I forgive you Criada. I am not offended really, I guess more hurt than
anything that I would be accused of something I haven't done.
If I have done something I am accused of, I am the first to admit it usually, and if I have
said or done something wrong I am usually quick to sincerely apologize.
I try to keep a tender heart toward God and man, that I won't become jaded
or worse, deceive myself.

Obviously I have a heart for souls or I would not even come in here and bother and just let people teach falsely and continue to deceive people who at one time, I believe came here because they were struggling and thought they would find the truth here and a way out, who were looking for that hope, healing and deliverance that they hear is available through Christ.

I can only imagine what it must be like for someone who is not saved to enter a Christian Philosophy and Ethics section and hear such conflicting "truths". Where some who claim they are Christians, deny the Bible as the very foundation of their faith and whose beliefs are the same as atheists and other unbelievers in regards to the things God has said regarding topics of morals and ethics.

And not just this particular topic, but even on abortion and the like.

Anyway, I digress.

Well, I must admit that this is the first time that I've seen your 'human side' IaR. Thanks for that.

I really don't think, however, that you remotely appreciate or understand what it's like for a person who, through no asking of their own, is living in a predominantly heterosexual world as one with homosexual tendencies. This puts them behind the eight ball from the start. To add insult to injury, some or even many of these heterosexual people show hostility or, just as bad, smug Christian contempt toward them in the guise of 'love'. For the 'gay' person this is a double whammy. This orientation that is a big part of their human-ness - and remember that it was something that they NEVER put in a request for - can and does make life very difficult for (some of) them.

Can you honestly not see WHY they would feel the need to group together and perhaps hit out in their own defense at those who treat/regard them so? Any maligned group of people would do so once the straw has broken the camel's back and we've seen many examples of this thru'out history. The so-called 'gay revolution' occurred as a result of a generally hostile response to them by a generally 'straight' society. It was a natural consequence just waiting to happen. There were enough homosexual people - perhaps previously covert - who eventually gained the courage to come out and say openly, "I'm a homosexual and I'm a human being." There were SO many, in fact, that they gained strength in numbers.

I believe that NONE of them ever intended to slight God by addressing the truth of their situation. If anything those who might have previously been living a lie (as a 'straight' person, perhaps even married) took the Bible verse "The truth will set you free" quite literally. They found a freedom that they had never experienced before and this is what we're witnessing today. They merely desire equality and acceptance from their peers - regardless of whatever God may or may not have to say about the issue. But, God, so far, has remained silent. Other than a few well-worn scriptures that Christians like to present which DO NOT adequately address the homosexual situation anyway, God has NOT given the world any visible sign or indication that He objects to otherwise 'decent' people of like orientation desiring to make a marital or permanent commitment to each other. Oh yes, we had 9/11 and the New Orleans hurricane that were attributed to God's wrath against homosexuality by some rather depraved Christian fanatics. This is also an example of the utter craziness that those with homosexual tendencies have to contend with. Then, of course, we have other crazies in the guise of Christians such as the Fred Phelps Family who speak FAR MORE about themselves than they do about homosexuality. It's a wonder that they (homosexuals) haven't REALLY snapped and created blood-shed and anarchy in the streets. But, to their credit ...they haven't.

So, IaR, while you DO appear to have a Christian heart you also, though probably unwittingly, feed the hate-mongers and the crazies who use the same Bible texts with which to condemn others that you do. If you feel that you've done your bit in warning those who you perceive as being 'sinners' then surely God will recognize that you did your best ...believing as you do. Meanwhile, however, you probably need to regard homosexuals with dignity, with respect, and with equality ...the same as you would like to be regarded by others. Perhaps that would please God also.

You said this in a post where you also talked quite a bit about logic and grammar, so please help us understand your logic and grammar.

Plenty of people understand my logic and grammar to such an extent that they merely quote my whole post and post ‘Amen’ You and others don’t have any trouble with my grammar and logic because most of the time it isn’t mine but rather direct quotes from the Bible. You make out you have trouble because you are convicted by the truth of what the Bible says and angry aout it and anyone who points it out.

Then you must think God also created adulterers, no He didn’t, nor did He create homosexuals. He created man and woman for a purpose and it’s the opposite purpose to homosexual. I am not denying God created man and woman, but you are in denial that He created them to be united. You cherry pick with selective interpretation and eisegesis to form a falsehood.
Genesis 2 - “she shall be called 'woman, for she was taken out of man. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.”

If you cant see what the creation accounts says about man and woman being created to be united, I don’t expect you would see anything about celibacy if it was there. Celibacy wasn’t a point raised by me.

Well if you are not interested in what "there is no mention of" then why are you defending a thread titled "Where is it mentioned in the Creation Accounts...?

The question is why are you.

Celibacy isn't mentioned either so that must also be a perversion as well, eh?

The NT teaching of Jesus Christ says it isn’t so why are you asking me. Read Matt 19. 1 Cor 7 etc.
