If God doesn't play any kind of sexual role, and has no other equal, and doesn't reproduce and make other Gods with some female Godess, then how does God have a gender?

I have no idea really. But He made sex to represent some things on earth apparently. I don't think that one could get a proper understanding of the depth of the issue by imagining God as physical.

But on the topic of sex, I have a question for evos. Would it not make more sense for male and female to have been put on the planet at the same time, as far as reproduction goes!? Have you any fossils of creatures of no gender, or of just the one gender for millions of years, till the male female thing got rolling?

For man, this may be true. God reveals Himself to man, at least in the Father and the Son, as male. God has babies too, no? He had Jesus. Every soul that is saved is His child. I don't recall Moses, who heard God speak correct us on whether God was a male? Nor Job? Etc etc. The voice from heaven when Jesus got baptized, that said 'this is my son, hear ye him' did not evoke responses from the crowd such as 'why is the voice female, and so high pitched?'

I have to take the record for what it is. Jesus talked about His Father, and "our" Father! We have it on the highest authority then.

I just don't think one can accuse God of being confused about His gender.

It sounds to me like things only change to suit your argument. Every soul saved is his child, but Jesus is his only son? Hearing his voice as if on some sort of cosmic PA system?

It'd help if you fundies would stop speaking in metaphor all the time and just be practical in your descriptions. Maybe more people would convert to Christianity. Why conceal what your Lord has to offer by speaking in enigmatic contradictions? Why not just come out and use plain, logical, sentences? Ever wondered WHY unbelievers can't understand the spiritual? That's on you, bub.

We don't even need fossils for an example. Such living things exist like that today.

No, He has lots of sons. Jesus is His only begotten son.

Yes.

That is nonsense of course. Having some plants or creatures have asexual reproduction does not mean all did. It doesn't mean man did.

You weren't talking about man. You said:

Have you any fossils of creatures of no gender, or of just the one gender for millions of years, till the male female thing got rolling?

I posted a link to asexual reproduction. Anything producing asexual consists of one (or none, depending on how you look at it) gender. In other words, we don't even need fossils to show that some living things have no gender because there are plenty that exist today.

Oh, and it's funny, you tell me to get saved so I can understand. It's one of the silly points covered in the video I posted. (Dur, I need you to believe me and there is proof, but you have to believe me first to see the proof... yeah, that's the ticket)

I'm not talking about understanding the spiritual, I'm talking about understanding your metaphoric bible babble. Unless, that is, you're saying one becomes a total moron, incapable of logic or speaking in normal sentences once filled with the Holy Spirit. If that's the case, then still, no thanks. I'd like to keep my sanity and my brains, thx.

That is ridiculous to the thinking man.

Of all the creatures on the planet, how many are now asexual? For the sake of argument, what, 0.666%? That means 99.444% are sexual. So, why would anyone assume that an infinitesimal asexual minority of what exists in effect created all things?? Now, if you have a magical lifeform and you claim all things came from this imaginary godless wonder, and you claim present slow evolution was in place, would we not see a lot of sexless creatures for millions and millions and imaginary millions of years in the record? I mean have you a fossil of one of these things having a baby by osmosis or something? What evidence do you have?? Surely you don't expect us to look at some asexual action in present creatures, and think that is the evidence all things were that way!?

Not my idea. God is the one that said we needed to be born again of the spirit.

If you think a Christian is supposed to explain the Father, and in what way He is what He is to anyone, you are not being reasonable.

I'm not claiming God is asexual. You're claiming God has a gender, but can't seem to explain why. I don't even think God exists. So you're really just wasting your breath here.

You're also the one drawing the conclusion that I'm saying every living thing was asexual at one point. I have no idea where you're getting this from.

You were looking for an example of life that wasn't male or female and I showed you that it exists.

If you think a Christian is supposed to explain the Father, and in what way He is what He is to anyone, you are not being reasonable.

Oh, so what you're saying is that Christians can't even explain what the fundamental aspects of it's own religion are? That sounds to me like a complete backfire for this thread. ^_^

Well, how would we know? Man's gender is relative to his world, and body, etc. God has no such limits. At best the way He made us is a little shadow of greater realities of the spirit.

And at worst the way we made Him is a glorified reflection of ourselves.

God claimed He was the Father. Not me.

Well, if things were neither male nor female, I am not sure what else you think they were. Or claim they were. Or weren't.

You were looking for an example of life that wasn't male or female and I showed you that it exists.
No I wasn't. Of course it exists. So? The issue is how all creatures reproduced, man and beast and fish, and plants, etc, without being created male and female as evos claim.

Not at all. My religion has nothing to do with explaining the Father. It has to do with accepting His gift.

what the hell happened to you dad? i thought you hated gravity?

Not at all, not sure where you get these strange little ideas. Not from me. Why hate a force?
i see you tried my experiment
and i thought i told you atoms have tiny gravitational effects. so why would that be the source of gravity?
You tell me? Someone say it was? What do you say?

How are gravitons dead?

How are the Jetsons dead? The thing is, they never really existed, gravitons are a way to try to explain gravity in a same state way.
did you solve string theory yet?

Yes. It was BS.

I thought you were the one who said in an earlier post that God is made in the image of man...or was it the other way around?

You tell us. Since you are the one supposedly quoting stuff.

I thought it was funny to draw the logical conclusion that God has a penis. The testosterone might explain some of the OT behaviour.

You can ask Him, if it deeply concerns you.

Mind you, God could be female

Nope. Not the God of the bible, the Living God of Jacob, and Abraham.

To be strictly accurate: You say God claimed he was the Father.
It's interesting that you guys complain about how I interpret the Scriptures, and you can't even ascertain His gender from those same Scriptures.

Is it any wonder I ignore you guys for the most part?
