Why are Churches so lax on food/health?

Exactly. Making wise decisions help people grow in their walk. It is not an issue of salvation.

I don't see what's wrong with donuts, cakes, chips, etc. Everything in moderation.

Maybe when it comes to your own mirror, it's just you who have a problem with such things.
How don't you see what's wrong with it? The church is the place where Christians, those who are set apart from the world, gather together. Don't you think the church of all places should set a good example? If a non-believer attends, wouldn't you think they would stand out if they offered fruits and veggies? That's my entire point. I never said it's bad to have on occasion, but for a Christian church to have that as an offering every service is not right and does not set itself apart.

No it doesn't. It has to do with the stuff we put into our bodies as well. Anything that causes harm to our bodies but satisfies the flesh we should watch out for.

Eating bacon every day is no more gluttony than eating veggies every day is.

1 Corinthians 11:33-34
33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.

34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

Its not an issue of holiness or godliness either. To say otherwise is not sound doctrine, nor wise.
I don't know why you are even saying that or coming on my thread making all these posts when it is pretty obvious, junk food is not good for you and Christians of all people should set the example of eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle. Again, if you disagree with that, you are foolish. It is obvious God wants us to be healthy and care for our bodies he gave us and not give into carnal desires. This should be obvious to any Christian.

Not here to judge ya man ! , you do you, but seems like not the wisest thing in the world to do.

Its foolish to say that godliness has to do with eating food.

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Yes come together to eat food, not junk. Junk food we have today did not exist in biblical times. Heck it did not even exist recently, in the 1800s we didn't have the junk we have today. It all started being mass produced in 20th century.

Saying that food destroys the temple is unwise, its not taught in the bible, saying its a sin is unwise. Its not sound doctrine.

It's not food. God does not bless you putting junk into your body. So it is not foolish, what you are saying is foolish. It is NOT food. The things in the middle aisle of the grocery store DID NOT EXIST in biblical times, and that is a fact. Why are you arguing something so simple? I have no idea why some of you get so defensive to protect things the world loves and feeds your fleshly desires.
