Ignorant dude question, but... doesn't the makeup run or look old or worn in the morning (or less than freshly applied), if that makes sense?

No, not ignorant, you're simply pointing our the obvious truth. :) Yes, it'll definitely look 'bleh' in the morning, but I still see why she would put it on the night before...she just wants to save time in the morning. But even so, I'd much save time on something else then have my face look grimy in the morning (and I especially wouldn't want to sleep in makeup all night).

Depending on the brand and whether or not you're a fan of makeup fixer it looks pretty acceptable, just a brief touch up and you're good to go. I've done it before without waking up looking 'bleh', at least not due to the make-up.

Doing makeup at night? Wow... I can understand facials and beauty treatments, but the full blown makeup, weird!

My roommates in college used to have a cat that peed on my door. On Thursdays they used to smoke weed at midnight (like clockwork). They would eat my meat that I put in the freezer, but when I put something in the fridge that I was going to eat later (like a half sandwich) I would come back less than 2 hours later and it would be gone! When they threw parties I had to lock my door because random guys would try to come in my room.

Then I let this girl come to stay with me at my house and she would eat my food, even though she got food stamps, pay only half the rent and would hit on my boyfriend. One time she came out in a towel and made a salacious comment (can't remember what) and then bent over in front of him. Later she took up basketball so she could join him at the court. She refused to move out when I told her to. When she finally moved out, I found blood all over my sheets. I won't go into that one, but you know what I mean...

I think I'm the only one without bad roommate/flatemate experiences. I do get along with most people though, so maybe there have been things that just didn't bother me.

To flip this around a bit, my best housemate experience was in Washington. I moved into a 5 bedroom house with 2 guys. The guys lived upstairs, I lived in the room downstairs. J was the owner, T was the second housemate. We all worked M-F 8-5 jobs and T was gone on the weekends. J went on vacation a lot so I had the house to myself for the most part. They were the cleanest guys I'd ever met.

I had 5 roommates in Bible college. One girl was kinda weird but she ended up getting her parents to make the school move her to another room so then it was just the five of us and we were all close friends.

This fall, if I do end up at choice #1, I will have 6 flatmates, one of them being a roommate (bunk room). UK people seem pretty legit so I'm sure it won't be a problem. I'm actually looking forward to it.

LOL!!! I know, right? In the past I've been somewhat of a pushover, but I guess I had to go through it so that I could work out my flaws.
This board is a type of group therapy, :groupray:
LOL!

Mine's not really bad; just weird and annoying.

My first semester of college, I had a roommate who was there on a basketball scholarship. He really didn't care about anything but basketball. He got good grades only so he could continue playing basketball. He only owned ONE movie - Hoosiers, with Gene Hackman - and he watched it at least once a week. Never watched any television except for basketball, never played any video games except for NBA. Went to bed at 8 every night there wasn't a game or late practice and woke up at 4 every morning no matter what so that he could get in an hour of practice BEFORE the team started practicing.

Okay, I respect devotion. But besides the fact that I think sports are a poor thing on which to fix one's devotion, there's still a difference between devotion and obsession. Even professional athletes have social lives and marriages and actually CARE about something other than the game they get paid to play.

I couldn't give a crap less about basketball, so since the only thing he would talk about was basketball, we almost never talked, and never once did anything together. We may have exchanged a grand total of a couple hundred sentences over the whole semester, and most of that was him complaining about me being up after 8:00 PM. We got different roommates the next semester.

In my junior year of college I shared an on-campus apartment with a few guys. One was a good friend from work and the other was a solid Christian guy. Unfortunately, our forth was a drunken slob who constantly held parties, smoked, and left the place as a total dump. The school never would take action against him and eventually we just learned to deal with it. It wasn't a pleasant experience and waking up in the morning to find random strangers passed out on your couch is unsettling, to say the least.

I think that's one reason why I'm so opposed to parties and heavy drinking. I've seen the damage and chaos it causes. Thankfully, I got a new dorm room completely to myself for my senior year. That was SWEET! :D

Technically nothing to report here. My high school and uni roommates where all great friends that I shared the same classes and beliefs with.
I do get some visitors at my house that are a bit high maintenance. There is one who when he comes monopolizes the remote and I have to cook for him every day after coming from work even if he spends the whole day at home.

^^

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.
