It has to do with where we are 'seeing'/perceiving from what the truth becomes to us...Why do you think Jesus said one thing to Peter and another to Judas? Jesus even called Judas "friend", knowing full well what Judas had already done...not a word of condemnation came from His mouth...
It has everything to do with perception...and losing our soul to find it IN HIM...Jesus knowing "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak"...
Some scripture to consider...
Matthew 16:22 Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. “Far be it from You, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to You!” 23 But Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me. For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men." 24 Then Jesus told His disciples, "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. 25 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man will come in His Father's glory with His angels, and then He will repay each one according to what he has done. 28 Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
John 13:27 After Judas took the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to Judas, "What you are about to do, do quickly."
Matthew 26:49 Going directly to Jesus, he said, “Greetings, Rabbi,” and kissed Him. 50 "Friend," Jesus replied, "do what you came for." Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus, and arrested Him. 51 At this, one of Jesus’ companions drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. 52 "Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him. "For all who draw the sword will die by the sword. 53 Are you not aware that I can call on My Father, and He will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
Matthew 26:33 Peter said to Him, "Even if all fall away on account of You, I never will."
Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray so that you will not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak."
Matthew 26:75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
If Jesus did not condemn Judas...who are you/we to do it? It has to do with a sword...and dying by it to LIVE...or a losing one's soul/life to find it (again)
I have not said one word in defense of Judas, though you heard it...
After Judas took the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to Judas, "What you are about to do, do quickly."
Be agreeing quickly with your accuser while you are on the way with him, lest ever the accuser deliver you to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you will be cast into prison.
not pondered this before but perhaps it was for Christs sake Judas acted quickly
