven guaranteed us when we die. But we need to read the Scriptures in their correct biblical context, for lies abound these days via Scriptures taught deliberately out of context and made to say what they do not say if taught within the correct context. For, if we do not follow our Lord in obedience in this life, we will not be with him for eternity.

Family Cut Off, Threatened by Brother-in-Law

[9] prayers in [1] nation have been posted for Pin and family.
Pin with her two youngest children, 4-year-old Alan and 18-month-old Maysa.
A Christian woman's brother-in-law is persecuting her and her family because of her faith in Christ. Feeling that she was attacked by the "ghost spirits" worshiped by her tribal group in Laos, Pin sought protection and healing in Jesus Christ in 2022. Through a local pastor, she and her husband continued growing in their faith. When Pin's brother-in-law, who is a policeman, became aware that they were Christians, he became furious and threatened them. In April 2025, he cut off access to electricity and water in their home and began a campaign to get his brother to divorce Pin and leave her and their three children. Read More.

Tehillim/Psalm 23: A verse-by-verse understanding (Part 1)

PSALM 23; "A verse by verse understanding" WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO ALL BELIEVERS? (Part 1)

I would like to begin this study in Psalm 23 and look at it verse by verse. We must ask ourselves, "What does it mean to me?" "How does it relate to me as a born-again believer?" So, this will be a study of a few weeks, so, read a bit and then think about what you have read, then come back for more another day.

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT WANT (KJV) ADONAI IS MY SHEPHERD; I LACK NOTHING (CJSB) "Complete Jewish Study Bible"

The only ones that can call Adonai their "shepherd" are the ones who are part of his selected and chosen flock of human sheep. He has chosen us from the beginning of time, and due to his infinite and all-knowing nature, God knew beforehand who would choose to follow Him through Yeshua, those who would choose to obey His Word above the calling of this lost world. A shepherd's job is to guide his sheep and provide for their everyday needs. This would include food, water, shelter, and protection. Today, we have real-life shepherds who care for actual sheep in the fields. Pastors and rabbis are also shepherds, since they have to care for human sheep. Yeshua pointed this out to Peter in John 21:15-18. He stated, "Feed my lambs," "Shepherd my sheep, "feed my sheep.

He wasn't talking about the animal sheep; Peter wasn't a shepherd, he was a fisherman. Yet, He was referring to the human sheep of His pasture. Peter would be the leader of the church in Jerusalem at a later date. The job of shepherds (pastors, rabbis, ministers, etc.) is to teach and guide the "lambs" (young believers) and the "sheep" (older and more mature believers). Sheep and lambs are fed by the WORD of God and guided by the Holy Spirit. The WORD of God in a Holy Spirit-guided pastor or rabbi is what a "flock of human sheep" needs to grow in faith and in maturity. Lambs must grow into sheep eventually.

God will provide all of our needs. This is a promise (Philippians 4:19). He will supply our spiritual needs as He knows what they are. He will and has provided us with our physical needs (food, water, clothes, housing, jobs, etc). Paul tells us to be content in the times of plenty and in the times of scarcity. He might have a lot, and at times, a little. Yet the promise still holds, "My God will supply All of my needs through Messiah Yeshua". Yet He has also provided us with "wants" as well. (How many pairs of shoes do you have in your closet? more than one pair, right?)

So, our Good Shepherd has provided us with what we need during our sojourn on planet Earth, most importantly, He has provided us with the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (BIBLE) and has sent earthly shepherds to guide His human flock of believing lambs and sheep. So, we can conclude that as sheep, we lack nothing, and have everything we need.

To Know Christ's Love

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:14-19 ESV)

So many people today are cutting the gospel message short, and they are reducing it to a mere profession of faith in Jesus Christ, or to a mere acknowledgment of what Jesus did in dying on that cross to save us from our sins, and an acknowledgment of his resurrection from the dead. And they are limiting faith in Christ to a once-in-a-lifetime decision to receive Jesus Christ into your heart whereby you are now forgiven of all sins and you are guaranteed heaven as your eternal destiny. But is that true?

Jesus Christ taught that to come to him we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin), and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to living in sin and for self, we will lose our lives for eternity. But if we deny self, die daily to sin, by the Spirit, and we walk in obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in his power, then we have eternal life with God. For not everyone who calls him “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one DOING (obeying) the will of God (see Luke 9:23-26; Matthew 7:21-23).

Yet so many are limiting the grace of God to forgiveness of all sins and to the overlooking of all future sins, and to the guarantee of heaven when you die, but regardless of how you live on this earth. But is that Biblical grace?

The Scriptures teach us that the grace of God, which is bringing us salvation, is training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives while we wait for Jesus’ return. For Christ “gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

[Titus 2:11-14; Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 3:23-25; Romans 5:1-2; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; 2 Corinthians 6:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:8; Ephesians 6:24; Hebrews 10:26-31; Hebrews 12:12-17; 1 Peter 2:24]

So many people today have this false notion that their salvation from sin is merely forgiveness of all sins so that they will no longer face God’s wrath and so that heaven will be guaranteed them when they die. However…

By God-gifted faith in Jesus Christ, which is not of our own doing, we are crucified with Christ in death to sin and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin but as slaves to righteousness in walks of obedience to God’s commands. We are no longer to permit sin to reign in our mortal bodies to make us obey its desires. For if sin is what we obey, it results in death. But if obedience to God is what we obey, it results in sanctification, and its end is eternal life with God (see Romans 6:1-23).

There is way more to the message of the gospel of our salvation than what the majority in the USA are telling the people. We are not saved from our sins just so we can escape the wrath of God and go to heaven when we die. And we are definitely not saved from our sins with the intention to keep walking in deliberate and habitual disobedience to God’s commandments, in sin, and that God’s grace will cover it all, and that heaven will still be secured us upon death, since we “prayed the prayer to receive Christ.”

Read all the above and below Scriptures referenced in this writing, and you will learn to comprehend what is the breadth and length and height and depth of God’s love, of his salvation, of his gospel message, and all that he intends for us as his followers (his disciples), that we will live holy lives, pleasing to him, that sin should no longer be what we practice, but that obedience to our Lord and to his commands must now be our practice. For Jesus put our sins to death with him so we will die to sin and live for him.

For our faith in Jesus Christ should be that which is from God, which is persuaded of God, which is gifted to us by God, and which is aligned with God’s will and purpose for our lives. For biblical faith requires that we die with Christ to sin and that we now walk with God in obedience to his commands, and that sin and disobedience should no longer be what we practice. For if sin and disobedience to God are what we practice, we will not inherit eternal life with God, but we will face the wrath of God, instead.

Christian Minecraft Server

Hello everyone!

I’ve launched a Christian Minecraft server today called “Acolyte”. Although it’s a Christian server, it’s open to anyone, but the main goal of me pursuing this was to combine two things that I love and make an area where people can talk about faith and build some cool castles. The server is meant for Java edition, 1.21.5, and has plugins such as land claiming, economy, shops, terrain generation, etc. It’s a survival / smp world, and the server address is: acolyte.mcsrv.pro

There’s a Discord server linked to it as well. It’s a place to hangout, talk about the game, have theological discussions, and hopefully meet some pretty cool people. The invite is available on the Minecraft server. I’m still new to a lot of this, and so please forgive any downtime or tweaks that I make to the server, and please give any feedback or criticism if you come up with some ideas. I truly hope you all enjoy it if you get the chance to join.

Basics for Spiritual Warfare

Believe these all work (Heb. 11, Matt. 17:14-21, 21:20-22). Try to be calm and casual about it. Doing so is authority demons will be more vulnerable to (Gal. 5:22-23, Matt. 7:28-29).

Armour
Ask for all the spiritual gifts God is willing to give you. For example, spiritual gift of knowledge will help you understand the Bible. While Spiritual gift of martyrdom will not guarantee death, it will make it easier to enter Heaven should you be close to death. Spiritual gift of voluntary poverty won't put you on the street, but it'll make it easier to cope with loss of possessions in favour of a strengthened relationship with God (Luke 18:18-30, Matt. 19:16-30, Mark 10:17-31). I cannot prove this one Scripturally, but if ever offered unlimited Pentecostalism, reject it. It's a test. Choose safety over power, because abuse of such power will result in long term Holy Spirit loss until appeals are made.

Put on the Armour of God (Eph. 6:10-20). Pray for it to be with you at all times.

Put on the spiritual chains (1 Cor. 10:12-13, Eph. 6:19-20, Phile. 1:8-16, Phil. 1:12-18). Ask for the spiritual chains to help prevent you from blaspheming The Holy Spirit. Ask God to make them permanent. Choose 18 personality traits you want gone. For this one, I recommend the Acts of the Flesh in Koine Greek; Mania, Hubris, and Anti-Agape. You can change these selections any time you want.

Get and stay spirit-filled (Gal. 5:13-26, John 20:21-22). One recommended way is go over the acts of the flesh saying, "It is finished," in a genuine manner. Ask God to refill you with The Holy Spirit. If one is pure flesh, prayers can go unanswered (Prov. 15:8, 15:29).

Weapons
Say, "The Lord rebuke you," (Jude 1:9, Zech. 3:1-2). Drive many demons away in a simple, effective manner. Not everything can be done through prayer alone.

The Lord's Prayer (Luke 11:1-13, Matt. 6:5-15). Some can only come out through prayer and fasting (Mark 9:28-29, Matt. 17:19-21). All manner of prayer and entreaty is pleasing to the Lord (Eph. 6:18, 1 Luke 18:1-8, Thess. 5:16-18). Believe while being spirit filled, and for the right reasons (John 16:23-24, Luke 11:9-13, Mark 11:24, Matt. 7:7-12, 21:20-22).

(Rhetorically) Quote Scripture (1 John 4:1-6, Luke 4:1-13, Matt. 4:1-11), such as the Ten Commandments (Deut. 5:1-22, Ex. 20:1-17). "Is it not written, 'Do not bear false witness,'" etc. Some demons leave through asking questions, so test them thoroughly, especially if one has spiritual gift of prophecy (1 John 4:1-6, 1 Thess. 5:19-22). With audio Bibles and freeware program, Audacity, you can make audio files of multiple Scriptures playing at once to drive away demons. Up to seven playing at once is recommended to prevent drowning them out.

Worship. Psalms and hymns are a good source (Eph. 5:19). Play Christian music, as it drives some demons away (Ps 69:29-36, 1 Sam. 16:14-23). Avoid sinful music, as it only attracts demons. Practice daily gratitude (Ps. 50:14, 69:30-32).

Use the Lord Jesus Christ's name (Acts 16:16-19, 19:11-20, Matt. 28:18). Some demons step outside their domains (Jude 1:6), so be sure to bound them for judgement at the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matt. 16:19, 18:18).

Ohio lawmakers to introduce bill banning abortion, criminalizing the procedure; would overturn constitutional amendment approved by Ohio voters

The "Ohio Prenatal Equal Protection Act" would overturn the amendment to the Ohio constitution, voted on in 2023, that establishes "an individual right to one's own reproductive medical treatment, including but not limited to abortion" before viability.

"[It] is a very, very simple and beautiful piece of legislation in that all it does is identify all human beings as persons deserving equal protection of the law, both born humans and pre-born humans," anti-abortion advocate Austin Beigel, with End Abortion Ohio, told ABC News.

When Beigel was asked if he was concerned that the bill may go against the will of the voters, he said he was not because "the will of the voters was evil."

"And, behold, I come quickly (WITHOUT DELAY)..."

Peace in Christ.

Behold, He comes QUICKLY….that is, shortly…WITHOUT DELAY. For yet a little while, He that IS COMING shall arrive….and will NOT TARRY…that is, will NOT DELAY.

Rev 22:12
(12) And, behold, I come quickly (WITHOUT DELAY); and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

His life is to be made manifest in our mortal flesh. We are to manifest His PRESENCE in our mortal bodies to the people of the outside world (the saved people) who then will be drawn to Him. He shall not delay as it will happen. We shall not mortally perish until we see it.

Yet, the scoffers in the man-based churches (when they will hear the Word of Truth) will come forth and scoff: “where is the PROMISE of His coming (presence)?”

Coming = PRESENCE (Greek: Parousia= presence.) They think and preach that Jesus is DELAYING HIS COMING.

They are of the people of the “prince that SHALL COME”…that is, delaying his coming. They are the ones actually preventing His manifest life from appearing in this world so that it could be saved.

2Pe 3:3-4
(3) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

(4) And saying, Where is the promise of his coming (PRESENCE)? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

But and if that evil servant (we have all been "evil servants" because we have all been part of/partakers of the man-based churches) shall say in his heart that the Lord DELAYS HIS COMING when they will hear the truth of the gospel….the Word of Truth…the good news of our salvation in our mortal bodies. They will scoff in their unbelief: "where is the promise of His presence?"

Mat 24:
(48) But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

They will persecute those who are preaching otherwise….and many will join along with them in their evil words and deeds towards what they will hear.

(49) And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

His fellowservants are those who reveal His life in their mortal flesh....the revealing of the Son of man. They will preach that Jesus IS COMING in the flesh...our mortal flesh.

We must be ready...watching at all times for the Son of man (one of His fellowservants) will come in such an hour we think not. We do not know when we shall cross paths with a person who has the Son of man manifested. We must let brotherly love continue at all times.

Mat 24:44 KJV
(44) Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

We ...the believers of His Word of Truth...shall be persecuted by the unbelievers in the man-based churches who will continue to think that the Lord DELAYS His coming when He does not delay as He said: behold, I come quickly…without delay.

We must not cast away our confidence in our faith of the Word of Truth that has illuminated our minds. We shall be persecuted by the “evil servants” who think that the Lord delays His coming.

After we have done the will of God, we shall receive the “promise”…the promise of His presence made manifest. There is a great recompence of reward…..for we shall receive the promise of His presence now in this mortal body which will then attract the people of the outside world who will see Him through us.

Heb 10:35-37 KJV
(35) Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

(36) For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

For yet a little while, He that IS COMING shall arrive….and will NOT TARRY…that is, will NOT DELAY (in contrast to the preaching of the man-based churches that say that He IS DELAYING His coming.)

(37) For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

Let us HEAR the Word and ENDURE in our faith of it in the face of the persecutions of those who are in the man-based churches whom we once loved and participated in, We shall be persecuted by those whom we were once close to…..and it will not be pleasant.

Mat 13:20-21 KJV
(20) But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

Some will endure for a while but when the tribulation or persecution arises because of their faith in the Word, they are IMMEDIATELY tripped up…falling away immediately from that faith.

(21) Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

The Just One shall live by faith. He shall arrive and will not delay. "Behold, I come quickly."

We must not “draw back” to the man-based churches in fear of the persecutions that shall arise. Let us not draw back unto perdition.

Our soul shall be persecuted by them…but we are to believe to the saving of the soul as when He arrives ….His presence is made manifest in our mortal flesh…then our soul shall rejoice immensely.

Heb 10:38-39 KJV
(38) Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

(39) But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Let us repent (change our minds) and be converted….turn back to the living God…so that our sins may be blotted out so that the times of refreshing shall come from the PRESENCE/Face of the Lord. He will send Jesus Christ to each one of us as His life...His presence...shall be made manifest in our mortal bodies. Others shall then see His face as we shall reflect Him to others.

Greek: prosōpon = face, countenance

Act 3:19-20 KJV
(19) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence ( prosōpon =face or countenance)of the Lord;

(20) And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

We must turn from idols…the images that are being served in the man-based churches…to serve the living and true God….the living and true Judge.

The “images” are their church handwritings of ordinances (such as “statements of faith”) that they are keeping in order to self-govern and judge with rather than keeping and serving the commandments of God that is within us. They are using/serving their images to JUDGE others with supposedly in the name/authority of God. "Little children, keep yourselves from idols". These things lead us to our mortal death. Those who are serving their images are practicing THE lie of the serpent.

1Th 1:9-10 KJV
(9) For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols (IMAGES) to serve the living and true God;

We must depart from their churches…turning to God from their images.

Behold, I come without delay. We are to wait for His Son from Heaven whom God will send to us after we have done His will. God already raised Him from the dead so that we might have His life NOW which delivers us from the wrath to come….death. He that IS COMING shall arrive and NOT DELAY.

(10) And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

We must be not unequally yoked together with the unbelievers…..the man-based churches as they will not believe in the Word of Truth when they will hear it. What agreement does the temple of God have with “idols”…with their IMAGES?

We MUST come out from among the man-based churches (who are keeping and serving their images and will not believe in the Word of Truth when they will hear it).

We must come out from among them (who are "dead" in their trespasses and sins") and be separate from them so that He receives us. He will dwell in us and walk with us and we shall be His people. He will be our God...our living and true Judge. We shall no longer serve their "images"...their "other gods" that they made to keep and serve...to judge others with.

2Co 6:14-18
(14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
(15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
(16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols (IMAGES)? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
(17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

(18) And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

This is a long set of teachings broken up into about 20 minute sections on the big picture view to understanding Christian Universal Redemption.

This is Dr Bruce Wauchope giving a talk about our union with God and the why of Universal Salvation, it will stretch you, but it resonates with my spirit and answers a lot of questions for me.

It is composed of 3 volumes with a total of 70 videos. VOLUME 1: The Gospel of Union ( Structured around John 14:20) Chapter 1: Jesus is in the Father Chapter 2: We are in Jesus Christ Chapter 3: Jesus Christ is in us. Chapter 4: In that day…. VOLUME 2: Christian Fish in Greek Soup. ( How we got into the modern confusion) VOLUME 3: Soul Health. ( How the soul heals) Chapter 1: Outline of Soul Healing Chapter 2: The Conscience Chapter 3: Other Internal Structures Chapter 4: The amygdala trauma and darkness In Volume 1, Chapter 1, comprising 8 videos, 8 Non-Negotiables are laid down that establish a hierarchy of thinking - a hermeneutic, based on Jesus Christ. For Bruce, these are Non-negotiable. The Gospel is to be experienced and lived, it is about "a person in you who you did not put there, but find there". We are called to let Christ love us and to love back. These videos provide a sequential introduction to this early church understanding. Healing flows from the person and message of Jesus Christ and this series outlines some of this flow. Most of the messages are 20 to 30 minutes in length, keeping it coming in short bites. Bruce's understanding is in sync with St. Athanasius, St. Cyril of Alexandria, and the work of T. F. Torrance, J. B. Torrance, and Dr C. Baxter Kruger.

Lawrence O'Donnell addresses the elephant in the living room

It's not "new" news, but it's something that needs to be talked about much more than it is.

In this opinion piece by Lawrence O'Donnell, he addresses the possibility, shared by numerous psychiatrists, that Donald J. Trump is suffering from increasing dementia. He expresses alarm at Trump's wondering why he could not fire Jerome Powell, Chairman of the Fed, and assume the role of Fed Chairman himself. He attributes this not to hunger for power but to not having the cognitive awareness of how the U.S. government, which he leads, works. He then talks about Americans' increasing anger at Trump's failure to control inflation due to his stubborn insistence on disproportionate tariffs, which the Fed and leading economists believe will create high inflation and result in the closure of some American businesses and unemployment. He illustrates the mental decline by describing how Trump in the Oval Office pointed to the Declaration of Independence and said that I think we could have prevented the Civil War. 600,000 lives were lost.

Yes, it's an opinion piece, but I think that it is compelling.

College Commencements Playing Taps instead of Pomp and Circumstance?

It's the worst job market for college graduates in many decades, and Paul Krugman, Noblel winning economist, speculates on the reasons.
He doesn't blame AI, although he thinks that could be a threat in the future. But the reasons he gives are:
  1. An economy frozen in uncertainty, due to off again on again tariffs. Companies are afraid to "invest" in new college graduates who will require lots of training.
  2. Federal employees flooding the job market--70% of whom have college degrees.
  3. Erratic immigration policies.
  4. Drastically reduced investment in scientific research.
So how long will it take for students graduating into this bad job market to recover from their bad luck? The answer, according to a 2023 survey by the National Bureau of Economic Research, is basically “forever.” Graduating into a bad labor market can make you miss a step on the job ladder, depressing your earnings for a decade or more. It increases your chances of being in poor health well into middle age. It even reduces your chances of having a successful marriage.

Oh, and you’ll still be burdened with student debt, now that Trump has reversed the Biden administration’s efforts to offer some relief. Bad Times for College Graduates
So Gen-X parents of Gen-Z graduates, better not turn those bedrooms and basements into game and hobby rooms yet. Your children may be moving back.
And who's to blame? The usual culprit!

Put On The New Self

“Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. But that is not the way you learned Christ!— assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” (Ephesians 4:17-24 ESV)

So, what’s the message for us here? Faith in Jesus Christ is not lip service only. It is not just a verbal profession of faith in Jesus Christ whereby the “believer” is now assured of forgiveness of all sins and heaven as their eternal destiny. The faith to believe in Jesus, which comes from God, and which is persuaded of God, and which is gifted to us by God, and is not of our own doing, results in us dying with Christ to sin and being raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin, but now as obedient servants of our Lord, whose desire it is to please God.

So, as those who profess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are not to live as the ungodly do who have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity, because of the hardness of their hearts against God. We should not have learned Christ in a way in which it gives us permission to keep on in deliberate and habitual sin against the Lord, in walks of impurity and in sensual pleasures. And yet, that is what many are being taught. They believe that a profession of faith assures them eternal life with God even if they are making sin their practice.

So, what is the truth that we all should have been taught? What is the truth that is in Christ Jesus? It is that, by God-persuaded and God-gifted faith in Jesus Christ, which is not of our own doing, we put off our old sinful self which belongs to our former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful and wicked desires. In other words, we die with Christ to sin. Sin is no longer what we practice. And we are renewed of the Spirit of God in our minds so that we no longer desire sin in the way that we once did, and so that we now put on our new self, created to be like Jesus and true holiness.

For Jesus Christ taught that to come to him we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin), and follow (obey) him.

And that really says it all! Jesus Christ did not give his life up for us on that cross so that we would continue living in deliberate and habitual sin and not in walks of obedience to his commands. He died so that we would die to sin and live to him and to his righteousness. He died so that we would no longer live for ourselves but for him who gave his life up to free us from our slavery (addiction) to sin. For his blood was shed for us on that cross to buy us back for God (to redeem us) out of our bondage to sin so that we will now serve the Lord Jesus with our lives in walks of obedience to his commands.

My Sheep

My sheep hear me. They know me.
They listen to my voice and obey.
I call them and lead them.
They know my voice, so they follow me.
They will never follow strangers.
They will run away from them.
The voice of a stranger they know not;
They do not follow him.

So, I tell you the truth that
I am the gate, so you enter in.
Whoever does enter
Will find forgiveness and will be saved.
Nonetheless whoever enters
Not by the gate; other way,
He is the thief and a robber.
Listen not, the sheep to him.

Oh, I am the Good Shepherd,
Who laid his own life down for the sheep.
I know them. They know me.
They will live with me eternally.
The thief only comes to steal and
Kill and to destroy the church.
I have come to give you life that
You may have it to the full…

They know my voice, so they follow me.
