And yes, of course, it's all because of those violent video games. Yeah, it's a good thing people in Japan don't play video games. Oh wait, they do! And they have one of the lowest violent crime rates in the world.

Completely different culture there. So once again, it comes down to the people, not the tools.

Well, since you seem to have an interest in this,
did you ever look into what all the school / mass / schootings had in common for the last 40 years,( with perhaps no exceptions, or maybe just 2 or 3 exceptions) ?

A few times up to 10 years ago, it was published though not advertised much. Just recognized at least.

Then the coverup began even more.

That is a sad truth and they need to be kept locked and accessible to children.
How do we define "children" do not get me wrong I agree with your point, but at what age is it the kid/person and not the fact that the parent had a gun? In other words, if you have a three year old that shoots someone that is on the parents because they did not know better, but why should a parent be held liable if their 13 year old ( who should know and understand the power of the firearm) gets hold of the gun (especially if it is not just lying around.

But that isn't happening. So, now what do we do?
Do like we are now and impose sentences on parents of young children who leave the gun where kids can access it.

The church needs to deal with their filth, hypocrisy, corruption, and rotten decaying ideology (idolatry) as well. Love the sinner, hate YOUR sin. Take the log out of your eye before taking the plank out of someone else's. Get YOUR house in order before ranting about other people getting theirs in order.

Sure, I have no argument with that, it's needed. That why some are not emotional about school shooting. We should not be judging the shooter. Right.

It's not a gun problem. It's a sin problem. What can stop a bad guy with a gun? A good guy with a gun. I hate it. But you're not making a sitting duck out of me...
No one wants to make a sitting duck out of you. And that argument is dead in the water. How about keeping the bad guy from getting the gun in the first place by enforcing strict background checks and not selling certain weapons?

What if one of those teachers decides to fire on their students?

And who cares about PP? One life lost is one too many, no matter where it's from.
Well anyone with a gun could do that it is really a poor arguent what is to stop anyone from harming another with anything? As for one life being one too many so I guess by that logic we should ban cars, cell phones pain medication.

I played Tomb Raider growing up. That involves "gun violence," and I turned out fine!
Your right and lot of people own guns and they don't go out killing people.

Yeah, that's kind of already happening. Chicago has pretty strict gun laws. Would you say that Chicago is pretty safe? How about Washington DC?

If a gun control advocate was walking down a road with me and two big guys came out of the bushes to assault her, and I was armed. Would she say "help!" or would she say "no, go on and forget about me. I'll trust in the Lord to save me."

I understand your point and it is a horrible place to have to be. That is why I said earlier to teach your children morals and get off of Tv and video games and spend time with them. Teach them good things and stop letting them be brainwashed by media

Same argument could be made about school shootings. When someone is there shooting up the place, do they call the police (people with guns), or do they say, "More guns in the school is not the answer! Let's sit down and talk about this."?

Which means it sounds more like a mental health issue than anything
Maybe it's not mental health, maybe it's desperation because kindness and mercy and goodness are so rare nowadays. Apparently both Atheists and Evangelicals are not willing to show any of those.

Please inform me how your going to stop the sale of illegal guns to bad guys, when we can't even stop the sale of illegal drugs.

Yes, 'cause using violence to combat violence always leads to world peace.
Sometimes violence is sadly the only way to bring peace. It should ALWAYS be a last resort, but sometimes it have to be done.
