Now I just have one small, nagging question. Why is that wrong? Why is it wrong for two women or two men to love eachother?
The real question being asked here is "What is wrong with homosexuality?"
The real answer, stripped of all the BS, is another question, "What relevence does this have to anyone?"
If you are not gay, the answer is "none whatsoever."
The truth is that homosexuality is neither a far reaching moral issue nor a political issue. It is a smoke-screen used to distract people from real issues.
Those in power wish to stay in power and do not wish to share their power with those not in power. If people are left to vote and act on the issues, they'll vote and act for themselves. For a certain political party in the USA, whom we'll not name but just call the elephants, it is bad news when people actually do this. It's impossible to get people to knowingly vote and act against themselves and so the
elephants have devised this strategy where they convince group A that group B is a threat to them and, in order to protect themselves, group A must act and vote against group B. At the same time, they convince group B that group C is a threat and that group B should vote and act against group C. And on down the line to group Z, whom they convince that group A is a threat and must be voted and acted against.
And then the
Elephants promises each group that if they vote for the
elephants, the
elephants will act to protect any group from any other group.
The result is that instead of anyone voting for themselves, they vote against someone else never quite noticing that by doing so, they are also voting against themselves. It's a age-old strategy of warfare known as "Divide and Conquer."
I'm of course talking about the Republican Party. It recently occurred to me that not a single person that I know that voted Republican in the last presidential election can tell me what, exactly, it was that they had voted for. Everyone can give me a long list of things that they voted against but no one seems to be able to say what, exactly, they voted FOR.
When a politician focuses on stopping gay marriage, this should send up the red flags. Since gay marriage, or gay anything for that matter, has absolutely zero relevence to anyone that is not gay, this should clue the person in to the fact that for the issues that actually are relevent to the person, that politician might not have that person's best interests in mind. Unfortunately, it seems that it didn't clue enough people in.
EVERYONE!!!! PLEASE LISTEN!!!! FORGET ABOUT THE OTHER GUY!!!! Vote and act FOR YOURSELF!!!!
