OK. I encourage you to rejoice that all the descendants in that one line from that blue-green slime all the way down to you were winners--every one! Many have lost in the struggle to survive. They never lived to have children. But not so with your ancestors or mine. They were all winners.

If I may, you are getting a bit of push back. The traditional Christian world view does not make us equal to God in every way. Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the Chief Cornerstone and the Apostles and prophets are the foundation. Christans build upon this.

I'll let you know if the water I set out last week turns to wine. As long as it does not work, I will assume I am less than God.

I am quite sure that I am not descended from Blue green algae. I don't think that blue green algae has any power of thought, or any such thing as a soul, or a spirit. I have value to God, because He made me, He determined who I would be and He also made man in His own likeness. The bible tells me this and that one day, I will stand before Him to account for what I have done with the life which He gave me.

But the emphasis is not on being equal with God.

The emphasis should be on being humble, and taking on the form of a servant.

Lucifer fell with that attitude.

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

And as he said to Eve:

Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

To his credit, Post 47 indicates that we all should think that.

So it's not just a personal claim he's making for himself, it's a mindset he's saying we should all have.

In addition, a mutant copy-error died on the Cross for us.
