Pretty big. 40ft long and 20 tons. (that is the record size for one) Second largest fish in the world.

Thought they could get longer. I sailed past one, so close I could've grabbed it's dorsal fin. Had no idea what it was, and this was a good 3 days at sea; not exactly where you want to find yourself suddenly with a large hole in your boat! 27' feet long, with me sitting at the helm I would be almost 5' out of the water, and would not have had to reach down to grab the fin. At that point we had sailed over the snout, and the tail fin was well forward of the mast. That is one big fish! (Glass calm seas, no ability to maneuver, boat never did touch the critter, didn't find out what it was til a trip to the library)

Except that there were 2 (or 7) of each "kind" on your hypothetical ark. So, either you are claiming the bible is wrong (the dyno's didn't make onto the ark), or tney went extinct immeditaly after your hypothetical flood.
But that begs the quuestion why the dyno's went extinct and not the other animals.

Cuz there were only 2 of them. And Noah picked the wrong 2 ;)

The dinosaurs went extinct after the Flood; which exposed the earth to a new climatology -- polar.

After the dinosaurs got off the Ark, they flourished for awhile, but couldn't handle the new weather.

Most of them -- in my right to have an opinion -- are on Neptune.

Whoa. They couldn't handle the weather here, couldn't find any parkas that fit, so they packed off to Neptune?

Fossilization requires a variety of events occurring to preserve the material from either being scavenged or oxidized away or broken down in any number of ways leaving nothing sufficient to preserve.
How do you know this?

That's a good question.

At any time, a paleontologist could start digging, and a whole geyser of fossils could erupt from the ground.

I think it happened once before and was called the 'Cambrian explosion' or something.

^_^ Oh my sides hurt ^_^

I invoke Poe's law ^_^^_^

I have to correct you on biblical matters. The animals came to Noah, Noah didn't picked them.
So your god send the wrong ones to Noah?

I'm [ironically] glad, Rick, that you and atheists can join forces to ridicule other Christians.
No, AV1611VET, no. It is definitly what you say that earns you to be ridiculed, and not being christian. I don't know anyone here who ridicules RickG, Verysincere, NGC1672 or Lucaspa (long time not seen). They have christian faith symbols too, but are never ridiculed. Why, because they don't say ridiculous things.

It's what you say, not what you are.

Are there dinosaurs in the deepest parts of the Congo jungles?

Yes, avian ones and possibly non-avian ones, though it's improbable.

The existance of Mokele Mbembe wouldn't effect evolution one bit as long as the being fit into standard phylogenetic relationships.
