Thanks. Actually, I previously had been involved in Hebrew Roots and Messianic Judaism through a variety of venues for a number of years. A lot of the reason I've backed off is because it got really "messy".

I understand, and I hope the benefits outweighed the "messy-ness".. Obviously you hung on to quite a bit of what you learned or you wouldn't want to continue to hang around us. Glad to have you aboard.

Welcome Mr. Beans. I, too, came to this forum looking for clarifications. I hope that you find them. It is always hard to see clarifications in the midst of arguments, but sometimes the gems pulled and presented speak to the heart and answer the serious disciple's inquiries. May you be blessed with the eyes to see, the ears to hear, and the heart who is after His own heart.

Welcome!! We have a variety of mess'ians as this faith is more of a spiritual journey than an established organization. Not saying we do not have those who have formed many well established organizations within the definition. Hope that you find the spiritual food your are seeking and that your journey brings you closer to Him. Feel free to ask but pray about it for your own guidance of Him in your spiritual life with Him.

Hello! I'm new to the forum. I've read and agree to the sop.

I was raised Christian but shuffled through a variety of denominations. About six months ago, I had been regularly attending a very nice laser lights and Starbucks mega church but was feeling empty and superficial. I decided on what I should have done long ago, put on my grown up pants and figure out exactly what my faith meant to me and what G-d meant for me. I'd attended a messianic synagogue once with a friend in my teens and remembered feeling overwhelmed with logic. Too bad I was not highly concerned with my beliefs and practices at the time. I wasn't able to find a congregation near me but started "attending" Beth Yeshua International via live-stream back in January. I may as well have been hit by a truck. Everything I felt was missing was here. I'm still learning and have a long way to go. My extended family thinks I lost my marbles. That's okay though. Just glad to be here and learn more! I'm a mom of 2 special needs kids and a nursing student.
