CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sampa, thanks.
Been a rough start to the new year. Mom fell 3 hrs into 2022 3:00 a.m. and broke her left femur above the knee (spiral break).
She has had surgery monday 3rd and that went well, but no walking for 3 months. So i am taking a leave from work and looking after her, a lot of diaper changes. I will not be around much but did see your birthday mention.

Thanks for checking in. That sounds horrible. I'm so sorry for how things started out. My mom, step dad and I took care of my grandmother for more than a year. So I feel your pain with the diaper changes. It's very difficult. That's also one of the reasons in my dating profile that I say I cannot relocate, because I want to be available if one of my parents goes down and it will be a team effort to take care.
Although it doesn't seem much, I am thankful for another year that the Lord has given you. Happy belated birthday! Take time to take care of yourself also, as a caregiver, there is a lot of burden. I hope you can find time to take walks every once in awhile.

So for some reason at your age around 32 I had some difficulties also. A woman told me that Jesus was around that age when he went through the crucifixion. There was something comforting about hearing that with the trials that I was going through at that age.No, it's just 33. I just am not looking forward to it being close to mid-30s, haha. I don't know if you are going through any hardships or spiritual battles, just know that whatever valley you are going through there is a mountain on the horizon. Trust me from my own experience. 32 to 33 is probably the lowest point besides my teen years going through. But in my teen years I didn't have Christ.
I pray that you will be able to press into Jesus (if indeed a hard trial comes) and that he will bring a new song to your heart as he did with me.

Thanks for volunteering though. I hope there will be more. I'm not always good at remembering, so hopefully that'll be a good reference for others. We should always celebrate these mile markers. I'm already thinking about what I'm going to do for my 50th, about a year from now. I will probably be celebrating the whole year with different friends doing different things.

Just went through the year and marked all the birthdays listed here so far on my calendar. I will have a break for the Daniel fast during the lens season and will be off of here but we'll make sure to still get a birthday advance notice out. Or at least a belated birthday.
