How did you get a room?
Are you calling me a liar? You don't even know what's in my room. If you haven't explored every part of my room then you cannot know for sure what is inside of my room. When you choose to reject my claims about what is inside of room you do so with insufficient data.

People are too quick to assume, to judge, to call others liars. Why do we have to do that? Why do we have to make fun of people like that? If I had a personal encounter with Christ then why call me a liar? People say that they have actually seen dinosaurs, too. Why are we so good at not believing people? Is it because we are tired of all the jerks that are either telling lies or are simply crazy or misinformed? Once lived a town that didn't believe the boy who cried wolf until there really was a wolf, but then it was too late & that wolf blew down their houses, ate some pork, & then ate their children alive. Why are we repeating history like that all over again?

I have an open mind, but I don't like to fill it with equine dung. When you make a claim, back it up. Otherwise based on all existing evidence, there's zero reason to accept your claim at face value.

And in every single case that has been thoroughly looked at it turned out they were either mistaken, drunk or lying.

Inference from prior data is the most important guide in our lives.

Apparenty, people say many things exist, and usually for those reasons.

I have a feeling these guys want to like you, Joey -- (if they don't already) -- but your insistence that there could be a dinosaur in your room poses a challenge for them that they aren't prepared to deal with.

You see -- you're just ... well ... Joey.

And that means that you're not qualified to speak of things they can't see, because you're ... well ... Joey.

On the other hand, if you were a big shot, lab-coated, formula-spouting, cholerage-educated scientist, with two or three letters after your last name, then you could talk about a dragon in your neighbor's garage, a cat in a box, even a teapot circling the sun, and you would be the admiration of Internet scientists everywhere -- even get your picture on Wikipedia.

See where I'm coming from, Joey?

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. It's as simple as that. I'm sure we'd all love to be proven wrong by the dinosaur in your room.

Well he's the only one if he does.
Really?

I mean, really?

You think others here who know me are just as clueless as to what I'm saying as a newbie?

He would probably win a Nobel Prize in the "dragon-in-a-garage" category! (Marie Curie won that one 15 times in a row!)

Well, I wouldn't. It would mean Joey is in serious danger! Especially if it is a carnivore! If he has an Albertasaurus in his room he should really get out of there quickly!

Run, Joey, Run!

Am I a newbie?
I know what you are saying. I don't always agree with what you say, but I understand it... Well, except the challenge thread. They get me lost, but not the embedded age... usually or sometimes... maybe on rare occasions I almost understand what you write.

Never mind. delete this post.

Am I a newbie?
Nope -- :)
I know what you are saying.
Thank you. I was hoping someone who actually knew me, and have spent some time here, would actually back me up.
I don't always agree with what you say, but I understand it...
Again, thank you.

The challenge threads are little mental exercises, meant to get people to actually understand my/our beliefs a little better.

Your exaggerated assumption generalization ignores & bypasses the sincerity & curiosity & fear of natives, tribes, people who are cut off from the internet, from western civilization mentality, from Hollywood, from us people, from our international society. They don't even know what dinosaurs are but they are clearly able to point at our pictures of dinosaurs. They have no reason to lie about their encounter with these larger animals, the horrifying monsters that they see, hear, smell, taste, encounter, experience, feel.
