You failed to answer my question. How do you feel about Odin? Do you consider your views to be religious or philosophical?
The Norse God Odin and Thor too, definently are religious in nature. An old religion to be sure but none the less a religion.
Obedient. So is your (presumed) disbelief in Odin a "religious" stance or a "philosophical" stance?
I never do, and I'm not about to start now.You didn't answer the question.
*sigh*I never do, and I'm not about to start now.
So is your (presumed) disbelief in Odin a "religious" stance or a "philosophical" stance?
Obedient:So, do you believe Odin exists at all? And do you consider your stance on that question to be philosophical or religious?
I'm not sure if global warming exists or not, but Al Gore seems to think it does. He's probably right though, cause it would fit in with the bible. The rapture is coming. We shouldn't worry tho because Jesus is going to take all the believers to heaven. Why can't science understand this? It don't matter if the planet dies because there will be noone left on it!
I never do, and I'm not about to start now.
And what kinds of questions would you ask?I expect them to dance around every term like a lawyer parsing terms in a legal battle.
Answer: the vast majority.Global warming is real; The question is how much is due to human activities!
These days, so is claiming that the vast majority of the current warming is not due to human activity.Denying Climate change is tantamount to believing the Earth to be flat!
There are plenty of people, like the original poster, who think that it's all a waste of effort because Jesus is going to swoop down in the near future and take them away to a better place. The point of the cartoon is that whether one accepts anthropogenic climate change as scientific fact or not, there are plenty of good reasons to act as though it were anyway.
And to such people I would remind them that no matter how sure they are that the Endtimes will occur in their lifetime, people have been similarly convinced for, well, the bulk of recorded history. As such, even if it is just the merest possibility that they are mistaken, perhaps they owe it to their children and generations born in the interim, between now and Christ's return, to leave the planet in a habitable condition? There are plenty of people, like the original poster, who think that it's all a waste of effort because Jesus is going to swoop down in the near future and take them away to a better place.
