I'm a witch, and I'd love to know what the heck it is that Christians dislike about us.
I do not dislike you personally.
I was into the occult/witchcraft for a couple number years in HS. I know what it did to me. It started out as something very interesting and I enjoyed the power. After a while bad things began to happen. Demonic things. Demons really do not like us. They are jealous about the relationship we can have with God.
The worse demon attack I even endured was when I was reading about Christianity. They really got angry about that.
Now they just leave me alone.
So it is not you. It is what I know is going on behind the curtain.

Thats the occult.....witchcraft would also teach protection form the 'evil' forces. I'v had to skip a couple of pages because of the length but I want to comment on a few thigns mentioned earlier..the original first post I would like to say..why do u need their validation.....who cares really, its a person choice to like and dislike things..just be secure with your own faith and learn to live and except other peoples dislikes. Also people seem to ask why we pagans are here....we are sitting in the spirtual area which is open to all religions and is for the debate of religions....true wiccans are always learnign and like to have all the info and everythign because that makes them happy because they love to learn about diversity and differen,ce and similarities.

Christians do not like witchcraft because not just anyone can do it, and where would this leave their priests, they would not look so clever now would they?
So the easiest way out of this problem is to declare it to be evil, and the work of the devil.
If priests were able to do unexplainable things they would not claim this to be witchcraft, but miracles, and the work of god.

They really are full of S$$$, just like the self declared witches on this forum.
This is an extremely uneducated bunch of comments. First off, anybody can do witchcraft if they want to and are willing to learn it. Anybody. That doesn't mean they'll be good at it, but they can do it.
It would behoove you to learn about something before you insult it. Just because you don't believe in it, doesn't mean anyone if full of anything. I have had amazing experiences through Christ, AND I have seen some incredible things that witches have done.
Please stop being rude and saying things like that about people

Several times you've mentioned the word 'sin' among your replies. I realize that that's what your bible says, but a true Wiccan would never do anything to hurt a person.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHA

Unbelievable. My week is made, my worldview vindicated. (Again)

Like I said, only Christians have any hope of shedding their narcissism and self-righteousness. Above is yet more proof.

If that's true, then why haven't Christians been any more successful than the rest of us in actually doing so? Just curious.

That is kidna harsh Godzman....wicca is a newish religion...it is based on the old witchcraft...and is basically an earth religion. There are heaps of posts aroudn by people who know the history better. But it is quite similar to witchcraft.
Anyway, my friend is a witch, a modern day witch, one who practices wicca one part of a larger Pagan religion.

Anyway, the lies, are basically rejecting Christ as the son of God, although he could be a god, and goddess worship, I've gone back and forth with my friend, and I'll reword what I said, imho they are lies of wicca

As you have no evidence of god, you can not rightfully claim that "rejecting Christ as the son of God " is a lie. This may be your opinion, but you have no evidence to back it up, and as such it is worthless.

Thanks for the link, I've had a look, but In have to ask, what is the point of it ?

Joanna Hautin-Mayer has written:

"We know tragically little about the actual religious expressions of the ancient Celts. We have a few myths and legends, but very little archeological evidence to support our theories. We have no written records of their actual forms of worship, and the accounts of their culture and beliefs written by their contemporaries are often highly biased and of questionable historical worth."

I would say that the exerpt below is fairly accurate.

Margaret Murray (1863 - 1963) authored The Witch Cult in Western Europe and The God of the Witches. 6 These books promoted the concept that some of the Witches who were exterminated by Roman Catholics and Protestants during the "Burning Times" (circa 1450-1792) were remnants of an earlier, organized, and dominant pre-Christian religion in Europe. Her writings have not been well received by anthropologists. However, they were very influential in providing background material for the Neopagan traditions.

A person can only lie if s/he knows what the truth is and deliberately chooses not to tell it. E.g., if I know that the truth is that I am pregnant and I tell my doctor I am not, then I am lying. However, if I do NOT know that I am pregnant, but I am, and I tell my doctor I am not...then I'm not "lying."

In the case of religion, unlike the question of whether or not I'm pregnant, there is no objective evidence as to what the truth is. All of us with faith could be believing untruths. However, it is unfair to say we are "lying" when we say what we believe. I think it's fair to say that we all truly believe what we say we do, and that we believe that what we believe is the truth.

witches in my country harm people, their goal is to make portions and curse people, me being cautious about withcraft is not a christian thing, it just a response to wicked things.

That may be so...just realize that not all witches are what you consider "evil." Witchcraft is a practice that reflects the beliefs of the practitioner, there is no one set way to practice Witchcraft. It can be said that Witchcraft is a journey into the depths of one's mind and spirit. With me, Witchcraft brings me closer to my conception of God, and what Christians need to realize is that just because they believe something doesn't necessarily make it true, however on the same token that doesn't mean it's false, it's simply a BELIEF. We all come from different walks of life and many have had experiences that make us believe what we believe. And even on that, just because somone else has had a certain experience with witchcraft let's say, that doesn't mean that everyone is bound to that same experience. In other words, that is THEIR holy spirit telling THEM, not YOU, that the path THEY are on is not the path that THEIR soul desires, not YOUR soul. If there were such a thing as sin, this would be it, to allow yourself to become what you are because of the experience of others, that defeats the whole purpose of our identity on this planet.
