why did it take asking you 3 times before you could say if you were born again or not?
Possibly I didn't read your post? Or didn't understand the question. If you are born again, why not describe what it is like?

you read it, and understood it, but like to play games I suspect, so sidestepped answering a yes or no question.

The reason I havent described my salvation experience is that going by your responses to others you would attempt to tear it apart and I do not want something special to me and the Lord trodden on and sullied. And asking me about my experience was simply a way for you to not answer yes or no (playing games) you were not really interested.

case in point... you are playing games..
Until you describe the new birth experience, the ball remains in your court. It's important, without the New Birth you cannot understand scripture. It tells me if I'm wasting my time or not.

Well, we can't speak about the Trinity. I gave you Jesus' own words. He said, 'a spirit does not have flesh and bone as you see I have.' You can either work your beliefs around what He said, or you can deny what He said and keep your beliefs.

They thought He was a ghost.

He informed them that His body is physical..

Which has absolutely no bearing on the fact that His eternal divine Spirit indwells His body, just like our spirit indwells our body.

When you mention your body to someone, like your doctor, do you add that you have a spirit indwelling it?

Of course not.

You might need a Logic 101 class...

If no repentance, no salvation. On that you agree, I expect. So how does a dead man repent, nevermind WANT to repent?

I love how Calvinists take the concept of a dead lifeless physical body not being able to think or move, and try to apply it to spiritual death, which is defined in scripture as being separated from Gods presence - not as being unable to think or make a choice at all.

The bible portrays a much different picture about mans condition than you are claiming,

1)man has a heart that is deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9)
2)man is full of evil (Mark 7:21-23)
3)man loves darkness (John 3:19),
4)man does not seek for God (Romans 3:10-12),
5)man is ungodly (Romans 5:6),
6)man is a sinner (Romans 5:12)
7)man is dead in his sins (Ephesians 2:1),
8)man by nature a child of wrath (Ephesians 2:3),
9)man cannot understand spiritual things (1 Corinthians 2:14),
10)man is a slave of sin (Romans 6:16-20)
11)man is sinful in the womb (Psalms 51:5)
12)man is conceived in sin(Psalms 51:5)
13)man cannot do good(Romans 3:10)
14) man hates God (Romans 8:7)
15)man loves sin (1 John 3:19)
16)man heart is corrupt and his thoughts are and evil continually (Genesis 6:5)

So how can one who is dead in their sins, a slave to sin, conceived in sin, who by nature hates God and loves sin, cannot do good for there is none who does good no not one. How can they do anything other than sin ?

sin is their master and they are slaves to sin. how can they do otherwise ?

just what are the free to do other than sin ?

hope this helps!!!

They have limited freewill to choose from many different types of sin. In addition they have some ability to not sin via human forms of morality. The verse below might even imply a possibility of mercy for those who never heard about Jesus at the white throne.

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another

I misunderstood this one I think so an edit is in order.

Are you implying it`s wrong to repent? A sinner can`t repent? Dead people repent?

Clarify, I dare u :smilecat:
Ha ha, no I'm not implying it's wrong to repent! I'm asking how somebody dead in their sins can repent, or even want to repent.

The Reformed happily claim people make choices --real choices, in fact, with real results. It is the Bible that says people are dead spiritually --do you not know what "without me you can do nothing" means?

You might want to tell him why you believe yourself to be saved, unless you simply disrespect him and don't care what he thinks of you.

Sinners often feel guilt and regret for their transgressions. Your opinion that they don`t makes you sound like you`ve pretty much just known religeous people in your life.
