Why do you think the sabbath is always such a 'hot topic'?
Its not. It just looks like it is because two ot three members start a new Sabbath thread every day and rergurgitate the same old weak, worn out, Sabbatarian arguments.
Wow! 87 threads on the Sabbath, [with the pope threads in a slight lead].Oh, if I had a nickel for every S. Hahn regurgitation...

Just a quick question for the SDA's on this thread. Do you folks also observe the sabbatical year and the year of jubilee?
Matthew 5:17RND said:I believe the Holy Spirit and thus Jesus led me to the sabbath. Does that mean Jesus tells some the truth and tells other error? That the Ten Commandments is for some and not the other?Matthew 12:10
And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.Vs 11 & 12 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
I myself have never read much on him or his books, and truthfully, I probably never will.About what they are worth in nickels using inflation adjusted value of same from 1909
Titus 3:9Where there is controversies.. there you will have the most threads on the subject... usually because these are key contentions of faith... and because of the strong convictions.. important to the posters.
Titus 3:9
But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
James 3:16
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Well...sitting there, trying to prove an SDA that they're wrong about their law-based beliefs probably doesn't do any good after a while...but if, say, your intention is to quash falsities about the Gospel that are being presented at large to other brothers and sisters around, then one could argue there is indeed some use in that. One might say that these scriptures instruct us to avoid theses kinds of Internet forums all together. Thoughts anyone?
Matthew 5:17
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Romans 13:10
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
