Then how are you so sure your 'direct contact' was from YHWH, verses a plethora of other plausible 'causes'?
You're there one here at the moment who seems to be working hard to maintain a claim that the passages don't all fit or all apply (but instead then must contradict), and to assert I'm rationalizing (your word). But actually I'm reading fully....
Who's the one rationalizing?
Where did you get "YHWH"?
*That's an answer contained in a question btw...
God, Yahweh, Jehovah, Supreme Being, Other...
Please answer my question now?
Then how are you so sure your 'direct contact' was from YHWH, verses a plethora of other plausible 'causes'?
I guess you are asking how do I know that the Bible is inspired, right?
I know, because it lines up with the entirety of my being, intellect, will, emotions, imagination, etc...
How do you not see that I already answered that.
The Bible is direct contact and that's where you got "YHWH" and your God concept.
What makes you believe the Bible is not inspired?

?????????????????????????
I trust we agree that humans wrote the Bible? Above and beyond this, is it [even possible] the Bible was [not] given by some external source? But instead, written by humans, and humans alone; just like every other book for which you reject as god's word?

You do know that He became human...right?
Matthew 25, v31-46 points out the truth in the passage quoted to you above from Ephesians chapter 2, verse 10, as you could read above. (Post #30) And need to.You further demonstrate to be quite the sidewinder. I already demonstrated contradiction. Reading it a 17th time, won't change the contradiction. You refuse to address or acknowledge accordingly. You just instead merely play the 'nuh-uh, that's what you are' game. Now here lies my fourth attempt in asking...
Does God consider you a 'sheep' or a 'goat'? Please explain why?
Newsflash/spoiler alert. A goat can also be a believer, repenter, worshipper... So if God provided moral pronouncements, but they are negated by faith in Christ as my savior, then please explain Matthew 25:31-46
You can get 'inward witness' of God that you a his son like the bible says, nobody can rob you things like that. After that, just experiences with the Spirit are as convincing as anything else convincing.
You can even get proof of the other 'side', when the devil sees you you discovered things of the spirit, he just directly attacks you, he doesn't need to hide then.
You can see the evidence this world can be under something obscure just by watching what humans do.
BUt the bible says this is all crazy stuff for the ones who didn't had the new birth. So. i don't know why i tell them to unbelievers.
Even some christians don't believe God can do stuff to us, but what father just let you live all your life without giving you a little reassurance from time to time.

I don't have any sufficient reason to believe any book was inspired by some external agent. Can you give me reason(s) to believe this?

I wonder if you might better notice that, hear it, if you take a more listening attitude.
Listening means to not think you already know all it says, but instead are trying to learn. It's humble. That's key.
I need reason and/or evidence to demonstrate He was anything more than a human...
Isn't it even possible for someone to write a book which looks to align with your likes and dislikes?
