There is at least one problem with this claim. The "legal argument" was rejected by just about every constitutional scholar.

So it should have been fine if he had posted:

“On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all the electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all . . ." If he had used an ellipsis to show that he had edited off meaningless verbage it would have been accurate.

I cannot find any stories about a Democrat apology as of yet. The one "news" source quoted was an extreme right wing source that has mixed reliability. One step above "Low". I have my doubts about any Democratic apology since the Republicans are nit picking when it comes to their complaint. It does not save them at all when a bogus legal argument is left off of an image.

All very right wing except for one and the lone exception was an opinion piece written by Mike Huckabee, so there goes away any possibility of claiming an unbiased reporting of this issue. Most of the U.S. major news networks are far left so it should be no surprise you struggle to locate the story. It's like the Americans and green card holders and families of American servicemen Joe abandoned in Afghanistan, or Joe's mental condition--just because left wing reporters don't want to report the news doesn't mean it's not happening. The Federalist broke the story four days ago!

The apology covered, in different words, the doctoring I explained except for the deletion of the legal explanation. No one cares about a missing period, do you honestly think a Democratic controlled committee would issue an apology if that's really what it was about? What they left out was the truncation of the legal explanation, the manipulation made it look like Jordan was instructing Pence to not recognize votes he didn't like-- a total misrepresentation, tampering with evidence--attorneys know better.

[He's not lying. Nothing was misrepresented. Jim Jordan still supports the insurrectionists and tried to protect them.

Folks wonder if democracy is being eroded in America. Well, republican supporters are willing to give insurrectionists a pass if someone quotes them by negating punctuation so, no, I don't think that is a good sign for American democracy. It was the information that was deleted from the supposed screen shot that changed the meaning, you have the free will to choose whether to be honest or pretend it didn't happen. Certainly disbarment and heavy sanctions are warranted against Schiff. It wasn't the committee, it was Schiff. He's an attorney who doctored evidence in order to make it look like the text was authored by Jordan and that Pence was simply told not to count votes he didn't like instead of those that may have been un-Constitutional. If the Democrats fail to take action against Schiff I think more people will realize just what a sham investigation it is. We have Americans abandoned in Afghanistan, out of control inflation, cartels increasing sex trafficking and drugs through the border, rampant crime, and all these people want to do is attack those who dare to disagree with their radical agenda.
