Why would it be genocide? I feel like that word is being thrown around a bit too loosely these days.
nobody is trying to wipe out any "group"
“We are imposing a complete siege on the city of Gaza. There will be no electricity, no food, no water, no fuel, everything is closed. We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly.” (Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, October 9, 2023)

“Erase Gaza. Nothing else will satisfy us. It is not acceptable that we have a terrorist authority next to Israel. Do not leave a child there. Expel all the remaining ones at the end, so that they will not have a resurrection.” (Deputy Speaker of the Knesset Nissim Vaturi MK October 9, 2023)

“Hamas became ISIS and the citizens of Gaza are celebrating instead of being horrified. Human beasts are dealt with accordingly. Israel has imposed a total blockade on Gaza: no electricity, no water, just damage. You wanted hell—you will get hell.” (Coordinator of Government in the Territories Major General Ghassan Alian, “speaking to Hamas and the residents of Gaza”, October 10, 2023)

“Israel has no choice but to render Gaza into a place that is temporarily, or permanently, unfit for living.” (Advisor to Defence Minister Gallant, former Head of the National Security Council and former IDF operations chief Giora Eiland, October 11, 2023)

“‘Remember what Amalek did to you’ … This is a war between the sons of light and the sons of darkness” (Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, November 3, 2023)

“The Gaza Strip should be flattened, and there should be one sentence for everyone there—death. We have to wipe the Gaza Strip off the map. There are no innocents there.” (Yitzhak Kroizer MK November 5, 2023)

"All the civilian population in Gaza is ordered to leave immediately. We will win. They will not receive a drop of water or a single battery until they leave the world.” (Minister of Foreign Affairs Israel Katz)

"The State of Israel will no longer be able to put up with the existence of an independent entity in Gaza.” (Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, November 14, 2023)

Except nobody is trying to wipe out any "group" but rather, an attitude or behavior. Stop killing Jews! That's all we're trying to do here.

...But I get it, trying to stop Palestinian terrorism is "genocide" to the left, just like securing the southern border is automatically "racism". Anyone who loves their country is a "nationalist".

Pretty soon, nobody is going to care about these labels, if we keep misusing them. Then what?
If you try to "stop terrorism" by wiping out a population, that is properly labeled as "genocide" by the left, the right and the center.

Indeed, it would be.

And if Jesus does actually matter, then why are so many Christian so willing to abandon Him at the drop of a hat, the moment it means it might actually cost you something?

And if Jesus does actually matter, then why are so many Christian so willing to abandon Him at the drop of a hat, the moment it means it might actually cost you something?
No one said anything about abandoning Christ.

Romans, 13:1
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. ...

God's relationship with governments is different than His dealings with the individual. God institutes government.

The Government of Israel has not only the right to defend against foreign invaders, it has the obligation. This holier than you attitude is misguided.

When the people of a nation acquiesce to a governments leading/misleading it is a de facto agreement. While some citizens of Palestine may not chose leadership by Hamas their silence unfortunately makes them culpable for the actions of Hamas whose stated goal is to remove Israel from existence.

If your deity puts all governments into place that would include Hamas in Gaza.

And are the people of Israel and the USA culpable for the devastation wreaked on the Palestinians?

If a nation institutes a plainly unjust law are Christians called to petition the government for the redress of grievances or just suffer with it?

Do as Peter did
"Who should we obey, You or God?"
They paid the price for their Disobedience.

Yes, and I don't presume to know His mind on some governments. Sometimes it may be as punishment for rejecting His Voice. Or perhaps not punishment, simply a removal of protection from the deaf and blind children of darkness.

I do not suggest that God agrees philosophically with the Governments he places in authority they may however serve a purpose. Kinda like Balaam's ass in Numbers 22:21.

There are nations that are tribal and have been fighting each other for centuries, we foolishly have been involved in their wars. In some countries it may take strongmen that we see as 'undemocratic' to maintain order. Our form of government is not for everyone.

This war of Israels is the fault of Hamas. Don't poke the lion and whine when you are bitten. It is disheartening to see the children who pay the price for the stupidity of the 'adults.' That changes nothing though. If Hamas wanted this suffering to end as they profess, they would apologize and remove their sorry butts from any form of government that calls for the extinction of the country of Israel. This continuation of war is on them. Instead they hide under the skirts of women they pretend to care for. In hospitals like little sissies and lie to those in the west foolish enough to buy their rhetoric. Muslim countries around them pay lip service to their self inflicted plight, yet none want them in their country. They are trouble, pertinaciously recalcitrant, the leaders most be removed.

I checked the founding document of my government and it is pretty clear about who instituted the government, and it ain't any god.

So violating Romans 13 is “okay” if one is obeying God rather than the Government that God caused to be in place?

Scripture says we should obey those in authority. It does not say mans authority supercedes Gods. If men believe a law of men is in conflict with righteousness they are to follow conscience. There may be repercussions.
