Hi, I'm 45 and when I go into Golden Corral restaurant to eat the cashier says do you want the senior discount. I don't even look old. Maybe a few gray hairs but that's all. ^_^

Ouch! I think anyone under 30 thinks anyone over 30 must be older than dirt. I have a 25 yr old co-worker who was talking about a guy she knew that was 'older'....turns out he's only 30!!!!!! aaaaaaaargh!!!

Once over the summer I was someplace with my dad and someone thought I was his wife. eeeeeeeeew!!!! The sad thing is that we look so much alike!!! Either I look older than my age or he looks younger....hmmmm..... Of course, he's only 19 years older than me.

I've noticed that too. When you're in your 20s (even 29), you're often considered too young to be taken seriously... but as soon as you hit 30, you're considered ancient history. There's something seriously messed up about that!

It's scary to think that in just 5 years, I will be thought of as being in the "later stages of life", at least according to this sub-forum's description.

lol I'd be excited too!!!

You know you're getting old when it seems that the majority of a conversation with your close friend is about what ails you.....

I know I getting old when things get better.
In my teens, I was really really stupid and made alot of stupid mistakes. In my twenties, I was totally totally messed up in the head, couldn't make a right decision if my life depended on it. In my thirties, I relaxed a little but still learning really basic life lessons. In my forties, I finally got it. Things started to make sense and I was more confortable with myself.
I never want to go back to the stupid years. Growing old is cool! and the bonus awaits. Eternity...........

dude, that's truly scary. I'm in my 40s and in the later stages of life? Uh oh.

Now this made me feel really old: I was sitting in class this past semester. The young woman (~25) was saying 'I have to get out of here, today's my mother's birthday. I haven't seen her all day and want to spend some time w/her.' I asked her how old her mother was (since I didn't ask her mother, I didn't feel like I was too rude). She said 40. I am older than the mother of one of my classmates! AARGH!

I feel old when I go to the doctor & he talks about my health as if I'm going downhill. All I hear is that I'll be 40 soon so I better get in better shape. It's easy for my doctor to say that because he's like a toothpick.

I'm not sure how I should have taken this situation: Last summer I went to a picnic at a family friend's house. My 14 y.o. niece was with us. The friends hadn't seen her in a few years. They thought she was my girlfriend. Too creepy.

I wonder if people will ever think my son is my boyfriend since I look so young. Ha ha.
