Let me help a baby starts to die from birth so you could say it is dying, however death will not happen for many years, so God said this to assure to Adam it would happen "from dust you came to dust you will return". Now the child is not dying of disease but you could say from sickness , Sin, Sin will cause the babies death Just like Adams.

The literalist reading doesn't say "you will begin dying the day you eat the fruit". It says "Surely on that day YOU WILL DIE".

Hint: the hebrew word used for "die" in Gen 2:17 is the VERY SAME WORD used to explain Adam's death, 930 years later, in Gen 5:5.

The literal death he died then was spiritual right there, and his body passed from a state of life to a state of death. The plenty of sin is death, sin is what causes are bodies to give out, Sin is what caused Adams body to die. What died that day was his life though the body was not completely dead it was no longer the body which God had first created. It literally died that body, The body of life and passed to a body of death.

WHy is that so hard to understand? I realize your whole argument hangs on it. The fact is there was no death, not even animals died, the first animals died when God made clothes for Adam, the sacrifice was made, death enter the world through Adam, the cruses came about. least said all this.

I never implied you did not have The Holy Spirit, what I said is a person can not understand the word with out The Holy Spirit. and that is what is wrong with that doctrine of evolution.

By all means, please tell us again how you are not implying that theistic evolutionists are unsaved. If you substitute "evolution" into "teaching things contrary" you end up suggesting that evolutionists ...

1. cause divisions
2. upset people’s faith
3. not serving Christ our Lord
4. serving their own personal interests
5. smooth talking
6. glowing words
7. deceive innocent people
8. (in contrary to those who are) obedient to the Lord
