Why do Christians hate Wicca(Witchcraft)?

I am a christian and I do not hate you. My best friend is wiccan. I have met many of her friends and they are mainly a great bunch of people. I think in all groups you will find some that judge others. That is wrong in my opinion.

Dislike is a completely different thing! And YES! Most christians DO dislike pagans. It's a known fact. As for HATING...it's a terribly strong word and it wasn't even used in the initial post. I DISLIKE a lot of things...I hate few.

I'm a witch, and I'd love to know what the heck it is that Christians dislike about us.

The bible says not to mess around with spirits as they may be up to mischief and distract us from our relationship with God. Via the Lord's prayer, we can reach God so we don't need to worry about any other supernatural beings.

If that is from a witch's perspective, that would be good, as the two are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Christianity is of Christ, one God, Almighty God, our Lord and Saviour. Wicca, witches, and pagans are of the devil, and I wouldn't expect them to like Christianity. There is only one master, and HE is LORD over all, the ONE who will cast the devil into the lake of fire at God Almighty's appointed time.

One end of the spectrum is good, God Almighty, and the other end of the spectrum is evil, the devil. If you are not worshipping God Almighty, you are worshipping the devil, plain and simple.

Christians do not like witchcraft because not just anyone can do it, and where would this leave their priests, they would not look so clever now would they?
So the easiest way out of this problem is to declare it to be evil, and the work of the devil.
If priests were able to do unexplainable things they would not claim this to be witchcraft, but miracles,and the work of god.

They really are full of S$$$, just like the self declared witches on this forum.

How can I hate *you* I don't even know you? Even if I disliked you; I would not hate you because Jesus taught that hate is the same as murder.

I do however hate your religion; because it is decieving our youth. That type of hate is righteous because we are taught to hate sin; not the sinner.

I would have thought claiming to have proof of absolute truth without a shred of substantive evidence to back it up would be a better example of decieving our youth.

You lie to them about proof you don't have while actively recruiting while we simply say what it is we believe without proseletysing. Who is doing the decieving here?

The fact is you are a very angry person with real hostility toward Christianity in general. I don't understand you misguided anger. IMO I think it is fear; fear that you are on the wrong path. For this is but one path to God; Jesus Christ!!

If following the Way and telling others of the truth of Christ makes me a bigot or prejudiced in your eyes, as false as that is, so be it.

If I was foolish enough to make a claim of absolute truth I would expect to have to prove it. If I couldn't prove it I would expect to have enough wisdom, or at least common sense to admit it and consult a dictionary regarding the difference between belief and proof.

What makes you a bigot it your attitude towards other people and their beliefs. Plenty of Christians manage to hold fast to their beliefs and be strong in their faith without needing to disparage and insult other peoples beliefs. You're not one of them.
