Worship Idols, Ignore Truth

God is like a placid lake within all of us. Every thought, judgement
and thing we do is like throwing a rock into the lake and distorting it.
We are throwing piles of rocks in each moment.

God is reality, all that is and ever will be. The distortion to
reality is only temporary just like throwing a rock into a lake, it will
return to its placid state as soon as you stop throwing rocks.
The peace of God is so great that, by comparison, all you've ever known
even the best moment of your life was a hellish nightmare. This peace
is all anyone really wants, its the only thing that will bring about
true satisfaction. If you knew what it was you would turn down 100 billion
dollars to have it.

The love God is simple, it's simplicity is what makes it difficult to
percieve. We want us, our OWN thing, God's love can never be yours. You
belong to it, it does not belong to you.

Churches and the worship of God is meaningless, it is like you are praying
to and worshiping the act of breathing. Somthing that doesnt do anything
but rather just is.

Anyone can perform miracles, they are nothing special, only what occurs when
the lake is placid. Jesus was nothing special, he simply chose not to
throw rocks and I'm sure there are now many like him who have ascended.
You never see or hear of them because what is there to teach? Do you
need a lesson on breathing?

The only way to approach God successfully is with empty hands.

My dear brothers and sisters, how can you claim that you have faith in our gorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people more than others?

For instance, suppose somone comes into your meeting dressed in fancy clothes and expensive jewelry, and another comes in who is poor and dressed in shabby clothes. If you give special attention and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one, "You can stand over there, or else sit on the floor" -well, doesn't this discrimination show that you are guided by the wrong motives?

James 2:1-4

Would Jesus claim to be exempt from this?

I have that. What do you have?

'Elijah went before the people and said, How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him. But the people said nothing. [1 Kings 18:21]'

I have an understanding of the truth which your book logically verifys. Is having pride about religion what this book teaches? Wearing a cross, does that not give you a sense of pride?

Why believe in this 'God-man' and not believe that he tried to teach somthing more than what you think you know? And if you do believe that then why not try to learn?

'What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? [James 2:14]'

What has happened is humans have been teaching humans religion for thousands of years now. Without any real leadership, that is, leadership with real understanding. You've made it OK to sin and still have faith. How could there be truth to a religion whose every member is a sinner and believes it is acceptable?

We don't believe sin is 'acceptable', but that the Truth is Truth regardless of our own human actions. There is Truth, despite of the imperfectness of man. God is perfect, not man. There is redemption. There is salvation. We don't change our beliefs to fit our actions or desires.

Interesting quote to pull from 1 Kings. Perhaps one might brush up on the story.

"And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God." 1 Kings 18:39

all I can tell you is you need to be getting saved while God is giving you life and breath to do so because this preacher is here to tell you that He doesnt promise you another day and hell is full of those who trusted in one..so what you need to do friend is wake up, believe God's Word,obey it and be saved ...Heaven is forever
and so is the lake of fire
