Anyone who is not a practicing Jew, is a Gentile.
Can a Person Convert to Judaism? - The Jerusalem Post
Why Judaism definition and why not this:
Romans 2:28 For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. 29 But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.
How can we say we are gentiles by that definition in Romans 2? It doesn’t say that anyone who is not practicing Judaism is a gentile. In fact it says that God does not consider one a Jew by their keeping of tradition or by ancestry, which God defines who is a real Jew and should be our standard too. Then, shouldn’t we also do so irrespective of how Judaism defines a Jew and whether or not they accept God’s definition of who a Jew is?
