Matthew 24:
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over
his household, to give them their needs in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.
47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, My master is delaying his coming,
49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,
50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and
at an hour that he is not aware of,
51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites.
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
This is consistent with the Lord's teaching throughout:
To know and to do His Father's Will.
Mark 3:35 For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.
Matthew 7:
21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he
who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name,
cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?
23 And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me,
you who practice lawlessness!
Defined by abiding and being faithful with what we are given.
Romans 12:
3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think
more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one
a measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;
7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;
8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with
diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
1 John 2:17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does
the will of God abides forever.
