  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why I was bummed out.

I believe the maximum stars you can get here are 15. I read that somewhere. :)
hi Daisy =)
The maximum stars that show up on your panel is 15 gold stars... but you can get hundreds of stars -as far as I know, it's unlimited?

:)

I'm going to sit here & watch Ty & Avatar challenge each other lol

Zillion
Imaginary words ending in the sound "-illion", such as zillion[1] and bazillion[2], are often used as fictitious names for an unspecified, large number, by analogy to names of large numbers such as billion and trillion. Their size is dependent upon the context, but can typically be considered large enough to be unfathomable by the average human mind.
These terms are often used as hyperbole or for comic effect, or in loose, unconfined conversation to present an un-guessably large number. Since these are undefined, they have no mathematical validity and no accepted order, since none is necessarily larger or smaller than any of the others.

Another poster provided a caption: "President Bush shed a tear when he heard that 3 Brazilian soldiers had been killed in Iraq. To his credit he quickly composed himself and asked the guy next to him "How many is a Brazillion?".

Gosh - I couldn't log on before work today because of an early meeting, then I worked through lunch and couldn't log on then - and my oh my did I miss a lot.

First of all - let me say that I love my Christian brothers and sisters that I've come to know here - we might never meet face to face in this world, but I'm confident we'll be worshiping together in the next.

Now - I love receiving reps as much as the next person - I especially like to read the comments and/or Bible verses that people include. More than that though, I love giving reps. It's fun to push someone higher, help them receive those elusive first stars, give a final push to a next level and yest to rep an exceptionally good post.

If I never got another rep - that would be ok as long as I am able to continue fellowshipping with those who have become dear to me. I covet the prayers that have been lifted up for me and I'm privileged to pray for others, I love hearing the stories folks share about themselves, their families and their friends, heck - I love hearing the complaints about the weather.
