Biblically, isn't satan already a defeated enemy?Biblically arent our words supposed to build up?
Biblically, isn't satan already a defeated enemy? Biblically didn't Jesus tell us the gates of hell will not prevail against His church? Biblically didn't God already tell us how to deal with sin in the church?
Why is satan already a defeated enemy? Why do we armour?
Why do we need the gift of discernment?
Why is satan already a defeated enemy?
Why won't the gates of hell prevail against His church?
Why did God tell us how to deal with sin in the church?
What does Job 1:12 tell us?Satan is defeated..doesnt mean he wont attack. He is waiting to devour.
What is God telling us in Hebrews 2:14?Prevailing requires an initial challenge. That is why we are told to endour to the end.
What does 1 Corinthians 5 say to do?Exactly, we are told how to deal with sin. On that note...how do we apply it.
Please list ur understanding how we are to deal with active sin.
Job...was attacked initially. God did not prevent the attack but Job and Jahovah prevailed in the end. Doesnt mean their isnt a fight. Prevailing requires an initial challenge. What does Job 1:12 tell us?

What else does Job 1:12 tell us?Job...was attacked initially. God did not prevent the attack but Job and Jahovah prevailed in the end. Doesnt mean their isnt a fight. Prevailing requires an initial challenge.
Job 1:12
1:12 [ Hebrew Font Size: LXX | LORD said (8799) unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth(8799) thine hand. So Satan went forth (8799) from the presence of the LORD.
Yes he went forth to steal kill and destroy his family, livelyhood and much more. Look at the entire story of Job.
Dig deeper.Heb 2:14
Yes He destroyed the power of death. We are not subject separation. What does that have to do with a battle?
How does God want us to apply His word?1 cor 5...
That is what i was refering to.
How would you apply this chapter?
What about 1 Tim 5: 19 - 25?
How would you apply this chapter?
What else does Job 1:12 tell us?Dig deeper. How does God want us to apply His word?
What else does Job 1:12 tell us? This is important.I told u already about job. Read the entire story as well.
I already have.Just tell me what you want me to know. Since u believe u already have the answer.
I would apply them as God instructs.Again, how would you personally apply these verses to th OP? And the proceeding questions.
Why do we armour?
Why do we need the gift of discernment?
What about the church allowing those who are actively in the sin of homosexuality to be clergymen? Isnt that an attack?
People may "practice" witchcraft but there no reality to it.
Are you absolutely sure...it was practice in the OT and New.
You know, discernment is my strongest gift. Very, very seldom in my day-to-day life as a priest does it turn to things like identifying evil spirits.
What it does do is allow me to see the hidden dynamics of what's going on; to connect the dots between people's bad behaviour and why they're behaving that way; to recognise what God's up to in a situation earlier than I otherwise might. And to shape my own response accordingly.
As for why we armour... it's my experience that any time we try to cooperate with God we face hostility and anger as we challenge people to change. Better believe we need all the armour we can get to weather those storms!
Not necessarily, and I suggest that's a bit of a red herring from your main concern here.
There was reality when Paul cast out the spirit of divination. If those same demons are around today, what is stopping them?Yes, it was practiced. What is your point?
Imo it sounds like you are saying to detect the physical side of a person's actions rsther than the supernature fight which is not against blood?
Imo you are saying the armour is there to deal with physical ramification?
I'm saying that most things don't come down to demonic activity. Grief, trauma, human woundedness and brokenness, account for most of where I find my discernment active. And then with that insight I'm able to better lead, teach and care for people.
I'm not sure that "physical" is the word I'd go for. If you're burnt out and depressed because everything becomes a source of conflict in your ministry, is that physical?
