Last summer, my classmate committed suicide. Ribs called me up the next day. When she told me, I was like "Matt who?" He was one of those people that you would not really expect that of.
I hadn't been friends with him since about fourth grade. But he seemed like a pretty nice guy. He usually had a smile on his face. Really, the only memory I have of seeing him is him with a wierd grin on his face and his hand on top of his forehead saying "What the F____??!" Apparently that was his favorite word.
His mom had died a few months prior, and his dad came to take him back to CO or something like that. For some reason, Matt was really close to his step dad, but didn't have much of a relationship with is biological father. So, when he was being forced to move, he hung himself.
They did a tribute to him in the yearbook this year. It was really sad. To see someone who was a dear friend to many of the people in our school die, especially by his own hands, is a terrible feeling.
