I know what your saying... But if Jesus fulfilled the law and created a new covenant why should Jews continue in the law?... It was fulfilled by Jesus?...
Look at every place you see the word,'' Commandment''
Look at every place you see the word,'' Law.''
Jesus fulfilled the law in that he did not break the law, but the law is certainly not finished. If you look for a future fulfillment of anything, it means the law is not finished, and Jesus tells us it is not fulfilled until the earth is burned up.
Paul clearly proved himself as a man who kept the law all his life, and the tens of thousands of Jews became even more zealous in keeping it BECAUSE they believed. That is what it says.
The law still defines sin, and the keeping of the law defines love.
We have an advocate now, in case we sin unknowingly.
1 John 2.
2 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, I know Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
All the Jews who believed in Jesus became even more zealous in keeping every jot and tittle BECAUSE the curse of the law is taken away because we now have an advocate.
Acts 21
20 When they heard this, they praised God. Then they said to Paul: You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews have believed, and all of them are zealous for the law
Then everyone will know there is no truth in these reports about you, but that you yourself are living in obedience to the law. 25 As for the Gentile believers...............
Gentile believers were not raised as Jews and they are let out of much, but the law stands, the law still judges, and NOBODY is released from ethical laws, and moral laws.
In the keeping of the law, you learn love, all the laws teach this one simple lesson, love God, and love your neighbor.
It is such a shame that Christianity misses out on so much revelation of Jesus, because in knowing the law, you know Jesus.
Every little law is about him.
Can we judge whether a person loves God and loves God's people?
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Why has the commandments become so burdensome?
When we are shown so much evidence of Paul and all the Jews continuing in the law, why are there so many people who choose to believe otherwise?
Jesus is not a law breaker, Jesus taught the law, Paul taught the law and kept the law.
To say that Jesus broke the law, and all of them taught Jews to forsake the law is the most heinous thing anyone could say.
