:mmh: Just wondering. Why is it so easy for others to find love or just someone in their lives, while other's can't even get a date! I mean...It's like... crazy. I've had more internet flings then real life prospects! :doh:It's so complicated. I mean...I can have guy friends easy. I'm into action and adventure movies, Video Games, Football, (not so Wrestling fan) I mean I have lived around guys my whole life and I just don't get it. I know it's not about that, but at least I can find something of commonality with guys, but I can't get a date to save my life. I know what it is, but changing that part of my life is not easy. I wish I had someone who could be my motivator. I can't be the only one feeling this way for sure. I mean some people complain about being single, but they can do the dating thing every week, while...others take years just to get 1 date. Life is so cruel.
I was just about to say it's like a cruel joke. People that never seem to be single are either not very selective or they're just really lucky.

My sister and I are polar opposites in that regard. I don't think she's been single for more than a few months at a time. And, then there's me who's never had a relationship. Granted, my sister is the more attractive one, but there's more factors involved I'm sure.

You know what else is hard? Getting dumped. That is hard. That's why I'm post post posting all over the internet and text text texting friends at break-neck speeds to purge the bile within me. Also intoxicated. As the venerable Heckmair once said about himself while descending the west ridge of the Eiger after the first successful summit "The human animal was unhappy." This human animal is unhappy, thought the mind knows it is for nothing.

edit: when you meet someone, a seed is planted in your soul which, if nurtured, grows into a plant whose roots wrap around the vital organs of the self, crawling and probing deep inside you and when this plant is ultimately uprooted it lacerates every delicate part of the soul which it has touched and leaves and miserable pit which only time and Johnny Walker Red can fill.

edit2: what is most essential in life is to find and keep those friends who are willing to drive over to your place at 3:30 AM to give comfort in times of need. They will see you through the darkness even when those who have claimed to love you throw you away.

Some people have physical beauty, which draws people to them automatically. Others have charisma, by which they can draw others to them deliberately. Others have both.

Some of us, on the other hand, have neither, and I've given up on trying to figure out how to attract members of the opposite sex in the absence of those things.
