Which "the bible" is the word of God?
You want to throw the baby out with the scriptural bathwater, I take it. Virtually every church in Christendom agrees on the same 66 books, so what is your objection to them?

no, you can let God do the judging of his servant and stop putting yourself in his seat.
Please try to keep the discussion serious.

the previous post showed billy graham and the pope in agreement over "the bible" but billy graham used a 66 book bible and the pope uses a bible with more books in it . that was why i asked the question . Bible A and Bible B are not the same bible . also there's Bible C and Bible D as well .

okay then, more plainly, discuss my posts not the poster (me)

Let me refresh your memory.

The previous post showed the Pope and the Rev. Mr. Graham in agreement that the Bible is properly termed the "Word of God." It was not about them agreeing on the particular books to be included, although they clearly do agree on the 66 that I referred to.

:sigh:

no Catholics have it written in their catechism what the "deposit of faith" is . and its not 66 books .

Arminianism and Finneyism are two different things. Please don't be so polemical to the point you engage in distortions of what other people truly believe.

Arminius also believed the elect were "chosen before the foundation of the world", but God chose them on the basis of their faith.

Could you elaborate on how you see the difference between 'chosen before the foundation of the world' and 'chosen on the basis of their faith' Also how you reconcile scripture on that?

One line of Arminian reasoning is that before the foundation of the world, God foresaw (or foreknew) who would come to faith, and "chose" them on that basis. They were "chosen" or "elected" "according to the foreknowledge of the Father" (1 Pet. 1:2).

Here's the statement:

the Pope has called the Bible the "Word of God," and the Rev. Billy Graham has called the Bible the "Word of God." For any of us ordinary mortals to claim more expertise in these matters than BOTH of those men....

Yes.

And foreknowledge is not exactly accurate when viewed from God's perspective. God is outside of time. God knows who are his because he knows our choices.

He sees the finished product already. We don't.

Most Christians are Catholic. Another 500 million are Orthodox.

Which bible do they use?

I've already shown that the term "Word of God" is widely used among Christians all across the spectrum. The head of your own church did so in public. That was the issue--the terminology.
