"few on the narrow road" ...
and JESUS, of course !

The Church has always met on Sunday; you can read the writings of the Church Fathers if you need evidence of this.
Sure, because Christians didn't obey the commandments until Ellen White arrived.
Nah, I have been in your threads and they don't come to any conclusion. No scripture? I did not think so.
Where does it say in God's WORD? (Scripture please)
1. That God's 4th commandments 7th day Sabbath has been abolished?
2. That Jesus is a Sabbath?
3. The Sabbath (seventh day) was ever changed from the seventh to the first day of the week?
4. Where we are told to keep the first day of the week holy?
5. Where the first day of the week (Sunday) is ever called a holy day?
6. That says that Jesus ever kept the first day (Sunday)?
7. That tells us to keep the first day in honour of the resurrection of Christ?
8. Where the first day is ever given any sacred name?
9. That affirms that any of the apostles ever kept the first day as the Sabbath?
10. From any apostolic writings that authorizes Sunday observance as the Sabbath of God?
11. Where we are told not to work on the first day of the week?
12. That says the seventh day is no longer God's Sabbath day?
13. That says the seventh day Sabbath is ABOLISHED?
14. Where the apostles ever taught any convert to keep the first day of the week as a Sabbath?
15. Where the first day was ever appointed to be kept as the Lord's Day?
16. Where the first day of the week is ever called the Lord's Day?
17. That says that the first day of the week was ever sanctified and hallowed as a day of rest?
18. That says that the Father or the Son (Jesus) rested on the first day of the week?
19. That says that Jesus, Paul or any other of the apostles taught anyone to observe the first day of the week as the Sabbath?
20. That calls the seventh day the “Jewish Sabbath” or one text that calls Sunday the “Christian Sabbath”?
21. Telling man to keep the first day of the week holy or to worship or rest on the first day of the week?
22. Authorizing anyone to set aside God's Sabbath and observe any other day?
23. Showing any of the apostles keeping the first day of the week as the Sabbath?
24. Authorizing someone to set aside the fourth Commandment and observe any other day of the week?
25. Where any apostle taught us to keep the first day of the week as the Sabbath?
26. Declaring that the seventh day is no longer the Eternal Sabbath day?
27. Where Sunday is now appointed to be kept as the New Testament Sabbath or holy day?
You do not have to answer these questions if your not able to. They should at the very least give you something to pray about and think about if your serious to follow God's WORD.
God's sheep hear his Voice (the Word)
Wow! I never thought of the 1st century as modern.Nope, the few who have modern Christian teachings.
I think that is really when the Jews threw the Christians out of the synagogue.I gather Jews believe that Saturday is the Sabbath.. forgive my ignorance but where did we diverge?
Aaaahhhh thank you Ace!!!I think that is really when the Jews threw the Christians out of the synagogue.
Any time.Aaaahhhh thank you Ace!!!

See.. that's why I love baptists.. they know their shizzle! Thanks Yeshua, I learned something today! No, it wasn't Christians (not at all like today's 'Christians' anyway)
who were kicked out of the synagogues - it was Ekklesia - mostly Jews called by Yahweh, repented, immersed in Yashua's Name, law abiding always , keeping TORAH faithfully SAME AS JESUS...
and that's still not when the divergence happened ...
it was a few hundred years later, although some gradually over that time,
when the followers of Jesus were threatened by Constantine to either convert to Catholicism or flea/ be exiled/ , or die. (many were killed).
Many Jews, not saved ones, became Catholic, in name only, and started changing it from the inside out - corrupting it even more that it was.
Many Ekklesia fled/ went into hiding to prevent being killed/martyred.
Plus or minus up to a few hundred years, or more?, Constantine and those exerting power with him,
made laws opposed to Jesus Word, opposed to TORAH, demanding those under their power break the commandments or die.
By around that time, the official "Christendom" had changed so much,
no longer was voluntary poverty part of the assemblies as it was always at first.
No longer was Yahweh's Word honored and Yahweh glorified.
No longer was 'official state religion' honoring Yahweh's Sabbath - though all the followers of Jesus , faithful to Yahweh, kept Yahweh's Sabbath. (until they were martyred, or died otherwise) ....
That's it in a nutshell, so to speak, from memory.... long long memory, in general.... for the details, do not trust the internet/ forums. Seek other places for the truth, and keep seeking, as in seeking YAHWEH HIMSELF,
seeking Yahweh's Kingdom (not just scholastic 'facts') .....
Delight yourself in His Word, Loving Him! and HE WILL DELIGHT IN THEE!
Learn the difference between those who do what they are supposed to do,
and those who don't.... as written in - throughout - all Scripture.
Jesus says Yahweh (God) is seeking those worshipers to serve Him who worship in spirit and in truth. Every day , doing what the Father says do.

Sorry but Constantine hadn't arrived on the scene in the 1st century,No, it wasn't Christians (not at all like today's 'Christians' anyway)

Not even remotely so - ALL DAY, every service, every word, every action,
even washing dishes or cutting grass ,
Sorry but Constantine hadn't arrived on the scene in the 1st century,
So what is worship of God on other days?Correction about the 4th commandment. It does not say "do not worship God in spirit and in truth every day... only worship God on the 7th day"
Worship of God on the first day is established in the NT not later than 50 AD.Certainly it is true that more info will be forthcoming on the church meeting on week-way-1 from non-Bible sources such as people living centuries after the NT writers... but just not in the actual NT
