So was Yeshua right, Ace? I'm confused...Sorry but Constantine hadn't arrived on the scene in the 1st century,
So what is worship of God on other days?
So can generating electricity. And there's no need of police or fire protection on the sabbath.God's Sabbath commandment required no secular activity at all one day a week. Daily devotion and meditation during-grass-cutting could be done on the 6 other days.
Thank you Bob, I'm trying to keep up but It's hard work!Gentiles begged for Gospel preaching to be given to them "the next Sabbath" in Acts 13.
Acts 18:4 both believing gentiles and believing Jews were gathering "every Sabbath" to hear Gospel preaching.
The divergance - did not happen in the first century. So look carefully in the NT and you will find no NT writers saying "we meet every week-day-1 and not on the Sabbath" nor "we meet on week-day-1 instead of the seventh day" nor "week day 1 is the Lord's Day now" nor "Week day 1 is the Sabbath now"
Thank you Bob, I'm trying to keep up but It's hard work!
If you're referring to a poster, yes he's wrong. Just google Constantine for the dates. My sources places the writing of 1 Corinthians around 55 AD. They received offerings on the first day of the week. This is part of worship. If you want a bunch of quotes showing the Church met on Sunday from secular (not Bible) historical documents let me know. I have a few.So was Yeshua right, Ace? I'm confused...
Thanks Bob, I'm trying to make up for lost time but you guys are on another level.. it's hard trying to take it all in. I do appreciate that you;re trying to make it accessible to us though!Glad to help. You ask good questions!
Keeping up here is a full time job.Thank you Bob, I'm trying to keep up but It's hard work!
lol.. tell me about it.. and I thought secular life was dynamic!Keeping up here is a full time job.
Don't be sorry. Repent (turn to Yahweh)(because of other posts you posted) and read what was written in my post you quoted again.Sorry but Constantine hadn't arrived on the scene in the 1st century,
I didn't say you did. The point is Christians were worshiping on Sunday long before Constantine.Don't be sorry. Repent (turn to Yahweh)(because of other posts you posted) and read what was written in my post you quoted again.
I did not say he was in the 1st century.
The Jews consider our Saturday the sabbath because of the famous 10 (Ten Commandments). We diverged at the Cross and more to accurately leaving the synagogue by force. Read what the Jews even Paul did to Christians in Acts. Read what they did to Paul for preaching Jesus in Acts and His letters.Hahaha guys... for my sanity, can you guys find some common ground so I can preach to my own peers? I only asked... why do Jews consider Saturday to be the Sabbath and when did they or we diverge? You guys are way too knowledgeable... I'm a simple man!
Thank you ace... I can follow that and that's what I'll tell my friends! The Jews consider our Saturday the sabbath because of the famous 10 (Ten Commandments). We diverged at the Cross and more to accurately leaving the synagogue by force. Read what the Jews even Paul did to Christians in Acts. Read what they did to Paul for preaching Jesus in Acts and His letters.
So ? That doesn't change anything of TORAH.I didn't say you did. The point is Christians were worshiping on Sunday long before Constantine.
No, and no.The Jews consider our Saturday the sabbath because of the famous 10 (Ten Commandments). We diverged at the Cross and more to accurately leaving the synagogue by force. Read what the Jews even Paul did to Christians in Acts. Read what they did to Paul for preaching Jesus in Acts and His letters.
Any time. If you want those historical quotes let me know.Thank you ace... I can follow that and that's what I'll tell my friends!![]()
test everything first.......... otherwise big no no .....Thank you ace... I can follow that and that's what I'll tell my friends!
Ace did not read accurately .... see my post - I never said Constantine was in the first century. So was Yeshua right, Ace? I'm confused...
No because the word "shabbath" (sabbath) doesn't appear until Ex 16. In Ex 20 the reason for the sabbath is creation. The word wherefore means because. I Deut 5 the word is therefore and the reason was their deliverance from Egypt. No, and no.
Yahweh set the Sabbath 7th Day apart and made it holy at creation.
"We " did not diverge at the cross... and no, not leaving the synagogue willingly nor by force at that time.
