  • The stance of the Arabs and Muslims is yet another indication of their disillusionment with the Palestinians in general and Iran's proxies -- Hamas, Hizballah and the Houthis -- in particular.
  • Countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt and Jordan are as opposed to Hamas as they are to Israel. Hamas is another branch of the Muslim Brotherhood organization, which has long posed a threat to their national security.
  • In 2017, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain cut ties with Qatar after accusing it of providing support for Islamist terrorists, including Hamas and the Taliban, as well as Iran.
  • Now that their eyes have been once again forced open, the Palestinians should distance themselves from Hamas and other terrorist groups and join forces with those Arabs and Muslims who recognize that to create a better future for their people, it would benefit them immeasurably to recognize the legitimacy of the State of Israel.

The Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group and its supporters are once again disappointedthat the Arab countries did not come to the rescue of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip during the current war which erupted after the October 7 Hamas massacre of Israelis. At least 1,200 Israelis were murdered and more than 4,500 wounded in the massacre. Another 240 Israelis, including toddlers, children, women and the elderly were kidnapped to the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.

This is not the first time that the Palestinians have voiced disappointment with their Arab brothers. In all previous rounds of fighting between Israel and Hamas, the Palestinians have claimed that the Arab and Islamic states were not doing enough to help them. In fact, Palestinians have over the past few decades accused the Arabs of "betraying" them by signing normalization agreements with Israel and refusing to provide them with financial aid. The Palestinians receive lip service from the Arabs and Muslims, but that is all.

I think that most of the Muslims that have enjoyed great wealth realize that all that fighting is really pointless and have moved away from such a warring mentality. Bahrain for example is far more sensible than most. Though Islam is basically a prison sentence for women.

Makes me wonder if it is a Shiite or Sunni thing that separates them.
Genetically Arabs get riled up very easily. Of course the higher their education the less this is apparent. But you can easily see the wild eyed, crazed looks of the young men in Arab demonstrations in their countries against Israel to see what I'm talking about. You almost never seen people in such a frenzy in other nations. Much of this is Islamic indoctrination of course. But in non Arab countries you just don't see this kind of uncontrolled rage. Wasn't Ishmael described in the Bible as a someone who would be a wild man? Genesis 16:12 "And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him;......". If that doesn't describe Arabs I don't know what does. They cause more wars and strife by far than anybody else. They kill their own as well. 370,000 Yemenis dies in a recent conflict. It kind of makes Gaza a drop in the bucket. And those 370,000 were killed by fellow Muslim Arabs. Yet we see no UN people aghast. No demonstrations. No nothing. But when Israel defends itself (and yes the rockets are still being fired at Israel and it's almost Christmas) they're committing genocide. The absurdity of the situation is beyond belief.

Another thing that wealth in the middle east often brings is education in the UK or other parts of Europe where they see the peace these countries live in and the legal rights and the overall fairness of life there. For many this is a wakeup call and shows them how misguided their leaders have been in leading them in the wrong direction, a direction without much of a future (when the oil runs out or the demand for oil withers). They are counting on foreign tourism but will people really be wanting to visit a country where they could be locked up for minor transgressions? A lot of people would pass on that. Dubai, the most successful of these projects is still running a deficit. It seems that the people in charge there are so used to enormous wealth they've never had to worry about such trivialities as budgets, labor constraints or government guidelines. They've always solved problems by throwing money at them. Doesn't work in real life with real budget limits.
