That's right, we have no excuses!

Lol.. well... ehh..

It is not believing in God...even very good practicing Orthodox Jews believes in God...it's believing in what Jesus did for you and a relationship with him that counts!

So you think the verse is saying that we all believe in Jesus deep down? Because it seems to vague to be pointing to something that specific. Then again this was written in a time when most people were spiritual and such a verse would probably mean nothing if it wasn't narrowed down.

That's really ignorant. "Allah" is the Arabic word for "God".
Call me names all you wish but that doesn't change the fact. Through out the eons there have been many translated as God but the true ignorance, as you put it, may be the belief that Allah of the Quran is the same as God of the Bible...Muslims and Christians do not worship the same God. The God of the Bible is Triune God the Father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit.
As a Christian , Jesus is God, Muslims who pray to Allah, do not believe in Jesus as God, do you?

but the wisdom of the spirit surmounts the wisdom of men. to read with spiritual eyes that the bible was corrupted could mean that people did not understand what it was saying and thus it was "corrupted". angels work much harder than humans in this world to assure that everything points humans in a good direction as much as that is possible, but still, humans remain free to understand and believe whatever they want though the more spiritual light they have the less fleshly/childish problems they shall also have.

Well, the fact that Christianity was divided into thousands of different sects indicates that there were significant differences in how it was understood. But I would agree with you that the guidance was still there.

There is no such thing as an Arab Christian that believes in Allah. A true believer in Jesus Christ has the Holy Spirit inside them....it is impossible for a believer in Allah to have Jesus inside them!

Then I guess there are no Arab Christians. You just made twelve million Christians in the world disappear. Congratulations! Glad we don't have to worry about what happens to those Christians in Syria anymore.

Neither do Jews which would disprove your original thesis that the Christian God is Yahweh. Perhaps that is why Yahweh is never mentioned in the NT.

Or maybe we can just stop this silliness altogether and acknowledge that different religions teach different things about God. And you know what? God is exalted above all their conceptions.

Long story. You can read about it here.

I'd be inclined to call you a universalist rather than a pagan, because to me paganism denotes polytheism. But of course it is your prerogative to call yourself whatever you like.

Look, you never once mentioned Arab Christians that believe in and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior....there are many true Christians like this and they are daily having their heads cut off!
What you instead talk about are "Arab Christians" that worship Allah and do not accept Jesus as Lord.....they are NOT Christian.
For the benefit of other readers, let's please keep it straight what we are talking about!

Are there other types of Christians?

.there are many true Christians like this and they are daily having their heads cut off!

And they call God Allah too.

What you instead talk about are "Arab Christians" that worship Allah and do not accept Jesus as Lord.....they are NOT Christian.

I never said a word about them not accepting Jesus. I wouldn't call anyone who didn't accept Jesus a Christian. This is something you made up. I merely pointed out they called God Jesus.

For the benefit of other readers, let's please keep it straight what we are talking about!

You are the one who has apparently confused yourself.

True, universalism (both theological and soteriological) is
definitely part of my path as well.

It would be nice if we had more wiggle-room in the
faith-label department. I belong to another forum where
people are free to fill in the blank describing their
religious affiliation with what they consider themselves to
be, in their own words, and are free to change that
anytime they wish, without asking first. Unfortunately,
CF doesn't currently carry a label that would fit where
I'm at spiritually at the moment, which might be
described as a kind of panentheistic mysticism.

I'm finding it just as hard to fit myself into a theological
box as it is to fit God into one, lol!

Only the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and that God is NOT Allah!
The Image of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was much closer to the image that Islam has of God than it is to the image that Christianity has of God with it's Trinity stuff.

I guess no one ever imagined his kids could happen on a discussion like this. Being bots and spiders pick up keywords and spread them on search engines. Muhammad Ali is a big one.

To answer the first question, everywhere.

Energy, which is what we all are, doesn't die. It returns to the elemental plain and becomes part of all there is.
If he was cremated and his ashes scattered he would have joined the winds, the surf, the ground, the flora and fauna. All things in the material world where ash serves a purpose.

Being he was buried, if he was glued shut in all his orifices that were first stuffed with wadding, and then pumped full of preservative chemicals that would have his body shrink a bit but remain in tact for at least 100 years in a high priced box with silk lining and of all things a pillow, he is now preserved contrary to the natural laws. But dead he is. And dead he remains.

The moral of Ali's story?

Live every day like it's all you have. Because every religion on earth goes on faith there's something after. And near death experiences aren't reporting actual death experiences.

Live with no regrets. Because when you're dying it's too late.

Muslims don't accept Jesus Christ.
This is true.
They don't even credit him with the credentials of "christ" that Christians do.
Muhammad Ali did not accept christ as his savior. In fact, Mr.Clay was raised Baptist. He renounced that when he became what is called a black Muslim. Following the teachings of Elijah Muhammad.
That's why when he refused to answer the draft during the Vietnam war one of his reasons was to say he would not take part in Christian wars.

Muslims believe that Jesus is the Messiah which would give him the "christ" credentials. It's Jews that don't believe Jesus was Messiah (or prophet, or anything except a man)

Those were Ali's words.

Never heard of the Crusades?
I don't think they were Christian, at all.
Not Christ like.
They claimed they were, and probably ill taught Christians were involved, but that doesn't make it Christian (as in Christ like).
