The world does not need to react to what you 'assume'. You need more. That's what its all about.
The whole world nearly unanimously agrees that the universe is physical lol. Its not the most groundbreaking discovery. as i said can you show that it isnt? the pressures on you

If it is, fine with me, what would I care? It won't be long anyhow. But the thing is, you don't actually know. So I will assume it is also spiritual. That gives a whole new range to interpreting stuff. If a star is red we can ask...is it a fallen angel star? Or etc etc. Not all things need to be attributed to physical only gas. Phew.

I would be fine with another avenue for hypothesis, but when it encourages you to ignore or argue against actual evidence we have lost something real and valuable. The understanding of our world has changed our lives.

I'm really surprised to hear you take the"better safe than sorry" route. I think it is more honest, but it admits to the possibility you are wrong.

You don't know it's spiritual. It's just a guess. Science studies the physical universe, the parts that can be proven. Funny thing about spirituality and the supernatural -- once you're able to prove either exists, they are no longer spiritual or supernatural.

So I will assume it is also spiritual.

Then don't call it science.

That gives a whole new range to interpreting stuff. If a star is red we can ask...is it a fallen angel star?

First, show me an angel. Then show me that they make stars. Then show me that fallen angels make red stars. Daydreaming and make believe are not science.

Or etc etc. Not all things need to be attributed to physical only gas. Phew.

All things that we can have evidence for can be studied in science. You can't study angels or unicorns or leprechauns, except in the literary sense - or make believe. "What if Frodo never made it to Mt Doom?" is not science. "What if red stars are fallen angels?" is not science.

FYI, red stars are red because they generally burn cooler than most other stars.

What's the emission spectrum of a fallen angel?
Well, assuming that we would see a redshift effect, is of course just a teaser, for discussion sake. No one really knows. Certainly not science. What sort of 'ship' or area would an angel have surrounding it? What would be the relationship between the being, and the 'starship'? These and many other things we have no way of knowing. But we can deduce from evidence that the stars do contain some materials, such as hydrogen. I have to trust science that far..? Although I notice that they say the hydrogen is 'flipped' far far away. To get that way, would take (in same state terms) millions and millions of years. Obviously they are that way they are for other reasons, since we also know when they were created.

Can you explain to us here and now, please, how NOT knowing what time or gravity and other basic fundamentals gave anyone anything valuable?? Utterly preposterous. The understanding of God has changed lives.

No one knows the deep things of how God operates, and the spiritual laws and how the eternal state is. All we can do is look at what is known, and what man has observed and recorded so far.

I don't think I could be wrong that this world as is will pass away. I don't think I am wrong to assume that the spiritual operates on different laws.

The understanding of God has changed lives.

Indeed, but in what manner?

I bet you I can prove that a belief in God(s) throughout history has cost more lives than improved them. I'll let you start to see if you're up to it.

I also bet that I can prove that science has saved more lives than cost them.

I'd say religion and science have both changed lives. But which ones did for better or worse is another story.

That is the dumbest responses I have heard in a long time. Sorry, but it is true.

The understanding of God has changed lives.
Sure

No one knows the deep things of how God operates, and the spiritual laws and how the eternal state is. All we can do is look at what is known, and what man has observed and recorded so far.

Great! What we know is what we observe, and that is science.

I don't think I could be wrong that this world as is will pass away. I don't think I am wrong to assume that the spiritual operates on different laws.

Whew! I knew you were a man of blind, unquestioning faith. You scared me for a minute there.

Time will tell. Eternity will show whether tinkering with physical only state sin caused diseases with things like drugs, trumps everlasting happiness and life and love and laughter, and pleasure, and knowledge, and beauty, and music, and fun, and health, and joy, and fulfillment...

To those that can admit what we know, honesty is best. For you, well, apparently it is something different.

Great! What we know is what we observe, and that is science.

Then get out of the creation debate. You never observed it, any more than the new heavens.

Whew! I knew you were a man of blind, unquestioning faith. You scared me for a minute there.

You can come out now. Long as you admit defeat, I am harmless.

Good point, let's wait until we're all dead to find out whether we could have improved our lives.

I have admitted multiple times that we don't know where the fundamental forces come from, and even that we will never know the details of the most fundamental thing we understand. That does nothing to take away from what science does know and has done. That is why your response was, sorry to say, stupid.

Direct observation of an event is not the only way to understand an event. For example, courts are built around this idea. Should a judge or jury only convict someone if they were present during the crime?
