A core part of our religion is belief in an afterlife. We think of heaven or of a paradise world of some sort, houses, lakes, river, wonderful animals, trees grass, fruit, fields; all the things that are so lovely about our lives here on earth. But the scriptures are not too specific about it all. There's a new Jerusalem, the City of God, and there's lions laying down in peace with lambs, and other hints but not much that is specific. And one thing we take as a given is everlasting life. If this world is 4.5 billions of years old and this universe is 13.8 billions of years old, they are mere youngsters compared to what we will become. The mountains will erode away in a blink of the eye compared to eternity. What will it be like to be so old that we outlive a red dwarf star and black holes? Have you wondered if you'll like it?
