• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Practicality in the sense you know need natural help for your issues but faith to believe God can also help?
I have a friend who was showing signs as if she had dementia. It seems likely that she has an infection that is affecting her brain. She's now on medication. Part of her problem is that she has not been sleeping. So some of the issue is natural. I've also cast out evil spirits. She improved instantly.

If psychology is helping, if meds are helping, good. But pray and ask God's help also. He knows the cause of the problem, not just the symptoms.

I was showing signs of schizophrenia. I prayed and stumbled upon a book that taught digestive issues can effect the brain. I went on the diet and my issues ended within two weeks I was normal I've sense found I'm gluten intolerant and had two nut allergies. Its likely those foods that created my problems but without that diet I never would have been healthy enough to find that solution.

I am not clear as to all you are referring to, but 'faith' in God and 'salvation' through His "beloved Son" is the ONLY way to access our Creator-God (see John 3:16; John 14; 1 Jn. 5: 10-12). Some people believe there is a god and do not really know Him or live for Him; and thus their god is only of their imagination. We either walk and talk with our Savior about everything affecting our life, or we only are hoping things might go well as long as there might be a god. We need to know and trust our Creator!

The God of Heaven will ALWAYS care for His 'children' and come to help in 'times of trouble' and need as He tells His own faithful ones in our Bible. Jesus said: "ask anything in my Name, and I will do it". Can we faithfully do that? I hope this might be of some help, friend.
