Muslims don't believe Christ is God. Christians do. There's the answer.
What's your problem? You have nothing to add but the same old Charlie act. If you don't like it don't participate.Ok, then, we have THAT figured out.
I have often wondered what Muslims think about what we have in the CCC referring to them.Muslims don't believe Christ is God. Christians do. There's the answer.
Probably nothing. Why would anyone outside of the RCC take into account what the CCC says about them one way or another? Islam isn't looking for brotherhood or equality with Christianity of any kind anyway, so it wouldn't surprise me if all the nice words in the world fall upon deaf ears when compared to with the instructions of the Qur'an, Hadith, Sira, etc. regarding how to treat those of other religions.

What did I do ?
I'm agreeing with you guys - Muslims aren't Christian because they don't view Jesus as God.
..and they'd tell you that.
....and it's rather obvious.
Suddenly I'm the bad guy here ?
I wonder why it seems like the ones who say that Muslims worship the same God as us don't seem to care what Muslims think about Christians saying that about them.I have often wondered what Muslims think about what we have in the CCC referring to them.

It seems like Muslims are rarely there in the discussion when Christians say that Muslims worship the same God as us.Our faith does not call for revenge on infidels? I don't know but it is the only thing I could come up with.

If I'm wrong then someone correct me, but I don't think there were any representatives from Islam present when the Second Vatican Council decided to say that about what Muslims believe.Because they don't believe it and I think they are right on that one.
Your sarcasm just really gets under my skin. Especily when I think of you as interesting when you actually communicate without the snark. Without it, you are a great poster. And it is soooo old! Just really ticks me off.
Well, I understand.
And to be honest you've got a more than valid point.
But, if you allow me, I wouldn't be half so irritating if about 3 posters on this forum were kept on as short a leash as you'd keep me.
It's just the way they put things sometimes.....
We should all work it for sure. I guess I just feel cheated when you post like that because I know you can be an awesome poster. Even when I disagree. We all need to do better. Myself included.
Well, Mich, I'm getting old, I'm not the hard guy I used to be but I am getting petulant.
I need to increase my alcohol intake.
Beyond that, tbh I don't get the flap over whether Islam is "Christian heresy" or not. Unless you're doing a case study on the word "heresy," it seems rather pedantic to me.

Actually, Islam was spread by the sword and by promises of wealth and sexual pleasures (72 virgins) to those who would join Muhammad's religion. That combined with how the new religion retained a lot of elements of the pagan religion of the region made it appealing to pagans. For example, the Hajj pilgrimages to Mecca had been a pagan tradition that predates Islam, and Islam preserves the Arabian mythology of the jinn (or genie). But there is nothing in Islam that appeals to Christians since it demands that we renounce our core beliefs. That's why Christians were killed by the sword. The ones who weren't killed had to live under subjugation and pay a "jizya" (tax). According to Islamic history, Muhammad himself fought in nine engagements.it also helps explain how Islam spread so quickly through Christian North Africa
