John Piper warns spiritual warfare lies beneath every human conflict

Pastor and bestselling author John Piper recently explained that while Christians face real human conflict, such struggles are ultimately rooted in spiritual warfare, and emphasized the urgency of responding with Gospel-centered resilience and the armor of God.

In a recent episode of the Ask Pastor John podcast, the 79-year-old chancellor of Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis, Minnesota, addressed a listener wrestling with the practical meaning of Ephesians 6:12: “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces in the heavenly realms.”

The listener asked how Christians can apply that verse to the tangible, often painful realities of daily life, especially when interpersonal conflict makes it feel like people, not demons, are the real problem.

My Refuge and My Fortress

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!’
3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper
And from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night,
Or of the arrow that flies by day;
6 Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.” (Psalm 91:1-6 NASB1995)

What can we learn from this Psalm, based on New Testament teachings? Who are those who “dwell in the shelter of the Most High”? We are all who have trusted in Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior of our lives. By faith in Jesus Christ we have died with Christ to sin, and we have been raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin, but now as slaves to God and to his righteousness, in walks of obedience to his commands – all in the power of God, by his Spirit, and by his grace.

Because we have surrendered our lives to the Lord, submitted to his Lordship over our lives, and we are now walking (in conduct, in practice) in obedience to his commands, and sin is no longer what we practice, we are in genuine fellowship with God – Father, Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit. We know him intimately, and he knows us, and he calls us his sheep. He watches over us, and he gives us guidance and direction in the way that we should go, and so we follow him wherever he leads us, in his power.

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; John 1:12-13; John 6:44; John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Romans 2:6-8; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-13; Hebrews 12:1-2; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 1:5-10; 1 John 2:3-6; 1 John 3:4-10]

But this does not mean that nothing bad will ever happen to us. For the New Testament Scriptures, and the words of Jesus Christ, and those of his New Testament apostles assure us that, just as Jesus was hated, mistreated, rejected, persecuted, and put to death for who he was and for the things that he did and said, so will the same happen to us if we follow his example. If we are living for the Lord, and if we are spreading the truth of the gospel, we will be rejected and mistreated, even by other professing “Christians.”

We do not have to be afraid of what might happen to us, for the Lord will give us all that we need to endure and to remain faithful to him, even to the death. And if we submit to his will and purpose for our lives, and if we trust him with all our circumstances, no matter what may come our way, he will keep us from yielding to the flesh and to the enemy of our souls. But we must cooperate with him, trust him, and not flee out of fear. He will give us all we need to endure unjust suffering and to not give way to the enemy.

Now, there are many people today who are using this Psalm to teach that God will not allow us to suffer, and that nothing bad will happen to us at all if we put our trust in Jesus Christ. But that is contradictory to the teachings of Jesus and of his New Testament apostles who assured us over again that the Christian life is a life of suffering, which will include physical suffering as well as persecutions and rejections and even beatings, imprisonments, and death. For we must suffer with Christ if we are to live with him for eternity.

[Matthew 5:10-12; Matthew 7:13-14; Matthew 10:16-39; Matthew 24:9-14; Luke 6:22-23; Luke 12:49-53; Luke 21:12-17; John 15:18-21; John 17:14; Romans 5:3-5; Philippians 3:7-11; 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5; 2 Timothy 3:12; 1 Peter 1:6-7; 1 Peter 4:12-17; James 1:2-4; Hebrews 12:3-12; 1 John 3:13; Revelation 6:9-11; Revelation 7:9-17; Revelation 11:1-3; Revelation 12:17; Revelation 13:1-18; Revelation 14:1-13; 2 Corinthians 1:3-11]

So, be careful that you don’t end up believing the lies which teach you that will not have to suffer. And please do not believe the lies which tell you that you don’t have to repent of (turn from, die to) your sins, and that you don’t have to obey God, in practice, as part of believing faith which saves, and which must continue to the end. For most all the referenced verses in this writing will teach you that faith in Jesus Christ involves suffering, both in death to sin and in being persecuted like Jesus was for righteousness’ sake.

Blessed are you when you’re persecuted
Because of your faith in Jesus Christ.
Blessed are you when people insult you,
And falsely say what leads folks to doubt.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is
Great in the heavens. You’re not alone.

When you are persecuted in one place,
Flee to another. God will be there.
You will be hated by all the nations
Because you testify of God’s grace.
Many will seize you and persecute you,
And put to death the foll’wers of Christ.

Yet do not fear what humans may do to you,
For I’m with you all through the night.
I tell you, love your enemies with my love,
And forgive as I forgave you.
Pray for those who do evil against you.
Rest in my love and grace from above.

US House of Representatives Preps for Vote on Resolution Condemning LA Riots

A resolution introduced by Rep. Young Kim, R-Calif., condemning the riots in Los Angeles sparked by federal agents enforcing immigration law is expected to be voted on by the House next week.

The House Rules Committee announced it will consider the measure on Monday, setting the table for a floor vote next week, Politico reported Friday. The resolution could put Democrats in a bind, given they don’t want to be seen as condoning violence while they have also accused the Trump administration of escalating the situation by activating California’s National Guard and deploying the Marines.

Kim’s resolution “condemns unequivocally the violence perpetrated against Federal, State, and local law enforcement” during the riots and “calls on local and state elected leadership to work with the Federal government to end the violent riots.”
It also “recognizes the right to assemble and protest peacefully” and “expresses gratitude to law enforcement officers for keeping our communities safe in the face of danger.”

“Peaceful protests are a constitutional right, but vandalism, looting, violence, and other crimes are not,” Kim said in a statement. “Let’s be clear: The riots escalated before the National Guard was sent in and were enabled by California’s soft-on-crime policies – peddled for years by [Gov. Gavin] Newsom, Sacramento, and local prosecutors – that have allowed for lawlessness and endangered public safety of hardworking Californians.”

Co-sponsors of the resolution are the eight other Republican representatives from California: Ken Calvert, Vince Fong, Darrell Issa, Kevin Kiley, Doug LaMalfa, Tom McClintock, Jay Obernolte and David Valadao.

Protesters have held near-daily demonstrations in downtown Los Angeles since Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents began an operation July 6 to arrest illegal immigrants. Riots quickly erupted, forcing Trump to call in the National Guard and Marines to protect federal buildings and law enforcement. Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and other Democrat lawmakers widely criticized the move.

Police said Monday that 575 people have been arrested since the demonstrations started, the Los Angeles Times reported. Administrative Officer Matt Szabo wrote in a memo to the City Council that Los Angeles has incurred at least $19.7 million in costs through Monday, the Times reported.

Roughly $16.9 million, including $11.7 million for overtime, was spent by the police department and more than $780,000 was spent to repair damage at City Hall, a police headquarters downtown, and other city buildings.

The goodness of God

Shalom

Could you please pray the following prayer for me?

Heavenly Father, holy, perfect, and good are You!

"Do not let any evil have power over me and my family; Your goodness and mercy be upon me all the days of my life, in Jesus' name, Amen." (Psalm 119:133 + 33:22)

Thank you for your prayers.

May the Lord bless you and your family in Jesus' name, Amen! (Job 42:10)

Massive identity theft scheme led by illegal immigrants uncovered after raid at meatpacking plant

The spokesperson said a disabled person in Texas, who was unable to work, struggled to get their Social Security disability payments because an illegal alien was fraudulently using their identity and earning wages at Glenn Valley Foods. Another victim in Colorado received a notice from the IRS to repay more than $5,000 after their income was falsely increased due to an illegal alien using their identity to work at the plant. In Missouri, a full-time nursing student lost their college tuition assistance because it was fraudulently reported that they earned too much money due to an illegal alien at Glenn Valley Foods using their Social Security number.

Victims continue to suffer because of past Democratic Party border policies.

Trump Pardons Vet Who Stole Grenades from Army

Jeremy Brown was convicted for his participation in the Jan 6 insurrection. During the investigation, feds discovered a bunch of illegal weapons including a couple of hand grenades he stole from the army. When Trump pardoned all the insurrectionists, this guy argued that the pardon covered his weapons convictions, too. Trump’s DOJ agreed.

Watch Out! Don't Be Fooled!

“And He was giving orders to them, saying, ‘Watch out! Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.’ They began to discuss with one another the fact that they had no bread. And Jesus, aware of this, said to them, ‘Why do you discuss the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet see or understand? Do you have a hardened heart? Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear?’” (Mark 8:15-18 NASB1995)
“And Jesus said to them, ‘Watch out and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.’” “Then they understood that He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” (Matthew 16:6,12 NASB1995)

There is a very good reason for such a warning as this. And something of this nature is repeated for us multiple times throughout the New Testament writings which have to do with keeping a watch out for false prophets and teachers and preachers who teach lies, and not the truth, and who are leading many people astray with their lies, including a large number of people who profess faith in Jesus Christ. And it is good that the passage in Mark 8 includes Herod who was a political ruler of the people of that time.

For many Christians (or those who profess faith in Jesus Christ with their lips only) in the USA today are not being guarded in heart and mind, and they are not watching out for the leaven of the charlatans and “wolves in sheep’s clothing,” some of whom are within the gatherings of “the church,” and some of whom are in positions of power as “kings” (rulers) of nations. And so they are giving their undivided loyalties and devotion to people not of God who are not following the Lord, but their own flesh, some of them of “the beast.”

The Pharisees of Jesus’ day were skilled at hypocrisy. Jesus described them as those who do not practice what they preach, who love places of honor and getting lots of attention, who lead people to hell on the promise of heaven, who profess one thing but live the opposite, and who adhere to religious rituals but not to God’s righteousness. They may appear righteous outwardly to some people. Inwardly they are very evil, full of wicked deeds, greed, hypocrisy, and self-indulgence. And they persecute the saints of God.

And this, in truth, describes many people of power, rule, and authority today, both within the gatherings of what are called “churches,” and within our governments. I believe this is especially the case here in the USA, but we live in a day and time where this is all over the world. And I believe very much that “the beast” is rising, and that the beast is taking over one nation at a time, and it is deceiving people all over the world, and is convincing many people to “worship” its image, and is bringing this world under its rule.

And what is this “leaven” that we are being warned against, and that we are to watch out for? It has to do with moral corruption, depravity, impurity, and deception, which is spreading rapidly within the gatherings of “the church” and within nations of people. It is the spreading influence of evil throughout the church and the world which has many people in its traps, giving adherence to its authority and reign and rule in their lives, because they are believing the lies of these “Pharisees,” and not the truth of God’s Word.

And there is a great deception going on in our world and in the church today which is largely being led by television, the internet, the news media, social media, smartphones, internet devices, easy access to the world of evil at one’s fingertips, and charismatic leaders who lure the people with their personalities, their charm, and their lies, both in the political realm and within the gatherings of what are called “churches,” many of which are just businesses being marketed to the people of the world to grow numbers.

Many people, thus, are being led by what they hear or read or see in the media, and they are not testing what they hear or read or see; to make certain it is the truth and not a pack of lies disguised as truth. Especially we have people here in the USA clinging to one particular political party who are just regurgitating what that political party is spilling out as truth, who are not testing what that political party is saying is truth to make sure it is truth and not a pack of lies, which a lot of it is (on both sides – two in one).

So, we have these warnings in the Scriptures for us who profess faith in Jesus Christ that we should be diligent in watching out for these liars and deceivers and tricksters who are getting the people to follow them and their lies and to not pursue or to seek out or to find the truth and then obey it. We need to be on the lookout for the moral corruption going on within “the church”, the world, and our governments and their “kings.” So we need to be students of the Scriptures (in context) who are obeying only our King Jesus.

My sheep hear me. They know me.
They listen to my voice and obey.
I call them and lead them.
They know my voice, so they follow me.
They will never follow strangers.
They will run away from them.
The voice of a stranger they know not;
They do not follow him.

So, I tell you the truth that
I am the gate, so you enter in.
Whoever does enter
Will find forgiveness and will be saved.
Nonetheless whoever enters
Not by the gate; other way,
He is the thief and a robber.
Listen not, the sheep to him.

Oh, I am the Good Shepherd,
Who laid his own life down for the sheep.
I know them. They know me.
They will live with me eternally.
The thief only comes to steal and
Kill and to destroy the church.
I have come to give you life that
You may have it to the full…

They know my voice, so they follow me.

They are working with the nephilim underground

They say that high clearance military or different contractors with high clearance in correlation to the government are working with the nephilim, the fallen angels in underground facilities. Testified by high clearance people and those who paid with their lives. Some have met the fallen ones directly face to face a person called Ray Bouche` (probably spelled wrong) that worked directly with them. They told him they were the nephilim, they were extremely tall, and he had to sign a contract not to mention the name Jesus not even as a cuss word. They told him they were preparing for an intergalactic war with God, and they were certain they were going to win. Other people have been in the vicinity and confirms. See the movie Higher Entities by FourthWatchFilms.com (also see Endtimesproductions
They say that ufos, or now uap are NOT aliens but fallen angels. And how they go away when people are "abducted" by saying the name of Jesus. One might not believe that, but it was my own personal experience. He saved me.

Important note: Whatever Boeiter claims in his letter, from the description of the letter itself, he seems to have serious issues and his claims should be considered more than suspect.

Short version is that Boeiter claimed to have killed Kolbuchar so that Waltz could run for the Senate, at Waltz's request. I strongly doubt Waltz contacted Boeiter or made such a request. Here's a link to the story:

Unless you eat the flesh and drink the blood of the Son of Man, you have no life in you.

The Bread from Heaven — Revealing the Glory of Christ. A brief study From John chapter 6

After the miracle of feeding the five thousand with just five loaves and two fish, the people were amazed. They followed Jesus, not understanding yet who He truly was. They crossed the sea to find Him again, hoping to see more wonders, to be filled once more with physical food. But Jesus, knowing their hearts, told them plainly that they were not truly seeking Him for the right reasons. They were chasing after temporary bread instead of eternal truth.

Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.” Their desire was limited to earthly needs. But Jesus wanted to raise their minds higher. He warned them not to work for food that perishes, but for the food that endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man—Jesus Himself—would give them.

Here, Jesus began to reveal something wonderful. He was not just a provider of miracles. He was not just a prophet. He was offering them the deepest kind of nourishment—not for the body, but for the soul. This food was not something they could earn or grow or trade for. It was a gift from heaven, from the Father, through the Son.

The people asked what works they should do to please God. Jesus answered in a way that lifted the focus away from human effort. He said, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” All human striving, rituals, and traditions mean nothing without faith in the One whom God has sent. True life begins with believing in Jesus—not just as a man, or a prophet, but as the One who came down from heaven to give life to the world. The people, still thinking of physical bread, said, “Our fathers ate the manna in the desert.” They were referring to the time when God gave bread from heaven to the Israelites through Moses. But Jesus told them clearly: it was not Moses who gave the true bread from heaven. That bread was only a shadow, a symbol. The true bread was now standing before them.

Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” This was a divine claim. Just as bread nourishes and keeps the body alive, Jesus said He Himself is the nourishment of the soul. And unlike manna, which rotted after a day, Jesus gives a life that never fades, a fullness that never runs dry. This is the bread the prophets spoke of. Isaiah wrote, “Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good” (Isaiah 55:2). Jesus is the fulfillment of this word. He is the only food that satisfies the deep hunger in the heart of every person.

But not everyone could accept this. Even though Jesus stood before them, many did not believe. Still, He declared that all whom the Father gives Him will come to Him, and He will not reject anyone who truly comes. He said, “This is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life.” This belief is not shallow. It is not about words alone. It is a deep trust, a daily receiving, just like eating. And then Jesus said something that shocked many: “I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.” He went even further: “The bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

With this, Jesus pointed to His death. His flesh would be broken. His blood would be poured out. Just as the Passover lamb had to be killed and eaten, so Jesus would offer Himself to bring true deliverance. The Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, would become the food of eternal life.

The people argued among themselves. “How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?” they asked. But Jesus did not soften His message. He said, “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.” These were not words about physical eating. They were about spiritual receiving—taking in Jesus by faith, making Him our source of life.

The Old Testament gives us a picture of this. The prophet Jeremiah said, “Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart” (Jeremiah 15:16). To eat and drink Christ is to receive Him deeply into our heart and soul—to trust in His sacrifice, to depend on His life, to draw daily strength from Him.

Jesus said, “My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.” He was pointing to the cross. He would give His life so that others might live. He would be broken, so we could be made whole. He would bleed, so we could be washed clean. And only those who receive this with faith, as their food and drink, will have eternal life.

He also said, “As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.” This reveals a deep truth: just as Jesus lives by the life of the Father, so we must live by the life of the Son. Our life must be rooted in Him. We must come to Him each day as our Bread. Not just once, but daily. Not just in word, but in reality.

Many of His followers were offended. They said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?” They did not see the glory hidden in His words. They were thinking with human minds, expecting a kingdom of flesh, but Jesus was giving a kingdom of spirit and truth. He said, “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”

Even though many turned away, Jesus did not chase after them. He let them go, because the truth cannot be changed to please men. It is eternal. It is holy. It is life itself. He then asked His twelve disciples, “Do you also want to go away?” And Peter answered, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

This is the right response. Jesus alone has the words that give eternal life. Jesus alone is the Bread that came down from heaven. Jesus alone gave His flesh for the life of the world. He is the true Manna. He is the Passover Lamb. He is the daily bread of the soul. And He is the glory of God revealed.

The Old Testament shadows—the manna in the wilderness, the sacrifices at the altar, the bread of the presence in the tabernacle—all pointed to Him. In Jesus, they are fulfilled. In Jesus, they find their meaning. In Jesus, the fullness of God dwells.

He is the Bread that does not perish. He is the Word made flesh. He is the Living One who gives life to all who believe.

Let every heart come to Him. Let every soul feed on Him. Let all people lift their eyes to the true Bread from heaven and say with joy, “You have the words of eternal life.” And may the glory of Christ shine above all else, for He is the gift of the Father, the Savior of the world, and the only One who can give life that never ends.

James Cameron's 'The Abyss' Pulled From Disney+ Over Scene of a Rat in Distress

Look, I am definitely against cruelty to animals, I really am. And the animal in question here, according to the movie's production team, was not harmed in any way, so there's really no harm, no foul. However, two points here:

1. It's a movie, folks. Not real. Illusion. Depiction. No actual cruelty was perpetrated.

2. It's a *rat*, fercrineoutloud. Vermin, ya know? The carriers responsible for destruction of billions of dollars' worth of foodstuffs and property every year, for spreading all manner of disease and filth through the world, not to mention killing 1/3 of the entire population of Europe once upon a time. You're really that worried about a rat??? Medical science labs kill thousands of rats every year, after inflicting hideous experiments on them, not to mention primates, dogs, cats, birds, insects, etc.; and that's not a fictional scene in a movie, that's the real deal. Why don't they protest that?

What I find most baffling is that they're getting their undies in a bunch over this, but they apparently have no problem with depictions of horrific cruelty perpetrated on human beings displayed in movies that (IMHO) never should have been released to begin with, such as The Human Centipede, or The Green Inferno, or Cannibal Holocaust, or any of those forty dozen "I Spit On Your Grave"-type movies and their clones. They're okay with movies that depict cruelty on human beings in a manner that would make Satan queasy, and yet they're worried about drowning a rat???

I really do not understand these people.

Lust - What does normal look like?

What does normal look like for experience and life long christians? i am new and recovering from 20 years of pornography not realizing it was a problem. im a full believer in god and jesus christ, learning and believing more every day. i grew up in a secular home, more so athiest. parents divorced in 5th grade, dad moved out and only loving me with material, and my mother worked swing shift. so i was basically raised by grandmothers and my friends in public school. in 6th grade is where it all started, and it became like brushing your teeth, just a habit. im married now with 2 kids and want to be the parents i never had, and God is helping me with that. but since my community and family has tainted my developmental years where a kid grows, i have no idea what is normal.

What i believe as of now, Masturbation is bad, and so is lust. However the lust is confusing me. i understand that if i look at a woman for more than just a couple seconds and/or have sexual thoughts like "thats nice" or "id like to..." i feel like that is obiously lust. But is it bad to notice that a woman is attractive? is it bad to have lustful thoughts with my wife? i was attracted to her for both her looks and her foundational beliefs. is it bad for me to desire my wife sexually? some of this just seems so contradictory in this area and vague. I love my wife and sex is gods gift, and i have changed and am still changing and i love those intimate private moments with her, but i almost feel wrong for desiring her, and i dont know if that is a misunderstanding or not.

i just have no examples to work off of and no one to talk to about this. i go to celebrate recovery, and that is great and all. but i cant ask them what is normal because they have my same problem, so something went wrong at some point.

Any input is appreciated.

Clement Admonishes the Jews to Repent

"The ministers of the grace of God have, by the Holy Spirit, spoken of repentance; and the Lord of all things has himself declared with an oath regarding it, “As I live, saith the Lord, I desire not the death of the sinner, but rather his repentance;” adding, moreover, this gracious declaration Repent O house of Israel, of your iniquity. Say to the children of My people, Though your sins reach from earth to heaven, and though they be redder than scarlet, and blacker than sackcloth, yet if ye turn to Me with your whole heart, and say, Father! I will listen to you, as to a holy people.” And in another place He speaks thus: “Wash you, and become clean; put away the wickedness of your souls from before mine eyes; cease from your evil ways, and learn to do well; seek out judgment, deliver the oppressed, judge the fatherless, and see that justice is done to the widow; and come, and let us reason together. He declares, Though your sins be like crimson, I will make them white as snow; though they be like scarlet, I will whiten them like wool. And if ye be willing and obey Me, ye shall eat the good of the land; but if ye refuse, and will not hearken unto Me, the sword shall devour you, for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken these things.” Desiring, therefore, that all His beloved should be partakers of repentance, He has, by His almighty will, established [these declarations]."
~Clement of Rome

The point is that this is clearly written to Israel since it is ripe with connotations about the people of Israel. Therefore, does Clement believe God is "done with the Jews"?
I see no reason to believe that, given this is not the first, but the second admonition from him on repentance. The logical conclusion is that one is for Gentiles and one is for the Israelites. It should also be understood that at the destruction of the Temple, it was THOUGHT that at that moment that God was "done with the Jews" but if it is a judgment of God on the Jews, then He is still involved with them. As such, given texts like Jeremiah 31:10 and following, it is clear that there would be a regathering of Israel.

UAP/UFO`S are NOT aliens

When I wasn`t with God I had encounters with aliens. I saw a lot of crafts. They came abducted me for 3 years, same time every night. Until the day I called on Jesus. As I had heard stories. He saved me. It stopped immediately and they vanished into thin air. I still see things outside. But I know what they are.
There is a group that works with and collect testimonies like that and wanted to present it to the general ufo communities. They weren`t interested. Go figure.

A contentious interview between conservative commentator Tucker Carlson and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz exploded in a fiery exchange over theology, foreign policy and national priorities after the Texas lawmaker appeared to equate the Israel of the Bible with the modern Israeli government.

While the roughly two-hour conversationposted Wednesday explored a number of topics including Iran, the war between Russia and Ukraine, and the future of Syria, the interview took a heated turn when Carlson began pressing Cruz on campaign donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), which Carlson accused of lobbying U.S. politicians on behalf of a foreign government.

“That is not only not true, that is false,” Cruz said. According to OpenSecrets.org, Cruz has received more than $1.8 million from the pro-Israel lobby through 2024.

Need prayer for a job

Hi everyone, I would greatly appreciate your prayers- I am in a predicament. I will need to pick up a job soon so I can eat, however I have a number of hurdles to overcome so I can work. I am highly qualified, I have 3 associates degrees from community college, 1 bachelor's degree from Central Penn College, and also a micromasters from RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology), an elite top flight school, I also have my CompTIA A+ certification as a computer technician. However I have had a severe mental illness called schizophrenia and I have not worked for 20 years. There is very little chance on earth anyone would EVER hire a person like me, with my background, I may even have difficulty finding employment as a janitor. Also as of now I feel that I am highly incompetent in my line of work, I might even get fired within days of getting hired once they find out how incompetent I am. I need many miracles so I can work and hold a job, the good news is that starting salary in my field (information security) is very high, $150,000/year to start, if God blesses me with a job in my field I can make alot of money for the church and the poor. Please pray that God blesses me with a good job in information security and that He makes a way for me to work and that I am competent in my field and can excel on the job! I also need a miracle healing of my disease (schizophrenia). I believe that if I got healed I would take right off, I could make a name for myself and get into my field. I have a plan to go to cyber security bootcamp later in the year, that is 8 hours a day of intense instruction for 5 days straight, if I can go to that that will get me up to speed fast, they will teach me everything. Thank you!

The phrase 'gay Christian' blends 2 incompatible truths

Focus on the Family recently posted on social media a clumsily worded post that, while honorable in its desire to communicate truth in love regarding homosexuality and salvation, sent something of a muddled message. The article was removed and a correction was made following widespread criticism, including from publications like Not the Bee.

Such criticism was warranted as it reeked of a slide into insidious Side B “gay Christianity” doctrines. Yet Focus responded well, replacing the article with a solid and faithful essay written in 2013 by Jeff Johnston. Those of us who once lived and identified among the LGBT are thankful that they have been, along with The Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity, faithful to the entire Gospel, championing the hope we have for transformation.

However, I believe the conversation needs greater clarity, especially for those wrestling not only with same-sex attraction but with questions of identity.

Trump's Juneteenth message: "Too many holidays in America ... The workers don't want it either!"

On Juneteenth, Trump says the US has 'too many' holidays

"Too many non-working holidays in America," Trump wrote on Truth Social late Thursday. "It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of these businesses closed."

The president said that the frequency of holidays "must change" and that workers didn't want them.

"The workers don't want it either!" he continued. "Soon we'll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year. It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Earlier on Thursday, the White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said at a press briefing that the White House was open. When asked by a journalist about commemorating Juneteenth, she said she was "not tracking" Trump's signature on any proclamations for the holiday.

Trump himself supported making Juneteenth a federal holiday in the wake of widespread protests following the killing of George Floyd. "Make Juneteenth a National Holiday" was included among his "Promise to Black America over 4 years" policy proposals in his 2020 presidential campaign.

The White House didn't publish a statement on its website commemorating Juneteenth this year.

Man with the world's highest IQ: 'Jesus Christ is God'

The man with the world’s highest IQ has proclaimed that “Jesus Christ is God,” building on his previous contention that belief in the afterlife is consistent with science.

YoungHoon Kim, who identifies himself on his X profile as “the World’s Highest IQ Record Holder” and lists his intelligence quotient as 276, proclaimed his Christian faith in a statement posted to X on Tuesday. “As the world’s highest IQ record holder, I believe that Jesus Christ is God, the way and the truth and the life,” he wrote.

In replies to posts reacting favorably to his embrace of Christianity, Kim vowed to “use this opportunity to lead many souls to God and declared, “Christ is my logic.” In a March 18 post, Kim wrote, “One of the best things I have ever done in my life is earning a BA degree in Christian Theology (nondenominational) from Yonsei University, # 1 private university in Asia.” He referred to theology as “the ultimate discipline of all fields of study.”

8-year-old Christian boy dies in Indonesia after beating at the hands of Muslim students

SURABAYA, Indonesia — An 8-year-old Christian boy died from a ruptured appendix, days after older Muslim students beat him so severely he required hospital treatment, sources said.

It was unclear whether the beating of second-grade student Khristopel Butarbutar in Buluh Rampai village, Seberida Sub-District, Riau Province, Sumatra, on May 19 by four or five Muslim fifth graders caused the ruptured kidney that killed him.

Results of an autopsy released on May 27 described several bruises on Khristopel’s stomach and thighs caused by blunt force trauma and concluded that he died on May 26 from an abdominal cavity infection due to a ruptured appendix, according to Indonesia’s Antara News Agency.

Will You Forfeit Your Soul?

“And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, ‘If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? For what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.’” (Mark 8:34-38 NASB1995)

There are people in this world of ours who profess faith in Jesus Christ with their lips, and they may give an outward appearance of being Christians, but for whom sin is still what they practice, and not righteousness, holiness, godliness, moral purity, uprightness, honesty, faithfulness and obedience to our Lord and to his commands. And many of them are clinging to their sins, and they are living in moral filth, and many are malicious, manipulators, deceivers, fakers, liars, and con artists who are not trustworthy.

They may try to give an outward appearance of being Christians, and of being followers of Jesus Christ, but instead they are mean, cruel, heartless, spiteful, vindictive, merciless and vicious, especially so if they feel as though the image they are attempting to portray is being compromised in some way and that some people are able to see beyond their mirage to what truly lies underneath. They may give off an image that they have cast their sins behind them, but while they are still drifting (wandering) in their sins.

These are those who are still embracing their sins, still living in sinful addiction to particular sins while trying to give off an outward appearance of being Christians and those whose faith and trust is in Jesus Christ to be Lord and Savior of their lives. But they are relying upon lies, and not the truth, which are telling them that a profession of faith in Jesus Christ now assures them of forgiveness of all sins and heaven as their eternal resting place, but while they still cling to their moral filth and not to righteousness.

But many of these people are not ignorant of what the Scriptures teach or of what God requires of us who profess faith in Jesus Christ. Some of them, in fact, used to be or still are Bible teachers and/or pastors of “churches.” They know the right way, and they know what is wrong, and yet they continue to pursue and to do what they know is evil rather than to do what is good and right and what is required of all who profess faith in Jesus Christ. But then they speak lies and try to cover up their sins to make themselves look good.

But what did Jesus teach? He did not teach that mere lip service to Christ will secure us salvation from all sin and heaven as our eternal destiny, but regardless of how we live. He taught that if we want to come after him, if we want to believe in him to be Lord and Savior of our lives, and to have salvation from sin and eternal life with God, that we must deny self, and take up our cross daily (see Luke 9:23-26) and follow (obey) him. We must die daily to sin, by the Spirit, and walk in obedience to his commands.

But if we decide that we can just profess faith in Jesus Christ and now claim for ourselves salvation from all sin and guaranteed eternal life with God, but while we continue in deliberate and habitual sin and in disobedience against God, then we need to know that Jesus said that we will lose our lives for eternity. For if the sinful pleasures of this world are what we cling to, and not surrender to our Lord in walks of obedience to his commands, then we forfeit our own souls (our lives) for eternity, and hell is our destiny, instead.

For biblical salvation from sin and eternal life with God require that we must die with Christ to sin and be raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin, but now as slaves to God and to his righteousness. And this is to be continuous throughout our Christian lives until Jesus returns for his faithful bride. For if we keep on in our sins, or if we return to our vomit, and that is where we remain, and if we do not turn from our sins to obey God, then we will not inherit eternal life with God.

But sadly so many people today professing faith in Jesus Christ, who are convinced that all their sins are forgiven, and that heaven is guaranteed them when they die, have sold their souls to the devil, instead. For they are still living like the world, still living for the sinful pleasures of their flesh, and they are not living to please God with their lives. And when Jesus returns for his bride they will not be taken to be with the Lord for eternity, but they will spend eternity in the fires of hell because they wanted their sins more.

So, we all need to believe what the Scriptures teach as the gospel of our salvation and what it means to believe in Jesus and to be saved from our sins and to have heaven guaranteed us when we die. But we need to read the Scriptures in their correct biblical context, for lies abound these days via Scriptures taught deliberately out of context and made to say what they do not say if taught within the correct context. For, if we do not follow our Lord in obedience in this life, we will not be with him for eternity.

As the Deer

By Martin J. Nystrom
Based off Psalm 42:1

As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after You
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship You

You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship You
