Why is my faith not enough?

According to Jesus, regeneration (Jn 3:3-5) is a sovereign act of the Holy Spirit, as unaccountable as the wind (Jn 3:6-8), and dependent on nothing man does, including baptism.

Thank you for demonstrating your lack of understanding of Water Baptism. Jesus does everything on the Sacraments, including Baptism.

Scriptural proof. . .starting with the word "sacrament" in the original (Greek) texts.

It's not there. . .what is there is musterion (mystery); i.e., something never before revealed, which has nothing to do with "sacraments;" e.g.,
1) death of Christ (1 Co 2:1)--secret wisdom, 2:7
2) God's purpose to sum up all things in Christ (Eph 1:9),
3) to include both Jews and Gentiles in the NT church (Eph 3:3-6),
4) change that will take place at the resurrection (1 Co 15:51),
5) plan by which a remnant of both Jew and Gentile will be included in his kingdom (Ro 11:25),
6) incarnation (1 Tim 3:16).

Im not here to bash anyone. But i have a question. Why do I need Catholicism, EO, or any church who claims to be the true church? I know the Lord's commands and i dont need the doctrines of catholicism or other churches. So why does anyone need it? Doesn’t it only divide us? Shouldn't we take a more simplistic approach in order to have one mind in Christ?

Nobody that is a true born again Christian is ever an island unto themselves. We are the body of Christ that is still in this sinful world, hence why we need to assemble ourselves together at times to sort of recharge and cleanse. The sprinkling of the blood of Jesus is only there when we assemble together.

I'm not telling you to associate with an assembly that you don't agree with, but I am telling to you to find one that you can begin to connect with GOD more in worship. The benefits outweigh the negatives.

What do you mean by your question, exactly? Are you asking why you need a body to correct you, to support you, and to worship with? What do you mean by a "simplistic approach", exactly?

Thanks for asking. First let me say that I'm suggesting that my faith is enough. I hope others will agree and see that their faith isn't the only way. Maybe they will see that the things that divide them are unnecessary. After all I dont have those things and my faith is enough. I know this wont happen but I can't help but try.

To get to your question. The simplistic approach is to agree on the Lord's commands and forget the divisive theology. Instead of debating the same old issues that never get resolved, put religion on a diet. Keep it simple. If we can't agree on Jesus commands and forget divisive things, then what's the point?

The Pharisees and scribes gave me the Old Testament and the apostles gave me the new. I would never follow the Pharisees though.

He said do as they say but not as they do because they're hypocrites. But that doesn't mean I should obey false doctrine or join a church that doesn't train its people to follow Jesus. Jesus said not to worry about our life yet Republicans and democrats in the church fight over the economy. They complain and sow fear. The church shepherds see no problem with that. Well i do.
