The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Both of my kids have an ADHD diagnosis. My son's (15) evaluations have listed Asperger's-like symptoms. My dd (8) has some tendencies.

I have PDDNOS - not the complete spectrum (symptoms) of Autism, a diagnosis usually given to people in the Netherlands when they know something is wrong but not what.

i was diagnosed about 2 years ago with a mild form of aspergers. my father was diagnosed with a severe form of it at the same time.

I think I might have some form of AS! I think of myself as having a disorder--I'm just special and gifted--but if there is any "condition" that comes closest to describing me, it's probably AS.
I have extreme difficulty making friends, have always been a loner, and am obsessive about the subjects I am interested in until I learn everything about them (which usually does not take long because I seem to absorb information more quickly than others). Those are only some of the symptoms I show, so it's probably safe to group me with people who have Asperger's, although it's probable that I'm just a really whacky individual who can't be classified.

Hey I was just diagnosed with Asperger's. Last Friday in fact.
Crazy thing is, my fiance has it too. I guess that's why I identified with him so well.
My special interest is Lord of the Rings, his is conworlding and conlanging. So it works okay I guess.

well i have a 5 year old cousin. distant cousin at that. but anyway he's austic. and smart for a 5 year old.

My official diagnosis is Autism. I have an average I.Q. I guess that this makes me moderate functioning Autistic.
