Why Jehovah? Why not Allah or Krishna?
Which God is the right one? Which religion to join? Which religious doctrine to practice?

Actually, the Old Testament hints at the Trinity:MasterFollower said:Well if you look at the Jewish God he is more like the God of Islam then Christianity. And no I don't believe Jews and Christians worship the same God
Christian God Jesus part of three Gods in One came as a man
Jewish God Yahwah one God not three in one did not come as man and never will.

This is just my view![]()
Religion destroys men, it is Christ that gives life. Don't worry about denomination or religion, just seek Christ.
Who is Jesus Christ though? A question asked by seekers of truth for century upon century. A man who lived a life of love and generosity and humility, and yet whose name has been used in acts of hate and condemnation. The answer to this question, however, is as simple and yet as beautiful as the rising sun. The answer is that Jesus is love.
Many people in the world try to restrict Jesus to a church building, or a denomination or even a religion, but how can they do this when the song of love he is singing to the world can be heard in the very sound of the wind? Jesus can no more easily be boxed by religions and systems of man than the morning breeze can be trapped in a jar. As Jesus says of those who are born in His Spirit: “The wind blows where it wills, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know from where it comes or where it goes. So is it with all those who are born of the Spirit (John 3:8).”
God is trying to show you. He is trying to tell you the truth. He promises that if you seek then you will find, because He is already speaking to you. You have freewill and you, LIKE EVERYONE ON THE PLANET, have turned their back to Him.
All you have to do, is turn back around to find Him. How that looks in your life, I don't know, because it looks different in everyone's life, but if you are seeking the truth, and not just religion, I promise you will find God because He promises that. I'll pray for you.
He has already done so by sending Jesus to the Earth, His one and only begotten Son to save us.
John 15:24
If I had not done among them what no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen these miracles...
John 4:16 Jesus states "I am the way to the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through Me" Jesus is part of God, His son, and was given as a gift by the Almighty to his people of earth so they may be with Him in Heaven. We are his creation, and wouldn't only a loving God give his people a second chance.
The God of Islam is different in character from the God of the Bible. He is far less personal, less merciful, and less trustoworthy. He does not promise salvation to his believers as our God does. Those who believe are absolutely saved - you don't have to jihad, and you're not waiting in suspense. Our God has promised us salvation if we believe. And He was willing to come down to earth and get His hands dirty to obtain that salvation from us.
...
Islam can't give you that, and I'm glad my God is good enough to give us all that.
Sorry, but this is pretty funny. Allah is literally just the Arabic word for God. If you read the Christian Bible translated into Arabic language, Allah is in there all over the place.
Actually, this isn't as true as it's meant to sound. Allah is a false god...not the God of the bible.
LittleLion said:Your logic works because you accept the Bible to be true by default. Why do you accept the Bible to be true? Because it speaks of God? And where have you learned about God? In the Bible, or Bible-related sources?
