@gospels Clearly from 1 Corinthians 10.32 there are three distinct groups of people in the world: Jews, Gentiles and the church of God.
The point being that what's now doctrinally appropriate in the New Testament age is to abide by what Paul clearly shows.Yes, but how could anyone possibly know if they have a bloodline from Israel or not when they say they are gentile, not Jewish. Wouldn’t some would be remnant of Israel and they never even knew that?
Some Christians assert or claim that they are gentiles. I have no idea how they come to that conclusion. The people of the nation of Israel mixed with other nations and they are spread across the world. I wonder how some people are able to trace their ancestry all the way back to the period of Genesis where all nations first started. Because I think there is no way someone can say they are gentile unless they know for sure that none of their whole ancestors ever belonged to the line of Jacob (Israel).

There will be a tribulation remnant but I don't believe in a merely partial rapture before the tribulation remnant emerges.Well, Paul tells there is a remnant of Israel that will be saved and some of us could be one of them.

It no longer matters. In Christ there is no distinction. Some Christians assert or claim that they are gentiles. I have no idea how they come to that conclusion. As I understand it, the tribulation of Matthew 24 and the general tribulation idea of John 16.33 are distinct.Yes, so tribulation can happen in our lifetime, and some of us could be that remnant.
There is less than a one percent chance that you have a lineage, from Isaac through Jacob. You could have a direct bloodline to one of the tribes of Israel (from maybe one Israelite some 4000 years ago who journeyed and spread his legacy outside of Israel) and how would you know you are not?
You have a point. I can trace my folks family tree back to Europe in the 1700's but prior to that it is not really traceable. No telling where we came from prior to that. Some Christians assert or claim that they are gentiles. I have no idea how they come to that conclusion. Who Are Gentiles?

Man states many things. Its a good thing then that God states who are His children. Some Christians assert or claim that they are gentiles. I have no idea how they come to that conclusion. The Matthew 24 passage - with its strong Jewish overtones - is not speaking about the church before the rapture.
Yes, but I’m trying to understand why some people keep saying they are gentiles when they do not know their whole ancestry.
