Do you understand why the US is “helping”?He is asking for help, Ukraine has lost, without major help from other Country's it is just a matter of time.
I don't know what your photoshop skills are like, but it would be a good idea if you posted a map with a line indicating the furthest you think Russia should go before NATO troops become involved. And one showing where US troops need to step in as well (Denver maybe?).You ... we .... don't know how Trump would end the war.
Ukraine is running out of people to fight .... I have no doubt it will come to NATO sending in troops ... and no I'm not for sending in troops to defend Ukraine.
Russia made a land bridge to connect Russia to Crimea.I don't know what your photoshop skills are like, but it would be a good idea if you posted a map with a line indicating the furthest you think Russia should go before NATO troops become involved. And one showing where US troops need to step in as well (Denver maybe?).
That Russian Navy base in Crimea has always belonged to Russia.
Russia made a land bridge to connect Russia to Crimea.
Russia is protecting their own Navy Base in Crimea.
How's that going for them?Russia made a land bridge to connect Russia to Crimea.
Russia is protecting their own Navy Base in Crimea.
Give Russia and Ukraine seats in European Parliament. And had Russia never invaded Ukraine, it would likely still be Russian.
Your logic is the same as if the US invades Cuba to protect the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base. Russia was leasing the Naval Base, were not in danger of losing the base, but invaded Crimea anyway. It was not always Russia's Base, Russia built the base after invading Ukraine in the 19th Century, then lost the base for most of the century, only taking it back on the eve of the 20th Century. In some ways, the base is the perfect analogy of Russian aggression and imperialism.
What's that saying? Make your enemies your friendsIf the Ukranians' battle against their invaders goes badly, you will just be postponing far more dangerous wars--starting in Latvia and Lithuania, creeping towards Poland and Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia...
The President we don't need is the one who admires ruthless totalitarian dictators like Vladimir Putin, who ordered the invasion.
Russia made a land bridge to connect Russia to Crimea.
Russia is protecting their own Navy Base in Crimea.
That Worked out well for the Poles at Katyn. What's that saying? Make your enemies your friends
I dont think the EU is interested in admitting such a blatant tyranny into its fold. The EU might if Russia ever expressed interest in joining the EU; Russia appears to have zero interest.
“Keep you enemies close” is not the same as admire them and take notes on how to become them. What's that saying? Make your enemies your friends
If trillions of dollars are offered/ at stake, do you think they might then ?I dont think the EU is interested in admitting such a blatant tyranny into its fold.
No.If trillions of dollars are offered/ at stake, do you think they might then ?
It very well would not need to be Russia, but a far different ... well.... different.... way...No.
Plus Russia was never going to hand out trillions of dollars.
Only one who can end the war in Ukraine today if they wanted to is Putin. If the US were to pull its support, many other European countries would likely follow and Ukraine would be left alone to face the invading horde and would eventually be absorbed into the Russian federation. It is ironically in the best interest of the US to keep Ukraine in the fight applying pressure to Russia to make this as painful for them as possible. Their invasion and illegal annexation of sovereign territory cannot go unpunished.Who should I vote for to end the war in Ukraine?
Too vague to respond to.It very well would not need to be Russia, but a far different ... well.... different.... way...
Dollars, Persuasion, Influence, Trickery .... a lot involved, not just dollars.
This is Moscow's war:
'Washington' didn't illegally occupy and annex Crimea in 2014
'Washington' didn't send 'little green men' into Luhansk and Donestk just three months later
'Washington' didn't rotate more than 40,000 combat troops through separatist regions over the course of eight years
'Washington' didn't provide separatists in Luhansk and Donestk with modern arms, armour, air defense systems and logistics - leading to the shooting down of a commercial airliner in the process
'Washington' didn't pay mercenary groups/PMCs to train separatists and attack Ukrainian military and civil infrastructure
'Washington' didn't launch a massive and illegal invasion of a neighbouring sovereign state
'Washington' didn't conduct shame referendums in occupied territories
'Washington' didn't try to prevent it's neighbour from negotiating political, economic and military ties with Western powers
'Washington' isn't conducting nightly cruise missile and guided drone attacks against civilian targets
This is Kiev's war too:
It wasn't Washington that stopped Russia forces in Kiev, Donestk and Kherson - it was Ukrainian troops
It wasn't Washington that counterattacked and pushed Russian forces out of Kiev, Kherson and Kharkiv - it was Ukrainian troops
It wasn't Washington that blunted Russia's winter offensive to a standstill - it was Ukrainian troops
Russia is the one that can end this war - by packing up and going home.
Who do you believe would be the best American candidate to end the war?Washington instigated a coup d'etat against the lawful government of the Ukraine in 2014. Everything that has happened there since then, including this current war, is fallout from that. So in a very real sense, Washington did do those things.
Ukrainian troops who are essentially fodder for Washington.
If you're talking about the restoration of the Ukraine's pre-2014 borders, that's a non-starter, because the political order which those borders rested on no longer exists. That was America's doing not Russia's. Much of the territory claimed by Kiev was lost to them years before the Russians moved in. It's still in the works exactly where the new border will be drawn, but the old one is gone for good - it exists only on paper.
This is false and Russian propaganda.Washington instigated a coup d'etat against the lawful government of the Ukraine in 2014.
It is, but not in the way you claim.Everything that has happened there since then, including this current war, is fallout from that.
Nope. Moscow did this.So in a very real sense, Washington did do those things.
Ukrainian troops would be defending their country from a brutal invader even if we were begging them to give up.Ukrainian troops who are essentially fodder for Washington.
That's not the case. Ukraine hasn't reworked it's government since 2013. Russia even has the same president. If you're talking about the restoration of the Ukraine's pre-2014 borders, that's a non-starter, because the political order which those borders rested on no longer exists.
All of the occupied territory was occupied by Russia or it's proxies. In Crimea the Russians invaded with their Spetznaz forces "incognito". (The started the operation before the Ukrainian Parliament removed the president.)That was America's doing not Russia's. Much of the territory claimed by Kiev was lost to them years before the Russians moved in.
It's still in the works exactly where the new border will be drawn, but the old one is gone for good - it exists only on paper.
