First you tell me what I believe, when you are completely wrong. I do not think I am cooler than anyone because I am an atheist.

What about crocodiles, or horseshoe crab? Do they count? Ginko trees? Lingula lamp shell? tuatara lizard? Neopilina molluscs? Do any of those count?

So in hundreds of millions of years, these animals remained roughly the same while other animals all underwent massive physiological changes including radical things like dinos to birds. Color me unimpressed. These animals supposedly survived a massive impact that devastated pretty much every other living thing, and somehow magically became immune to the same mutations that changed every other life form so drastically? Do you see the disconnect? ToE says that mutations are at the heart of how everything evolved, yet these animals (and plants) just to name a handful stand in defiance of that most basic premise.

Oh? What did I get wrong? Isn't mutations one of the major driving factors of evolution? Aren't those animals I listed nearly identical to their fossilized ancestors? Does this or does this not go against the idea that after hundreds of millions of years, these animals should be vastly different from their ancestors? If mutations aren't part of the basics of ToE, then perhaps you should enlighten us, considering we "creationists" are constantly beaten over the head with them being how evolution works.

As an aside, you mention there are so many things wrong with this that you weren't going to address it, yet in a way, you did. If my post is so flawed why bother responding at all? Why not let everyone see how wrong it is on their own? Otherwise your post only looks like you want to be nasty and confrontational. If that is the case, what have I said to you to illicit such animosity?

But a catastrophe like a massive impact that causes world wide extinctions, is not a niche in equilibrium. Constant ice ages and warm periods is not equilibrium. You see my point is that if we grant deep time, we have to admit that the earths environment is in flux. That being said, crocodiles for instance should be vastly different now from the ones we find in the fossil record right? They'd probably need some major adaptations and changes in hundreds of millions of years, and we would expect them to look very different, yet they are nearly identical.
