Totally fantasy......
You try hard to not learn anything new, don't you.

Alcohol consumption is the third leading risk factor for disease and mortality in Europe and is a cause of cancers of the oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, oesophagus, liver, colon, rectum and female breast, even for low and moderate alcohol intakes. It is estimated that 10% (confidence interval (CI): 7–13%) of all cancer cases in men and 3% (CI: 1–5%) of all cancer cases in women are attributable to alcohol consumption. The risk of cancer increases in a dosedependent manner involving several biological mechanisms where ethanol and its genotoxic metabolite, acetaldehyde, play a major role.

Jesus drank wine....
How much and how many times in His life? What kind of wine? How strong? You have no idea. So let us please stop using this as some kind of recommendation for regular drinking today, in our society. We are in no perfect health position to recommend another poison into our life already full of poisons.

Wine is extremely good for u, in moderation...that is a fact...

In ancient times, wine was 'the' drink as opposed to water, which, could be dangerous.....

Jesus indeed drank wine.........

Eh, you just turned the conversation into trolling. You have been given facts and sources and your response is just "no" to that. No point in continuing.

No, moderation is not OK, this is old "wisdom" proven false. Every drop of alcohol is carcinogenic, it attacks your mitochondria etc.
Well? If someone chooses to drink wine or other alcoholic beverages without harming others (driving while drunk, harassment etc), then that’s their decision.

Instead of opinions, let us use some facts:

The risk of developing cancer increases substantially the more alcohol is consumed. However, latest available data indicate that half of all alcohol-attributable cancers in the WHO European Region are caused by “light” and “moderate” alcohol consumption – less than 1.5 litres of wine or less than 3.5 litres of beer or less than 450 millilitres of spirits per week.

That is not "light" nor "moderate" to me.

Have they done studies for 1/4 cup of beer per week? That's my average per week or even less. I only use beer to flavor my milk shakes (plus other ingredients) though not always.

I have 1 x one liter bottle of beer sitting in my fridge for couple months now and there's still about a cup of it remaining.

Lately, while trying to duplicate the taste of "Pocari Sweat" electrolyte drink with some success with powdered citric acid, I ended up adding powdered citric acid to my milk shakes and found myself no longer wanting to add beer into my milk shakes. The citric acid made my milk shakes taste like vanilla flavored yoghurt.

I guess since yoghurt tastes a bit like beer and also contains some alcohol, making my milk shakes artificially taste a bit like yoghurt or beer with citric acid, made me stop adding beer to it.

I do not know. But the mechanism of how alcohol acts in a body is still the same, no matter the amount. But if you are otherwise healthy, your body can deal with a small dose damage better, for example destroying the cancerous cells while they are still few so they do not grow into a tumor.

But nobody knows where is the line and what is the proverbial "last drop" before the cup is full. Somebody can drink and smoke and live to 90, but most people can't.

Below is a study of one of the longest lived demography in the world and since they are on diets that is more or less resembling the Mediterranean diet, alcohol consumption is part of their meals or diet.

Look at Table 2 for their alcohol consumption. I have recently quit alcohol so I'm not trying to promote alcohol. The study below is not about alcohol consumption and neither promoting it nor trying to associate alcohol with longevity but they've included data about alcohol consumption. It's up to the reader to interpret. Plain interpretation seems to suggest that moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages have only marginal or even negligible impact on longevity.

Although I'm not permanently avoiding alcohol and I still consume alcohol when I have trouble finding sleep which is rarer these days and I found a non-alcoholic alternative to adding flavor to my beverages that's why I haven't consumed a drop of alcoholic beverage in weeks but I could still take on a bottle beer if someone invites me to drink with them.

These are averages and for whole populations living otherwise healthily, on sunlight, slow-burn stress-free life.

Body can deal with some cancerous cells, that is why not everybody will get cancer in their life time. But about 50% of people do.

In other words, healthy and happy people can deal with poisons better than others. But alcohol is still a poison. It is neither healthy nor "neutral".

I think it's autophagy that destroys cancer cells in the very early stages and any damaged cells caused by toxins. This requires both good vascularization and reactive oxygen species where the best source is simply having a physically active lifestyle like those in the study.

I also think the BMR (basal metabolic rate) is inaccurate and does not account for the body's adaptive abilities. So I think even healthy people are still consuming excess calories that may be detrimental to long term health like risk of cancer even if they are able to keep their weight within a healthy range. Same thing with excess consumption of fluids, including water. Nature/biology it seems isn't forgiving when it comes to waste or ultimately, inefficiency in terms of energy/matter intake vs energy output. The health standards we follow still falls short.

Some spices, teas, fermented foods and similar show anti-cancer properties, so people can lower the risk of one thing with another thing.

Also, good sleep is very needed. Interestingly, one would need a good sleep to deal with alcohol, but alcohol hinders the good regenerative sleep, so it is a two-fold attack on the body.

Ironically, fermented foods have a bit of alcohol in it. Not as much as beer but still there.

I do midday sleep like the one in the study. Actually I'm trying to avoid midday sleep to improve productivity but protein in my meals makes me very sleepy after meals. It's also genetic in our family. My father's side with members reaching >90 years of age despite poverty and no access to modern healthcare, have a propensity for midday sleeping including my father. Sometimes I envy people who only needs 6 hrs of sleep each day without any negative symptoms. Very few people don't even sleep at all like literally. Crazy world we live in.

I think it depends on the kind of the fermentation. For example, some cheeses can have like 2% of alcohol, yogurt has 0% etc.

Yeah, midday siestas seem to be common in healthy countries.
