The man in the second panel is hold the Book of Truth.

Facts should continue to be reinterpreted until they reach Truth, then facts become the Truth.

Remember Jesus' excellent lesson, using geology?

So, which one of you "truth holders" do we listen to? You with "Embedded Age," dad with "Split/Merge" dadology. or Doveaman with his "Creation Renewal?" I say, none of you has "The Truth," regardless of how many bibles you're reading from.

Imagine how many are out there with their fantasy of pure "truth' each with a different "truth", each sealed in his mind against any chance of doubt.

I think you guys should call it: "New Jer*USA*lem." ;)[/quote

Whatever it was called at first, it wouldnt last any better than the Austrailan natives lasted when the Europeans showed up with... gasp... science and technology.

I read about the sad and pitiful attempts the native Americans made, using their religion and magic to save themselves from the Europeans.

the creo colony wouldnt fare any better faced with the aggressive and culturally advanced outside world.

Yeah, the whole "Ghost Dancers" incident ended so tragically.

That's why we shouldn't teach about the existence of the moon because there are multiple theories about the moon's origin. The discussions on how the Great Pyramid was built must really put the intelligent design of same in great jeopardy. Don't you guys get tired from all that running? Or do you forget that it is the blatantly obvious you deny?

Well its sad and awful to read about but there really is an important lesson in it for the culturally backward, they will get fun over.

Like in the photo of the oklahoma land rush. end of the "Indian territory"

I feel like Paul Revere sometimes, with nobody paying any attention at all.

Seriously seriously there world is teeming with smart ambitious people who want what we have and they will take it away from us just like that if we dont get smart fast.

And then you get these trailer parkers who want to go back to the bronze age!! That is going to work out about like Indians who hope to get the prairie full of buffalo again and no palefaces. In this case I guess the 'parkers think they will get deus ex machina to rescue them.

The more of them there are and the more influence they have the more they put all of us at risk.

It's sad that people will cling to erroneous theories in the face of all good evidence until death. as if they're throwing away what God truly gave them. They will forever side with what is obviously wrong merely to justify the dogma that they misunderstood in the first place. Creationism is merely the latest in the long line of debunked foolishness. There are people who still believe the Earth is flat. What a waste!

The saddest part of all is that AV has way too much time invested in creationism to change his mind now,
he will fight all comers no matter what they say because he knows he's stuck with creationism until he dies.

So you saw in the link that scientists have an obligation to uphold materialistic concepts and your best method to neutralize that is to attempt to project? Very peculiar behavior.

Intellectually, he is already dead. He has smothered his mind in an ancient book that contains all he will ever know about God, and most of it is wrong. With a universe fourteen and a half light years in radius and growing he has sequestered himself on a disk covered with a blue dome, floating on the ocean.

He didn't just throw out the baby with the bathwater, he threw out the baby and kept the bathwater.

:sigh:

that's round not spherical

600px-Flat_Earth.png

Modern hypotheses supporting a flat Earth originated with English inventor Samuel Rowbotham (1816–1884). Based on his incorrect interpretation of experiments on the Bedford Level, Rowbotham published a 16-page pamphlet, called "Zetetic Astronomy", which he later expanded into a 430-page book, Earth Not a Globe, expounding his views. According to Rowbotham's system, the earth is a flat disc centered at the North Pole and bounded along its southern edge by a wall of ice (Antarctica), with the sun and moon 3000 miles (4800 km) and the "cosmos" 3100 miles (5000 km) above earth.[7] He also published a leaflet entitled "The inconsistency of Modern Astronomy and its Opposition to the Scriptures!!" which argued that the Bible supported the idea that the earth was flat and immovable and these man-made stories should not be set aside for a system based purely on human conjecture and the scientific method
sound familiar?

So switch it over.

And there are people who say that the bible supports Darwinism. What's the problem? As far as the flat earth goes Who invented the flat earth?
You have to decide whether to believe the Bible or science on this one. If you go for the Bible then you are wilfully disregarding applied and proven scientific knowledge.
